Landslides constitute a significant hazard to human life, safety and natural resources. Traditional landslide investigation methods demand considerable human effort and expertise. To address this issue, this study introduces an innovative landslide segmentation framework, EMR-HRNet, aimed at enhancing accuracy. Initially, a novel data augmentation technique, CenterRep, is proposed, not only augmenting the training dataset but also enabling the model to more effectively capture the intricate features of landslides. Furthermore, this paper integrates a RefConv and Multi-Dconv Head Transposed Attention (RMA) feature pyramid structure into the HRNet model, augmenting the model's capacity for semantic recognition and expression at various levels. Last, the incorporation of the Dilated Efficient Multi-Scale Attention (DEMA) block substantially widens the model's receptive field, bolstering its capability to discern local features. Rigorous evaluations on the Bijie dataset and the Sichuan and surrounding area dataset demonstrate that EMR-HRNet outperforms other advanced semantic segmentation models, achieving mIoU scores of 81.70% and 71.68%, respectively. Additionally, ablation studies conducted across the comprehensive dataset further corroborate the enhancements' efficacy. The results indicate that EMR-HRNet excels in processing satellite and UAV remote sensing imagery, showcasing its significant potential in multi-source optical remote sensing for landslide segmentation. Old landslides in the Loess Plateau, Northwest China usually occurred over a relatively long period, and their sizes are usually smaller compared to old landslides in the alpine valley areas of Sichuan, Yunnan, and Southeast Tibet. These landslide areas may have been changed either partially or greatly, and they are usually covered with vegetation and similar to their surrounding environment. Therefore, it is a great challenge to detect them using high-resolution remote sensing images with only orthophoto view. This paper proposes the optimal-view and multi-view strategic hybrid deep learning (OMV-HDL) method for old loess landslide detection. First, the optimal-view dataset in the Yan'an area (YA-OP) was established to solve the problem of insufficient optical features in orthophoto images. Second, in order to make the process of interpretation more labor-saving, the optimal-view and multi-view (OMV) strategy was proposed. Third, hybrid deep learning with weighted boxes fusion (HDL-WBF) was proposed to detect old loess landslides effectively. The experimental results with the constructed optimal-view dataset and multi-view data show that the proposed method has excellent performance among the compared methods—the F1 score and AP (mean) of the proposed method were improved by about 30% compared with the single detection model using traditional orthophoto-view data—and that it has good detection performance on multi-view data with the recall of 81.4%. This study focuses on constructions that are vulnerable to fire hazards during wildfire events, and these constructions are known as 'exposures', which are an increasingly significant area of disaster research. A key challenge lies in estimating dynamically and comprehensively the risk that individuals are exposed to during wildfire spread. Here, 'exposure risk' denotes the potential threat to exposed constructions from fires within a future timeframe. This paper introduces a novel method that integrates a spatiotemporal knowledge graph with wildfire spread data and an exposure risk analysis model to address this issue. This approach enables the semantic integration of varied and heterogeneous spatiotemporal data, capturing the dynamic nature of wildfire propagation for precise risk analysis. Empirical tests are employed for the study area of Xichang, Sichuan Province, using real-world data to validate the method's efficacy in merging multiple data sources and enhancing the accuracy of exposure risk analysis. Siliceous minerals of the Dengying Formation in the Gaoshiti–Moxi area in the central Sichuan Basin exhibit four types of quartz crystals (cryptocrystalline quartz, chalcedony, microcrystalline quartz, and megacrystalline quartz) and three structural types: cryptocrystalline, microcrystalline, and mosaic (laminated mosaic, window-hole interrupted mosaic, and arc-laminated mosaic). Siliceous minerals have a great influence on the storage performance of the reservoirs in the Dengying Formation. According to the petrophysical parameters of the Dengying Formation and porosity intersection diagrams, the siliceous dolomite and the reservoirs have low impedance characteristics, which makes it difficult to distinguish between them and leads to difficulties in the characterization and prediction of the reservoirs. The transverse wave velocity is favorable for reservoir characterization. Currently, the main method used to estimate the transverse wave velocity is petrophysical modeling, which establishes a relationship between the elastic and physical parameters of the reservoir. In this paper, the siliceous minerals in the dolomite in the study area are regarded as solid inclusions, and the calculation method of the rock matrix modulus is improved by using solid replacement. Then, an improved petrophysical model is constructed by combining the KT (Kuster–Toksöz) model, the DEM (Discrete Element Method) model, the Gassmann equation, and the Wood equation. The transverse wave velocity is estimated using the improved model under the constraint of the longitudinal wave velocity. The shapes of the transverse wave velocity curves obtained by the improved model and the deviations from the measured velocities are significantly better than those of the Xu–Payne model and other models. The results show that the improved model can effectively estimate the transverse wave velocity of the reservoir in this area, which provides a basis for future reservoir predictions in this area. Landslides are common natural disasters that cause serious damage to ecosystems and human societies. To effectively prevent and mitigate these disasters, an accurate assessment of landslide hazards is necessary. However, most traditional landslide hazard assessment methods rely on static assessment factors while ignoring the dynamic changes in landslides, which may lead to false-positive errors in the assessment results. This paper presents a novel landslide hazard assessment method for the Zagunao River basin, China. In this study, an updated landslide inventory was obtained for the Zagunao River basin using data from interferometric synthetic aperture radar (InSAR) and optical images. Based on this inventory, a landslide susceptibility map was developed using a random forest algorithm. Finally, an evaluation matrix was created by combining the results of deformation rates from both ascending and descending data to establish a hazard level that considers surface deformation. The method presented in this study can reflect recent landslide hazards in the region and produce dynamic assessments of regional landslide hazards. With the increase of shale gas resource exploitation in our country during recent decades, the situations of low gas production, fast production decline rate, and low flowback rate have been appearing in field production. It is an urgent problem to be solved in shale gas production and it is therefore necessary to study the interaction of the shale gas reservoir and the detained fracturing fluid. In this paper, the Longmaxi Formation shale samples of Sichuan Basin were selected for a water invasion experiment. The fracture propagation law, the water invasion front location, and the water invasion thickness of deep and shallow shale reservoirs after water invasion were compared and analyzed by CT scanning technology. Based on the analysis of the experimental mechanism, a numerical simulation model was established. The dimensionless permeability and thickness of the fracturing fluid invasion layer were introduced to analyze the positive and negative effects of fracturing fluid retention on the reservoir. The results show that during the hydraulic fracturing of shale gas wells, fracturing fluid can quickly enter the complex fracture network, and then slowly enter the shale matrix under various mechanisms to form the fracturing fluid invasion layer. Compared with shallow shale reservoirs, deep shale reservoirs have lower porosity and permeability, which propagates microfractures in the matrix induced by fracturing fluid retention, and results in a smaller fracturing fluid invasion layer thickness. Both the negative effect of fracturing fluid retention on shale damage and the positive effect of microfracture formation and propagation exist simultaneously. The higher the dimensionless fracturing fluid invasion layer permeability, the more complex the fracture network formed in the fractured reservoir will be, resulting in a longer stable production period and a better development effect. When the dimensionless fracturing fluid invasion layer permeability is greater than 1, that is, when the positive effect of fracturing fluid retention is greater, and the thicker the dimensionless fracturing fluid invasion layer is, the better the development effect will be. Combining reservoir characteristics and fracture development, the key to obtaining high productivity of a shale gas well is to optimize the soaking time and the speed of flowback in order to extend the stable production period. In this paper, the characteristics of the fracturing fluid invasion layer and the influence of fracturing fluid retention on gas well productivity are deeply studied, which provides a certain theoretical basis for the optimization of shale gas extraction technology and the improvement of the gas–water two-phase productivity prediction method for fractured horizontal wells. As flexible resources, cascaded hydropower stations can regulate the fluctuations caused by wind and photovoltaic power. Constructing pumped-storage units between two upstream and downstream reservoirs is an effective method to further expand the capacity of flexible resources. This method transforms cascaded hydropower stations into a cascaded pumped-hydro-energy storage system. In this paper, a flexibility reformation planning model of cascaded hydropower stations retrofitted with pumped-storage units under a hybrid system composed of thermal, wind, and photovoltaic power is established with the aim of investigating the optimal capacity of pumped-storage units. First, a generative adversarial network and a density peak clustering algorithm are utilized to generate typical scenarios to deal with the seasonal fluctuation of renewable energy generation, natural water inflow, and loads. Then, a full-scenario optimization method is proposed to optimize the operation costs of multiple scenarios considering the variable-speed operation characteristics of pumped storage and to obtain a scheme with better comprehensive economy. Meanwhile, the proposed model is retransformed into a mixed-integer linear programming problem to simplify the solution. The ion-adsorption rare earth deposit developed on the Mosuoying granite in the Panxi area of southwestern China represents a significant advancement in the exploration of ion-adsorption rare earth deposits in Sichuan. Being the first and currently the sole ion-adsorption rare earth deposit in Sichuan, studying its rare earth mineralization characteristics holds great importance. This paper aims to investigate the geochemical properties of the Mosuoying granite and its overlying weathered crust using rock geochemical methods based on field geological investigations. The findings reveal that the deposit belongs to the light rare earth type, with the ore-forming parent rock attributed to the high-potassium calc-alkaline series. It exhibits a high rock REE content ranging from 419 to 578 ppm, indicating favorable mineralization potential. Hydrothermal alteration reduces the REE content of the parent rock, leading to a notable increase in the LREE/HREE ratio, thus impacting the partitioning of rare earth elements and subsequent ore formation. The distribution characteristics of rare earth elements in each layer of the weathered crust are controlled by the parent rock and exhibit a light rare earth distribution pattern. The completely weathered layer is the main enrichment zone for rare earth elements, and the migration and enrichment patterns of rare earth elements in the weathered crust are evident. From the semi-weathered layer to the completely weathered layer, all REEs were gained, with a higher degree of migration for LREE. From the completely weathered layer to the clay layer, all REEs were lost, and the vertical distribution of rare earth content shows a "low-high-low" pattern. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Based on various velocity fields from Global Positioning System (GPS) data over nearly 20 years in the Sichuan–Yunnan region, this paper calculated the strain rate field and its spatiotemporal characteristics by using an improved least squares collocation method. We evaluated the calculated strain field by extensively discussing the impact of non-tectonic factors on the calculation. Subsequently, we described the present-day strain rate features and their spatiotemporal variations. The results indicate the necessity of considering the influence of non-tectonic factors when calculating the strain rate field by using GPS velocity data. Widespread strain accumulation is observed in the Sichuan–Yunnan region, and significant second strain rate invariant with an average value of 33.1 nanostrain/yr primarily occurs along the eastern boundary faults of the Sichuan–Yunnan rhomboid block, specifically the Xianshuihe–Anninghe–Zemuhe–Xiaojiang fault systems. These fault systems also demarcate the zones with negative and positive dilation strain. According to the spatiotemporal variations of strain rate fields, the northern and southern segments of the Xianshuihe Fault, the Anninghe Fault and its eastern adjacent faults, and the Xiaojiang Fault are undergoing intensifying strain. In the face of the new reform of China's "unified electricity market", the frequency regulation ancillary service market in each region of China is still divided between using the MCP and PAB pricing mechanisms. The purpose of this paper is to explore the different impact the laws of the above two pricing mechanisms have on the frequency regulation market and to provide relevant suggestions for this electricity market reform. This paper simulates the competitive activities of the frequency regulation market based on the multi-agent simulation model, conducts a comparative experiment by changing the pricing mechanism to a single variable based on the rules of the Sichuan frequency regulation market in China, and concludes that MCP can make the market fast and stable, and that its market settlement price is low, which is suitable for the "unified electricity market". Although PAB makes the market settlement price high, it can ensure the retention of high-performance units in the market, and the stable settlement price makes this model able to accurately reflect the "price signal", making it suitable for late adoption in the "unified electricity market". Several possible lithosphere–atmosphere–ionosphere coupling mechanisms before earthquake occurrence are presented in the literature. They are described by several models with different interaction channels (e.g., electromagnetic, mechanics, chemical, thermal), sometimes in conflict with each other. In this paper, we search for anomalies six months before the Lushan (China) 2013 earthquake in the three geo-layers looking for a possible view of the couplings and testing if one or another is more reliable to describe the observations. The Lushan earthquake occurred in China's Sichuan province on 20 April 2013, with a magnitude of Mw = 6.7. Despite the moderate magnitude of the event, it caused concern because its source was localized on the southwest side of the same fault that produced the catastrophic Wenchuan event in 2008. This paper applies a geophysical multi-layer approach to search for possible pre-earthquake anomalies in the lithosphere, atmosphere, and ionosphere. In detail, six main increases in the accumulated seismic stress were depicted. Anomalous geomagnetic pulsations were recorded in the Chengdu observatory, sometimes following the increased stress. Atmosphere status and composition were found to be anomalous in several periods before the earthquake, and, spatially, the anomalies seem to appear firstly far from the upcoming earthquakes and later approaching the Longmenshan fault where the Lushan earthquakes nucleated. The Formosat-3 data identified interesting anomalies in the altitude or electron content of the ionospheric F2 peak in correspondence with seismic and atmospheric anomalies 130 days before the earthquake. In addition, the total electron content showed high anomalous values from 12 to 6 days before the earthquake. We compared the anomalies and tried to explain their correspondences in different geo-layers by the lithosphere–atmosphere–ionosphere coupling models. In particular, we identified three possible couplings with different mechanisms: a first, about 130 days before the earthquake, with a fast (order of one day) propagation delay; a second, about 40 days before the earthquake occurrence, with a propagation delay of few days and a third from 2.5 weeks until one week before the event. Such evidence suggests that the geo-layers could interact with different channels (pure electromagnetic or a chain of physical-chemical processes) with specific propagation delays. Such results support the understanding of the preparation for medium and large earthquakes globally, which is necessary (although not sufficient) knowledge in order to mitigate their impact on human life. The rapid and accurate extraction of wide-area coseismic landslide locations is critical in earthquake emergencies. At present, the extraction of coseismic landslides is mainly based on post-earthquake site investigation or the interpretation of human–computer interactions based on remote sensing images. However, the identification efficiency is low, which seriously delays the earthquake emergency response. On the basis of the available multisource and multiscale remote sensing data, numerous studies have been carried out on the methods of coseismic landslide extraction, such as pixel analysis, object-oriented analysis, change detection, and machine learning. However, the effectiveness of coseismic landslide extraction was low in wide areas with complex topographic and geomorphic backgrounds. Therefore, this paper offers a comprehensive study of the factors influencing coseismic landslides and researches rapid and accurate wide-area coseismic landslide extraction methods with multisource remote sensing and geoscience technology. These techniques include digital elevation modeling (DEM) and its derived slopes and aspects. An embedded multichannel spectral–topographic feature fusion model for coseismic landslide extraction based on DeepLab V3+ is proposed, and a knowledge-enhanced deep learning information extraction method integrating geological knowledge is formed. Using the Jiuzhaigou Ms7.0 earthquake (seismic intensity VIII) in Sichuan Province, China, a comparison of landslide extraction models and strategies is carried out. The results show that the model proposed in this paper achieves the best balance in the accuracy and efficiency of wide-area extractions. Using multiple feature data of coseismic landslides, the problem of mixed pixels is solved. The rate of the misidentification of landslides as clouds, snow, buildings, and roads is significantly lower than in other methods. The identified landslide boundaries are smoother and more accurate, and the connectivity is better. Compared with other methods, ours can more accurately eliminate landslides not triggered by the Jiuzhaigou earthquake. Climate change has led to more frequent extreme weather events, and various natural disasters have posed risks to the operation of transmission lines. Line failures caused by natural disasters are unpredictable and bring additional maintenance work. Therefore, this paper proposes a transmission line risk reliability assessment method that considers the combined effects of multiple natural disasters. This method establishes a theory of disaster risk quantification that considers the probability of the occurrence of the risk, the degree of the impact of the risk on the line, and the severity of the risk disaster. The risk weights for different natural disasters are calculated by combining a hierarchical analysis and entropy weighting methods. The example of a transmission line risk assessment under the combined effects of multiple natural disasters for a Sichuan region verifies the proposed method's effectiveness. The results show that the method effectively assesses the operational risk to transmission lines under the combined effects of natural disasters. Tectonic extrusion bypassing the eastern Himalayan syntaxis results in a significant increase in regional stress instability and the associated frequent occurrence of earthquakes in southern Yunnan, China. However, the stress field, and the relationship between the focal mechanism of earthquakes and stress evolution in southern Yunnan, remain enigmatic. In this paper, using a modified grid point test method, we calculated the focal mechanism of ML ≥ 2.5 earthquakes in southern Yunnan (22–25° N, 100–104° E) from January 2009 to June 2023. Utilizing the solutions of historical earthquake focal mechanisms, we obtained the present-day regional tectonic stress field in southern Yunnan via inversion. The results indicate complex and diverse seismic focal mechanisms, and the main types of earthquakes are strike-slip events, followed by normal fault and reverse fault events. The orientations of the maximum and minimum principal stress axes rotate in a clockwise direction from northeast to southwest. The internal stress orientation distribution of the rhombic Sichuan–Yunnan block in the study area is consistent, and the block boundary zone is the site where stress deflection occurs, and the regional tectonic stress field is influenced by the interaction among different blocks. The distribution of R-value in the Lamping–Simao block gradually increases from north to south, indicating that the compressive stress required for material transport becomes relatively small. Combined with the geological and tectonic background of the study area, our results suggest that the speed of block movement gradually decreases from north to south; the distribution of R-value in the South China block is significantly smaller than that of the interior of the Sichuan–Yunnan rhombus, and the proportion of compressive stresses is larger, indicating a stronger extrusion in this region, which may be related to the fact that the Sichuan–Yunnan rhombus is strongly resisted by the South China block in the east. Low-resistivity shales are widely developed in the Sichuan Basin. The production of low-resistivity shale gas reservoirs ranges from high to low to none. The existing methods for gas-content prediction cannot accurately predict the gas content of low-resistivity shale. This increases the risk of shale-gas exploration. To prove that the random forest algorithm has apparent advantages in predicting the gas content of low-resistivity shale and reducing the risks associated with shale-gas exploration and development, three prediction methods were selected in this paper to compare their effects. The first method is known as the grey-correlation multiple linear regression method. Low-resistivity shale-gas content logging series were optimized using the grey-correlation approach, and then the low-resistivity shale-gas-content prediction model was established using the multiple linear regression method. The second method we selected was the resistivity method. The improved water-saturation model was used to predict the water saturation of low-resistivity shale, and then the gas content of low-resistivity shale was predicted based on the free-gas content and the adsorbed-gas-content model. The random forest algorithm was the third method we selected. Fourteen logging series were used as input data and the measured gas content was used as supervised data to train the model and to apply the trained model to the gas-content prediction. The findings demonstrated that the grey-correlation multiple regression method had poor accuracy in predicting gas content in low-resistivity shale; The resistivity method accurately predicted water saturation, and the predicted gas content was higher than the actual gas content. Because the random forest algorithm accurately predicted low-resistivity shale-gas content, its use in the Sichuan Basin was advantageous. The sedimentary environment and organic matter enrichment relationship of the Upper Ordovician Wufeng Formation black shale, Guanyinqiao mudstone, and Lower Silurian Longmaxi Formation black shale in the Sichuan Basin of Weiyuan are analyzed using geochemical methods such as organic carbon, sulfur, major elements, and trace elements. The experimental results illustrate that the upper section of the Wufeng Formation and the lower section of the Longmaxi Formation are organic matter enrichment layers. The presence of P indicates a high productivity level in the Sichuan Basin from the Late Ordovician to the Early Silurian. In addition, indicators such as V/Cr, Ni/Co, and S/C suggest that the Wufeng Formation was deposited under anoxic reductive conditions, that the ice age Guanyinqiao segment was in an oxygen-rich to oxygen-poor environment, and that the Longmaxi Formation was in a sulfidic environment. Mo/TOC indicates that the Wufeng Formation shale was controlled by a restricted basin and that the Guanyinqiao segment and the Longmaxi Formation were in a medium-to-weak retention environment. The weak correlation of TOC with P/Al and Al indicates that the level of primary productivity and terrigenous detritus had a minor effect on the organic matter enrichment of the Wufeng and Longmaxi Formation black shale. Conversely, the positive correlation of TOC with V/Cr and Ni/Co illustrates that the anoxic reductive sedimentary environment is the main factor affecting the organic matter enrichment of the Wufeng and Longmaxi Formation black shale. Based on these studies, the development model of organic-rich shales of the Ordovician–Silurian in Weiyuan, Sichuan Basin is proposed. Microfractures can connect isolated pores within shale, significantly increasing the shale's storage capacity and permeability, and benefiting shale gas exploitation. Therefore, the quantitative characteristics of microfractures are important parameters for shale reservoir evaluation. In this paper, taking the Jurassic Da'anzhai Member (J1z4) lacustrine shale in the Yuanba area of the northern Sichuan Basin as an example, we propose a method for comprehensive and quantitative characterization of shale microfractures that combines rock thin section (RTS) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) observations. The different magnifications of RTSs and SEM images lead to the identification and characterization of microfractures of different scales using these two methods. RTSs are mainly used to characterize microfractures with widths larger than 10 μm, while SEM is mainly used to characterize microfractures with widths smaller than 10 μm. These techniques can be combined to comprehensively and quantitatively characterize microfractures of different scales in shale. The microfracture characterization results show that the average total porosity of the J1z4 shale is 4.46%, and the average microfracture surface porosity is 1.20% in the Yuanba area. The calculated average percentage of microfracture porosity to total porosity is 21.09%, indicating that the J1z4 shale reservoir space is dominated by pores and has the conditions for stable shale gas production and potential for shale gas exploration. However, the percentage of microfracture porosity to total porosity of shale near faults and fold zones approaches or exceeds 50%, which may lead to the loss of shale gas. On 5 September 2022, an Ms6.8 magnitude earthquake occurred in Luding County, Sichuan Province, China. Based on Sentinel-1 SAR images, this paper uses the D-InSAR approach to obtain the displacement field of the earthquake, invert the coseismic sliding distribution, and then calculate the static coulomb stress changes of the coseismic deformation on the aftershock distribution and surrounding faults. Further, the seismic structure is analyzed and discussed. The InSAR coseismic deformation field demonstrates that the maximum LoS displacement of the surface deformation caused by the Luding earthquake is about 15 cm. The Luding Ms 6.8 earthquake is dominated by the Moxi fault, which is a left-lateral strike-slip fault that ruptures along the NNW-SSE trend at about 160.3°, and the dip is 81°. The fault depth is mainly 5~15 km, the maximum sliding amount is about 174.8 cm, and the corresponding depth is 8.5 km. The seismic moment tensor obtained by inversion is 1.06 × 1019 Nm, Mw = 6.65. The Coulomb stress generated by the Luding earthquake on the northern end of the Anninghe fault zone exceeded the trigger threshold. The risk of the Anninghe fault's future earthquake was greater, and continuous monitoring and risk assessment were required. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Organic matter serves as the hydrocarbon-generating parent material for shale reservoirs, in which organic pores are also important reservoir spaces. Different types of organic matter have wide differences in hydrocarbon generation and pore-forming ability. Based on the occurrence state of organic matter, in the over-mature Marine shale organic matter mainly includes in situ and migrated organic matter. It has been extensively studied on in situ organic matter and organic matter migrating into inorganic pores, while there are few reports of organic matter migrating into microfractures. In this study, the over-mature Marine shale reservoir in the first sub-member of the Silurian Longmaxi Formation in the Luzhou area of the Sichuan Basin is taken as an example. Core observation, optical microscope, high-precision large-view scanning (MAPS, modular automated processing system) and mineral analysis scanning (QEMSCAN, quantitative evaluation of minerals by scanning electron microscopy) were conducted to observe the morphological characteristics of organic matter veins, and then analyze the genesis and pore-forming characteristics of such organic matter. The results show that: ① Organic matter veins (OM veins) are soluble organic matter with fractures as an effective channel, and OM veins in the study section is easy to form under the condition of micro-fractures in the shale sweet segment after organic matter generating oil and before gas generation ② Organic matter in the OM veins are less efficient in pore-forming, with sparse pores and smaller pore sizes. The occurrence of fractures varies greatly, including horizontal fractures, oblique fractures and high-angle fractures, which are mostly developed in the Long111 and Long112 layers. ③ The development of OM veins can indicate better reservoir conditions, that is, the layers have strong hydrocarbon generation intensity (strong pore-forming ability of organic matter) and high brittle mineral content (strong reservoir compressibility). The new findings in this paper reveal that OM veins are instructive for the determination of geological–engineering sweet spots in the Longmaxi Formation in the Sichuan Basin, and also provide guidance for future research on occurrence form and geological significance of different types of organic matter. Research on government service quality can help ensure the success of digital government services and has been the focus of numerous studies that proposed different frameworks and approaches. Most of the existing studies are based on traditional researcher-led methods, which struggle to capture the needs of citizens. In this paper, a citizen-feedback-based analysis framework was proposed to explore citizen demands and analyze the service quality of digital government. Citizen feedback data are a direct expression of citizens' demands, so the citizen-feedback-based framework can help to obtain more targeted management insights and improve citizen satisfaction. Efficient machine learning methods used in the framework make data collection and processing more efficient, especially for large-scale internet data. With the crawled user feedback data from the Q&A e-government portal of Luzhou, Sichuan Province, China, we conducted experiments on the proposed framework to verify its feasibility. From citizens' online feedback on Q&A services, we extracted five service quality factors: efficiency, quality, attitude, compliance, and execution of response. In this paper, a Comprehensive Diagram Method (CDM) for a Multi-Layer Perceptron Neuron Network (MLPNN) is proposed to realize natural gas energy metering using temperature, pressure, and the speed of sound from an ultrasonic flowmeter. Training and testing of the MLPNN model were performed on the basis of 1003 real data points describing the compression factors (Z-factors) and calorific values of the three main components of natural gas in Sichuan province, China. Moreover, 20 days of real tests were conducted to verify the measurements' accuracy and the adaptability of the new intelligent method. Based on the values of the Mean Relative Errors and the Root Mean Square errors for the learning and test errors calculated on the basis of the actual data, the best-quality MLP 3-5-1 network for the metering of Z-factors and the new CDM methods for the metering of calorific values were experimentally selected. The Bayesian regularized MLPNN (BR-MLPNN) 3-5-1 network showed that the Z-factors of natural gas have a maximum relative error of −0.44%, and the new CDM method revealed calorific values with a maximum relative error of 1.90%. The Gacun deposit is a typical Volcanic Hosted Massive Sulfide (VHMS) associated with Late Triassic seafloor calc-alkaline felsic volcanics. Studies of zircon ages, petrology, major and trace element geochemistry, and Sr-Nd-Hf isotope geochemistry of volcanic rocks from the Northern Yidun arc were undertaken in this paper. We reshaped the Gacun magmatic system activity time, defined the origin of magma evolution, and proposed a metallogenic model of the deposit. Whole-rock major element compositions of the magmatic rocks in the Northern Yidun island arc indicate that they are a complete basalt–andesite–dacite–rhyolite assemblage, showing three obvious stages of composition evolution. They are enriched in large-ion lithophile and light rare earth elements, but depleted in high field-strength and heavy rare earth elements, with weak-to-negligible Eu anomalies (obvious in rhyolite). These geochemical features indicate that the Northern Yidun island arc is a magmatic arc based on ancient continental crust. The Ganzi–Litang oceanic subduction induced mantle melting and produced calc-alkaline basaltic magma, while the MASH processes at the bottom of the crust produced andesitic magma. Part of the andesite magma erupted to form andesite lava. The remaining part was mixed with magma produced via anatexis of ancient crust (approximately 20%–40% of the ancient crustal component), forming the ore-bearing rhyolite. Zircon U-Pb age data defines Gacun magmatic–hydrothermal mineralization sequence of events: At 238 Ma, arc magmatism led to the formation of andesite in the eastern part of the deposit. At 233 Ma, in the arc zone (the western part of Gacun deposit), a large-scale bimodal magmatism formed the main ore-bearing rock series of Gacun deposit, rhyolitic volcanic rocks. At 221 Ma, volcanic eruptions tended to end and sub-volcanic intrusion occurred, forming a lava dome, which was located under the ore-bearing rhyolitic volcanic rocks. The lava dome acted as a thermal engine and promoted hydrothermal circulation. The hydrothermal activity reached a peak at 217 ± 1 Ma, and the Gacun VHMS deposit was formed. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The geological storage of CO2 is a critical technique for reducing emissions, which significantly contributes to the mitigation of the greenhouse effect. Currently, CO2 is often geologically stored in coal seams, hydrocarbon reservoirs, and saline aquifers in order to store CO2 and improve the oil and gas recovery simultaneously. Shale formations, as candidates for CO2 storage, are drawing more attention because of their rich volumes. CO2 storage through shale formations in the Sichuan Basin, China, has tremendous potential because of the readily available CO2 injection equipment, such as abandoned shale gas wells. Therefore, we review the potential of using these wells to store CO2 in this paper. Firstly, we review the status of the geological storage of CO2 and discuss the features and filed applications for the most studied storage techniques. Secondly, we investigate the formation properties, shale gas field development process, and characteristics of the abandoned wells in the Sichuan Basin. Additionally, after carefully studying the mechanism and theoretical storage capacity, we evaluate the potential of using these abandoned wells to store CO2. Lastly, recommendations are proposed based on the current technologies and government policies. The giant panda (Ailuropoda melanoleuca) is a relic species in China and a flagship species in the field of endangered wildlife conservation. The conservation of the giant panda's habitat has gained widespread attention for this reason. Historically, Chinese Giant Panda Nature Reserves are surrounded by communities and the resource utilization behavior of households disturbs the giant panda habitat. Changes in these communities and in Giant Panda Nature Reserves began around 2010, with the feminization and aging of the farm labor force. These changes brought different resource utilization behaviors that led to different evolutionary tendencies in giant panda habitats. This research study assesses the impact of these tendencies based on data from the fourth survey of the giant panda in the Sichuan Province and from geographic information data. The paper aims to uncover the internal mechanisms of farmers' resource utilization behavior in terms of the changes wrought to giant panda habitats. The paper simulates the future habitat of the giant panda based on the LUCC (land use/cover change) model to identify anticipated changes in future landscape patterns and the habitat quality of giant pandas under the current scenarios. The paper analyzes the spatial-temporal change of landscape patterns through the land use transfer matrix, based on the Markov model. The results of the scenario analyses illustrate the spatial and temporal difference in habitat quality. The driving mechanism for landscape pattern change is explored using the logistic regression model. The paper simulates the variation tendency of giant panda habitats under differential labor force structures and resource utilization behavior based on the CA (cellular automata) model, with the robustness of the results verified by participatory experiment. Through four scenarios of simulated farm labor force structure and resource utilization behavior, results suggest that the quality of giant panda habitats in the future will be relatively high when workforce feminization and aging is intense and resource utilization behavior is weakened. The simulated results confirm that the current agricultural labor force structure can reduce the intensity of resource utilization behavior. Fast, accurate, and non-destructive large-scale detection of sweet cherry ripeness is the key to determining the optimal harvesting period and accurate grading by ripeness. Due to the complexity and variability of the orchard environment and the multi-scale, obscured, and even overlapping fruit, there are still problems of low detection accuracy even using the mainstream algorithm YOLOX in the absence of a large amount of tagging data. In this paper, we proposed an improved YOLOX target detection algorithm to quickly and accurately detect sweet cherry ripeness categories in complex environments. Firstly, we took a total of 2400 high-resolution images of immature, semi-ripe, and ripe sweet cherries in an orchard in Hanyuan County, Sichuan Province, including complex environments such as sunny days, cloudy days, branch and leaf shading, fruit overlapping, distant views, and similar colors of green fruits and leaves, and formed a dataset dedicated to sweet cherry ripeness detection by manually labeling 36068 samples, named SweetCherry. On this basis, an improved YOLOX target detection algorithm YOLOX-EIoU-CBAM was proposed, which embedded the Convolutional Block Attention Module (CBAM) between the backbone and neck of the YOLOX model to improve the model's attention to different channels, spaces capability, and replaced the original bounding box loss function of the YOLOX model with Efficient IoU (EIoU) loss to make the regression of the prediction box more accurate. Finally, we validated the feasibility and reliability of the YOLOX-EIoU-CBAM network on the SweetCherry dataset. The experimental results showed that the method in this paper significantly outperforms the traditional Faster R-CNN and SSD300 algorithms in terms of mean Average Precision (mAP), recall, model size, and single-image inference time. Compared with the YOLOX model, the mAP of this method is improved by 4.12%, recall is improved by 4.6%, F-score is improved by 2.34%, while model size and single-image inference time remain basically comparable. The method in this paper can cope well with complex backgrounds such as fruit overlap, branch and leaf occlusion, and can provide a data base and technical reference for other similar target detection problems. Forest fires have frequently occurred and caused great harm to people's lives. Many researchers use machine learning techniques to predict forest fires by considering spatio-temporal data features. However, it is difficult to efficiently obtain the features from large-scale, multi-source, heterogeneous data. There is a lack of a method that can effectively extract features required by machine learning-based forest fire predictions from multi-source spatio-temporal data. This paper proposes a forest fire prediction method that integrates spatio-temporal knowledge graphs and machine learning models. This method can fuse multi-source heterogeneous spatio-temporal forest fire data by constructing a forest fire semantic ontology and a knowledge graph-based spatio-temporal framework. This paper defines the domain expertise of forest fire analysis as the semantic rules of the knowledge graph. This paper proposes a rule-based reasoning method to obtain the corresponding data for the specific machine learning-based forest fire prediction methods, which are dedicated to tackling the problem with real-time prediction scenarios. This paper performs experiments regarding forest fire predictions based on real-world data in the experimental areas Xichang and Yanyuan in Sichuan province. Wide area landslide detection is a major international research hotspot in the field of geological hazards, and the integration of multi-temporal optical satellite images and spaceborne interferometric synthetic aperture radar (InSAR) appears to be an effective way to realize this. In this paper, a technical framework is presented for wide area landslide detection: (i) multi-temporal satellite optical images are used to detect landslides with distinguishable geomorphological features; (ii) Generic Atmospheric Correction Online Service (GACOS) assisted InSAR stacking is employed to generate annual surface displacement rate maps in radar line of sight using satellite SAR images from both ascending and descending tracks, which are in turn utilized to automatically detect active landslides from ground motion using hotspot analysis, and (iii) the distribution characteristics of the detected landslides are investigated by examining their relationships with topographic and hydrological factors. Three expressways in Sichuan Province, China—namely the Yakang (Ya'an-Kangding), Yaxi (Ya'an-Xichang), and Lushi (Luding-Shimian) expressways—and their surrounding regions (a total area of approximately 20,000 square kilometers) were chosen as the study area. A total of 413 landslides were detected, among which 320 were detected using multi-temporal satellite optical images, and 109 were detected using GACOS-assisted InSAR stacking. It should be noted that only 16 landslides were detected by both approaches; these landslides all exhibited not only obvious geomorphological features but also ground motion. A statistical analysis of the topographic and hydrological factors shows that of the detected landslides: 81% are distributed at elevations of 1000–2500 m, over 60% lie within the elevation range of 100~400 m, and 90% present with medium and steep slopes (20°~45°), and 80% are located within areas seeing an annual rainfall of 950~1050 mm. Nine landslides were found to pose potential safety hazards to the expressways. The research findings in this paper have directly benefitted the Sichuan expressways; equally important, it is believed that the technical framework presented in this paper will provide guidance for hazard mitigation and the prevention of transportation hazards in the future. The Jiajika rare metal deposit contains the largest area of granitic pegmatite-type rare metal deposits in China. The X03 vein is an immense rare metal deposit dominated by lithium, which was found in the deposit in recent years. The contact metamorphic belt of tourmalinization and petrochemistry is widely developed in its wall rocks, and the altered rocks formed contain Li and other rare metal mineralization. In this paper, the tourmaline found in the different rocks of the Jiajika X03 vein is divided into four types: two-mica quartz schist (Tur-Ⅰ), tourmaline hornfels (Tur-Ⅱ), tourmaline-bearing granite pegmatite (Tur-Ⅲ) and spodumene-bearing granite pegmatite (Tur-Ⅳ); their in situ major element, trace element and boron isotope data are systematically studied. The results show that all tourmalines in the Jiajika X03 vein deposit belong to the alkali group, and are schorl–Oxy/Fluor–schorl, dravite–Hydroxy-dravite and foitite–Oxy foitite solid solutions, among which Tur-Ⅰ are dravite, Tur-Ⅱ are foitite of hydrothermal origin and Tur-Ⅲ and Tur-Ⅳ are schorl of magmatic origin. The boron isotope values show that the boron involved the formation process of tourmaline mainly originates from the Majingzi S-type granite, and the boron isotope variations in tourmaline are controlled by melt fluid and Rayleigh fractionation. Moreover, there is a clear correlation between the B isotope value of tourmaline and the Li, Mn, Zn, Mg, and V contents, showing that these contents in tourmaline are good indicators of the mineralization type of pegmatite. High graphitization is responsible for low-resistivity shale development with poor reservoir quality. This paper provides an explanation of organic matter graphitization and determines the impact of high graphite content on low-resistivity shale reservoir quality at the Wufeng-Longmaxi Formation in the Southern Sichuan Basin. Fine veins are frequently developed at shale samples with Ro > 3.5%, graphitized organic matter > 25%, and resistivity < 5 Ω•m, which are dominated by three mineral assemblages: brunsvigite, barite-hyalophane-barium feldspar-potassium feldspar-anhydrite, and calcite-ankerite. These filling minerals are characterized by an Eu positive anomaly and high Ba, Fe, and Mn contents, suggesting that low-resistivity shale was modified by magmatic-related low-temperature hydrothermal fluid. Temperature measurements of brine inclusions and a semi-empirical geothermometer of chlorite show that low-temperature hydrothermal fluid experienced the chlorite stage (150–180 °C), the low-sulfidation stage (120–150 °C), and the low-temperature calcitization stage. Paleozoic fault systems and late Permian hydrothermal activities associated with the Emeishan mantle plume control the graphitization of low-resistivity shale. The water formation and seawater infiltrated into the deep crust along the Paleozoic basement faults under gravity, developing alkaline hot brine through mantle plume heating and then causing a water-rock reaction with basement rocks. They migrated upward along deep and large Paleozoic faults through convective thermal circulation in the Tiangongtang area, the Shuanglong-Luochang area, and the Xuyong area. Cation exchange and redox reactions occurred during the interaction between high-temperature hydrothermal fluid and cool wall rocks. The migration of alkaline hot brine via the Wufeng-Longmaxi shale introduced a subsequent water-rock reaction, resulting in the development of hydrothermal mineral assemblages that intricately filled fractures. It increased formation temperature and enhanced thermal maturity and graphitization of organic matter at the Wufeng-Longmaxi low-resistivity shale, resulting in a wide distribution of low-resistivity shale at the Changning Block. Airborne VHR SAR image registration is a challenging task. The number of CPs is a key factor for complex CP-based image registration. This paper presents a two-step matching approach to obtain more CPs for VHR SAR image registration. In the past decade, SIFT and other modifications have been widely used for remote sensing image registration. By incorporating feature point location affine transformation, a two-step matching scheme, which includes global and local matching, is proposed to allow for the determination of a much larger number of CPs. The proposed approach was validated by 0.5 m resolution C-band airborne SAR data acquired in Sichuan after the 2008 Wenchuan earthquake via a SAR system designed by the IECAS. With the proposed matching scheme, even the original SIFT, which is widely known to be unsuitable for SAR images, can achieve a much larger number of high-quality CPs than the one-step SIFT–OCT, which is tailored for SAR images. Compared with the classic one-step matching approach using both the SIFT and SITF–OCT algorithms, the proposed approach can obtain a larger number of CPs with improved precision. Brittleness is important in the evaluation of the fracturing ability of shale reservoir and has a significant impact on shale gas exploration and development. This paper discusses the characteristics and controlling factors of brittleness of continental shale in the Da'anzhai Member of the Ziliujing Formation of Lower Jurassic age in the northeast Sichuan Basin. Continental shale lithofacies and their associations were grouped into four main rock types: clayey shale, silty shale, shell calcareous clayey shale, and silty clayey shale, characterized by the high clay content and local enrichment of carbonate minerals as a whole. Compared with the marine shale, the continental shale contained a low content of siliceous minerals, a high content of carbonate minerals, and a large number of shell limestone interlayers. Carbonate minerals play an important role in controlling the brittleness of continental shale. The shale interlayers were mainly shell limestone interlayers with a thickness of several centimeters and a large number of shell laminates with thicknesses of several millimeters were also observed. The shell laminates were mainly filled with calcite. Due to the dissolution process, a large number of bedding joints and corrosion joints were formed in the calcite shell layers. In the interlayers with a high shell content, a large number of microfractures developed. The Lala copper area in Huili County, Sichuan Province, China, is favored by superior regional metallogenic geological conditions due to its location in an extremely important copper–iron metallogenic belt in southwest China, and it has witnessed the formation of a series of unique iron–copper deposits following the superposition of multiple tectonic events. In recent years, major mineral exploration breakthroughs have been achieved in the deep and peripheral zones of this area. Using the Lala copper mining area in Sichuan as an example, this paper describes metallogenic prediction research carried out based on multivariate geoscience information (geological information, geophysics, geochemistry, and remote sensing data) and the application of geographic information system (GIS) technology and the radial basis function neural network (RBFLN) model. The five specific aspects covered in this paper are as follows: (1) we collected geology–geophysics–geochemistry remote sensing data and other information, adopted GIS technology to extract multivariate geoscience ore-forming anomaly information, and established a geoscience prospecting information database; (2) we applied the RBFLN algorithm for information on integrated analysis of ore-forming anomalies in the study area; (3) we applied a statistical method to divide the threshold value to delineate favorable ore-prospecting target areas; (4) we applied three-dimensional (3D) visualization technology, through which sample assistance was verified, to evaluate the performance of the RBFLN model; and (5) the results revealed that the RBFLN model can integrate multivariate and multi-type geoscience information and effectively predict metallogenic prospective areas and delineate favorable target areas. The metallogenic prediction method based on RBFLN technology provides a scientific basis for the exploration and deployment of minerals in the study area. Pore characteristics are one of the most important elements in the study of shale reservoir properties and are a key parameter for the evaluation of the potential of shale oil and gas resources. Low-temperature nitrogen adsorption is a common laboratory method that is used to characterize the pore structure of shale. However, the effect of shale's particle size on the experimental results of the nitrogen adsorption of deep shale samples is still unclear. In this paper, using deep shale samples of different mesh sizes from the Luzhou Block as an example, we studied the effect of particle size on the pore structure of deep shale, as characterized by nitrogen adsorption experiments. The results showed that the pore volume of deep shale is mainly distributed in the mesoporous range, with a pore size ranging from 2 to 20 nm. The pore volume, as measured by nitrogen adsorption, increases slowly as the particle size decreases and then it increases rapidly. The particle size of shale has no obvious effect on the measurement of the specific surface area. The fractal dimension of deep shale gradually increases as the particle size of the shale samples increases and the smaller the particle size, the higher the correlation coefficient, R2, of the fractal dimension fitting. In this paper, different recommended sizes are given for selecting suitable particle sizes in nitrogen adsorption experiments on deep shale with different structural parameters, which will increase the accuracy of the study of the pore structure of deep shale. Based on the Morrison Two-Moment Scheme coupled with the non-inductive electrification mechanism and the discharge parameterization scheme in the Weather Research and Forecasting (WRF) model, a thunderstorm process was simulated by using the WRF electrical coupling model in Sichuan Basin on 21 July 2019, in this paper. Through analysis and discussion of the macroscopic and microscopic characteristics of the thunderstorm activity and the microphysical and dynamic processes, respectively, the study shows that the simulation results of radar echo and lightning are well consistent with the meteorological observation which indicates the WRF model has a certain ability to reproduce the thunderstorm process in Sichuan Basin, there is a good correspondence between the main electrification area and the distribution position of the ice-phase particles in the thunderstorm. The simulated charge structure of the thunderstorm is that the graupel particles are mainly negatively charged, the ice crystals and snow particles are mainly positively charged, and the thunderstorm shows a dipole charge structure with an upper positive charge center and a lower negative charge center. It also shows that the updrafts greatly influence ice-graupel and snow-graupel collisions during the thunderstorm discharge process, the higher the updraft speed, the stronger the electrical activity, and, especially, the stronger the discharge process of ice-particle collisions and separation. Tight marl is a special type of unconventional oil and gas resource, and the study on its reservoir characteristics and controlling factors is of immense scientific significance. In this paper, 113 core samples of marl from Gouxi Area, Eastern Sichuan were selected. Based on organic carbon, pyrolysis, X-ray diffraction of whole rock, and X-ray diffraction of clay analysis, the reservoir evaluation of eyelid-shaped limestone in the first member of Maokou Formation was carried out. The results show that there are obvious differences between eyelid-shaped limestone reservoirs and eyeball-shaped limestone reservoirs in the target stratum. Eyelid-shaped limestone is mainly distributed in the lower members a and c of the first member of Maokou Formation. It could be the main reservoir of low porosity and permeability tight marl, as its developed apertures, micro-fractures, and pore throat structure are obviously better than that of the eyeball-shaped limestone. As eyelid-shaped limestone features obvious self-generation and self-storage characteristics, the deep-water and low-energy sedimentary environment provides it with a large amount of highly brittle minerals and clay minerals as well as a favorable reservoir-forming background for diagenetic evolution and organic matter adsorption of clay minerals in the later period. The transformation of sepiolite into talc through diagenesis provides a large number of shrinkage joints for the reservoir, which are an effective space for tight gas accumulation. This study aimed to empirically explore the relationship between destination attractiveness and tourists' environmentally responsible behavior (TERB), as based on self-regulated attitude theory. In this paper, we have divided destination attractiveness into two aspects: the attractiveness of a facility's services, and that of the sightseeing experience, so as to build a structural equation model with mediation analysis. For our research, we selected Wolong National Nature Reserve in Sichuan as the site of our case study, and we conducted a survey using a questionnaire. We then analyzed the path using a structural equation model. Our results show: (1) two elements of destination attractiveness have significantly positive effects on TERB; and (2) place attachment exerts a mediating effect among the attractiveness of the facility's services, that of the sightseeing experience, and TERB. In recent years, new energy power generation has been widely used. As household energy storage will be widely promoted in the future, many households' energy storage will soon need to be replaced. It is of great significance to study the recycling of household energy storage to reduce environmental pollution and promote the sustainable development of the household energy storage market. However, the lack of research on the design of household energy storage and recovery network from the perspective of manufacturing enterprises hinders the sustainable development of household energy storage. Based on the above, a household energy storage recycling model considering carbon emissions was established in this paper. This model evaluated the recovery status of household energy storage online through a big data platform and proposed three different recovery schemes based on the evaluation results. Through a case study of Sichuan and Chongqing, the overall profit of the household energy storage and recycling system could be increased by about CNY 1.61 million, while reducing about 1.04 hundred tons of carbon emissions, thus verifying the feasibility and effectiveness of the model. In addition, the results of scenario analysis showed that the processing cost and demand are the main factors affecting the optimal design of the recycling network, and they can change the configuration of the network. Appropriate processing methods, locations, and transportation schemes would decrease the cost of production and carbon emissions. Household energy storage is possible for recycling residual values that decrease carbon emissions during storage. The Silurian Longmaxi (S1l) marine shale and Jurassic Dongyuemiao (J1d) lacustrine shale in the Sichuan Basin, West China have attracted considerable attention from the oil-and-gas industry in China. Currently, the differences in pore types and pore structures between them are poorly understood, which has limited shale-resource exploration in the Sichuan Basin. This paper systemically compares the pore characteristics of Longmaxi shale and Dongyuemiao shale and investigates their impact on shale-gas enrichment by integrating field-emission scanning electron microscopy (FE–SEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD), low-pressure gas (CO2 and N2) adsorption and mercury-intrusion porosimetry, high-pressure sorption isotherms, gas-saturation measurement, molecular-dynamics simulation, etc. The results show that the S1l organic-rich marine shale and the J1d lacustrine shale have different pore types and pore structures. The S1l shale is dominated by organic pores, mainly micropores and mesopores with ink-bottle-like pore shapes, while the J1d shale is primarily composed of clay-mineral pores, mainly mesopores and macropores with slit- or plate-like pore shapes. Organic pores can provide considerable storage space for shale-gas enrichment in S1l marine shale, which also determines the adsorption capacity of shale reservoirs. Although organic pores are not the most prevalent in the Dongyuemiao lacustrine shale, they also play an important role in enhancing reservoir quality and absorbed-gas enrichment. Clay-mineral pores contribute weakly to the storage space of J1d-lacustrine-shale reservoirs. Mesopores are the most important form of storage space in both S1l shale and J1d shale, contributing significantly to shale-gas enrichment. The study of extraordinarily high organic matter content (EHOMC) is beneficial to promote the fine evaluation of shale oil and gas, but so far, there have been few studies on its mechanism. This paper carried out a comprehensive lithological and geochemical analysis of the black shales of the Wujiaping Formation in the Kaijiang-Liangping Trough. The results showed that the black shales of the Wujiaping Formation can be divided into two units (the upper and lower parts), and EHOMC occurs in its upper part. The redox-sensitive trace elements (RSTEs), MoEF-UEF covariation, and Ni/Co correlation showed that the lower part of Wujiaping Formation was a weakly restricted oxidation environment, while the upper part evolved into a sulfidation reducing environment. The productivity indicator elements (BaXS, NiXS, CuXS, P, and Mo) indicated that the upper Wujiaping Formation had higher primary productivity than the lower part. However, rare earth elements ((La/Yb)N) indicated that the deposition rate in the lower part of the Wujiaping Formation was higher than that in the upper part. In general, although the oxygenated water in the lower part of the Wujiaping Formation is not conducive to the preservation of organic matter, the high input of nutrients from land sources and the high deposition rate inhibit the decomposition of organic matter, so the lower part has a certain degree of organic matter accumulation. The sulfidation reducing environment and high paleoproductivity are the main reasons for the enrichment of organic matter in the upper part of the Wujiaping Formation. In addition, the sulfidation reducing environment and high paleoproductivity occurred during the violent upwelling at the end of Guadeloupe, a period of high sea level, these factors have jointly contributed to the enrichment of OM in the upper the Wujiaping Formation. Sichuan is gradually being transformed and is utilizing groundwater and thermal resources. However, this investigation found that the high mineralization rate of geothermal resources in the Sichuan Basin is common and efficient, and environmentally friendly descaling technology is the key to promoting the utilization of thermal resources in low-yield oil and gas wells. Due to the high efficiency, low cost, and lack of pollution of high-pressure jet descaling, it has attracted more and more attention recently, but the mechanism of jet descaling is still unclear. The key to jet descaling is the stress concentration in the scale caused by the impact of droplets from the jet. In this paper, the process of jet descaling is simplified as a 2D droplet–scale collision with a detailed theoretical analysis of the stress on the scale. A circular droplet was simulated to impact the surface of the scale. By using numerical methods for transient calculations, we couple the pressure of the droplets and the scale strain. We acquired transient equivalent stress fields inside scales and pressure distributions inside the water droplet. As a result of the impact, areas of high stress in the scale appeared. Due to the stress superposition, the highest stress is concentrated in two areas: the contact edge and the shaft. The Sichuan Basin is a significant region for exploration and development of shale gas in China, and it is essential to clarify the impact of deep shale gas reservoir parameters on cost-effective development at scale to ensure national energy security. Rock physics modeling is a significant means of communicating the physical and elastic parameters of rocks. A rock physics modeling method applicable to fractured shale gas reservoirs is proposed for the current situation of complex fluid relationships in shale gas reservoirs and unclear characteristics of gas identification seismic response. In this paper, based on the Self Consistent Approximation (SCA) model and the differential effective medium (DEM) model, the anisotropic source of shale is used as a starting point to add bound water, kerogen, clay, and brittle minerals, the Schoenberg linear slip theory is used to add fracture disturbance effects, and then the Brown–Korringa model is used to perform fluid replacement under anisotropic conditions. Finally a rock physics model applicable to fractured shale gas reservoirs is obtained, and the established rock physics model is used for analysis of elastic parameters, Thomsen parameters, and fracture weakness parameters. Rock physics tests were performed on shale in southern Sichuan as an example. The experimental results show that the model established by the process can accurately invert the longitudinal and transverse wave velocities of the shale, which can provide a conceptual basis for the study of fractured shale gas reservoirs. Simple Summary: In this study, we describe the well-preserved fossil seed cones of Nothotsuga found in the Mula Basin, Litang County, Sichuan Province, southwestern China. By detailed morphological comparisons, a new fossil species, Nothotsuga mulaensis Z. Li et J. L. Dong sp. nov. is named. This discovery suggests that Nothotsuga had a more northern distribution during the Miocene. In addition, it suggests that the Mula region had a humid and warm climate during this period. The ancient landform presents an intermountain lake basin, which would have been surrounded by higher mountains. After the Miocene, due to the uplift of the Tibetan Plateau, Nothotsuga was either unable to adapt to the extinction of the local environmental or was able to migrate to several scattered places in southern China. In this paper, we describe a new fossil species, Nothotsuga mulaensis Z. Li & J.L. Dong sp. nov. The discovery of the fossil species was based on well-preserved fossil seed cones that were found in the Mula Basin in Xiamula village, Litang County, Sichuan Province, southwestern China. The shapes of these fossils were characterized by ovate seed cones, rhombic or suborbicular scales with auriculate bases, and the bracts were ligulate-spathulate in shape. This finding suggests that Nothotsuga once had a wide distribution range in China and that it also inhabited the eastern Tibetan Plateau (TP). Nothotsuga mulaensis was distributed in an intermountain lake basin, at altitudes from 2000 to 2300 m, in a warm and humid environment. This finding also suggests that the eastern TP may have provided good habitat for Nothotsuga during the Miocene. In addition, we propose that the uplift, accompanied by the severe cooling and aridification that occurred after the Miocene, caused the disappearance of this species of Nothotsuga in the eastern TP. Due to global warming and other climate changes, it is increasingly important to study the response of regional environmental changes and dynamic changes in vegetation to climate change. Based on meteorological data from the last 60 years, this paper calculates the humidity index of western China under a wide range of long time series in different regions and explores the cross-correlation effect between series by offering a comparison with NDVI data, to analyze the cross-correlation between wet and dry changes and changes in vegetation in western China on a spatial scale. The results show that the spatial distribution of the interdecadal humidity index is different between different regions in western China. For example, the semi-arid and the semi-humid zones of the Weihe River region exhibit significant changes, while the Xinjiang and Qinghai–Tibet regions show a trend of constant wetness, on the whole, and the Sichuan and Yunnan–Guizhou regions are relatively humid and the distribution of wetness and dryness is relatively stable. The distribution of high and low values of the humidity index is very obvious and consistent with that of the distribution of desert bare land and precipitation in western China. In common with the distribution in the humidity index, the maximum correlation number between the NDVI and the humidity index in the whole western region is also significantly different in spatial distribution. There is a positive correlation between the NDVI and the humidity index in 99% of the study area. However, the delay in response time of the NDVI to changes in the humidity index in each region is inconsistent. For example, changes in the NDVI lag changes in the humidity index in the Menggan region by generally either 2 months or 5 months, while in the Sichuan region the delay in response time is generally 3 months. The variation and trend in dry and wet areas are closely related to the geographical location, climate zone, and topographic terrain, which may be the reason for the differences in the distribution of vegetation types and the response time to dry and wet changes. There is significant interaction between the humidity index and the vegetation type or precipitation distribution in western China. The positive correlation between the NDVI and the humidity index means that the positive effect is more sensitive, and the response of grassland is the most sensitive in the ecosystem. To explore the causes of pollution formation and changes in the complex topography of the Sichuan Basin, China, and improve the comprehensive simulation capability of pollution models, we use two online coupling models, WRF/Chem and WRF/CUACE, to simulate two heavy pollution episode that successively occurred in the southern part of Sichuan Province from 15 December 2016 to 11 January 2017 in this paper. Additionally, two sets of meteorological physics parameterization schemes MET1 and MET2 are designed, and four groups of experiments are carried out. The results suggest that the two models are good at simulating the static weather parameters such as temperature, low speed of winds and boundary layer height. The four groups of tests can accurately simulate the beginning, maintenance and turning point of the two pollution episodes' life cycles. CUACE shows better performance in terms of higher correlation coefficients and lower errors in most of the particles and particulate components evaluations. It also performs better in the competitive mechanism of sulfate and nitrate against ammonium in the thermodynamic equilibrium mechanism. In addition, the evaluation of PM2.5 and the component simulation show that CUACE is more capable of simulating the mechanisms of heavy pollutions in southern Sichuan. Meanwhile, MET2 scheme is more appropriate for the simulation than MET1 dose. Based on the simulated concentrations of components and their precursors, the models overestimate the conversion of NO2 to nitrate but underestimate the conversion of SO2 to sulfate, which is the essential cause of the general overestimation of nitrate. Electrical exploration has become an important means of shale gas reservoir exploration and evaluation, and is expected to play a key role in the later stages of reservoir fracturing and development. At present, the research on the electrical response characteristics of shale gas reservoirs and their relationship with reservoir parameters is extensive and in-depth, but there is little research on their complex resistivity anisotropy characteristics and influencing factors, which restricts petrophysical modeling and reservoir parameter prediction, and reduces the reliability of shale gas exploration and reservoir evaluation by electromagnetic methods. In this paper, shale samples from the Longmaxi Formation and the Wufeng Formation of shale gas wells in southern Sichuan were collected, the complex resistivity of 34 shales in bedding direction and vertical bedding direction were measured, and the induced polarization (IP) parameters of shales were extracted by inversion. The electrical anisotropy response characteristics under different temperature and pressure conditions were analyzed, and the influencing factors and laws of complex resistivity anisotropy of shales were revealed. Combined with the test results of shale porosity and permeability, the evaluation model of resistivity, polarizability and porosity and permeability parameters was established. The research results have formed a set of testing methods and analysis techniques for electrical anisotropy of shale reservoirs, which are mainly based on complex resistivity parameter testing. It is helpful to understand the electrical anisotropy characteristics of shale gas reservoirs in southern Sichuan; this will provide the theoretical and physical basis for shale gas reservoir evaluation and fracturing monitoring by electrical exploration. The petrology, mineralogy, elemental geochemistry, biology and PGEs characteristics of the black shale of the Wufeng and Longmaxi Formations in the CN outcrop of the Sichuan Basin are studied in this paper. The distribution and change in PGEs at different horizons are summarized, and the reasons for PGEs enrichment are discussed. The results show that the PGEs in the organic-rich shale segment are obviously enriched, which is positively correlated with the Total Organic Carbon (TOC) content and has a Pt–Pd distribution characteristic. δEuN, Pd/Pt, (Pt + Pd)/(Os + Ru + Ir), etc., and SiO2–Al2O3 and It/Pt–Pd/Pt discrimination diagrams, indicate that they are not extraterrestrial sources, nor are they the origins of normal seawater deposition but they are related to hydrothermal deposition. The enrichment process of PGEs is relatively complicated and is controlled by the impact of the sedimentary environment in the restricted basin. The anoxic water environment and organic-rich environment are the main factors of PGEs enrichment. Ground-based synthetic aperture radar interferometry (GB-InSAR) has the characteristics of high precision, high temporal resolution, and high spatial resolution, and is widely used in highwall deformation monitoring. The traditional GB-InSAR real-time processing method is to process the whole data set or group in time sequence. This type of method takes up a lot of computer memory, has low efficiency, cannot meet the timeliness of slope monitoring, and cannot perform deformation prediction and disaster warning forecasting. In response to this problem, this paper proposes a GB-InSAR time series processing method based on the LSTM (long short-term memory) model. First, according to the early monitoring data of GBSAR equipment, the time series InSAR method (PS-InSAR, SBAS, etc.) is used to obtain the initial deformation information. According to the deformation calculated in the previous stage and the atmospheric environmental parameters monitored, the LSTM model is used to predict the deformation and atmospheric delay at the next time. The phase is removed from the interference phase, and finally the residual phase is unwrapped using the spatial domain unwrapping algorithm to solve the residual deformation. The predicted deformation and the residual deformation are added to obtain the deformation amount at the current moment. This method only needs to process the difference map at the current moment, which greatly saves time series processing time and can realize the prediction of deformation variables. Shale gas reservoirs are unconventional resources with great potential to help meet energy demands. Horizontal drilling and hydraulic fracturing have been extensively used for the exploitation of these unconventional resources. According to engineering practice, some shale gas wells with low flowback rate of fracturing fluids may obtain high yield which is different from the case of conventional sandstone reservoirs, and fracturing fluid absorbed into formation by spontaneous imbibition is an important mechanism of gas production. This paper integrates NMR into imbibition experiment to examine the effects of fractures, fluid salinity, and surfactant concentration on imbibition recovery and performance of shale core samples with different pore-throat sizes acquired from the Longmaxi Formation in Luzhou area, the Sichuan Basin. The research shows that the right peak of T2 spectrum increases rapidly during the process of shale imbibition, the left peak increases rapidly at the initial stage and changes gently at the later stage, with the peak of the left peak shifting to the right. The result indicates that water first enters the fracture system quickly, then enters the small pores near the fracture wall due to the effect of the capillary force, and later gradually sucks into the deep and large pores. Both imbibition rate and capacity increase with increased fracture density, decreased solution salinity, and decreased surfactant concentration. After imbibition flowback, shale permeability generally increases by 8.70–17.88 times with the average of 13.83 times. There are also many microcracks occurring on the end face and surface of the core sample after water absorption, which may function as new flowing channels to further improve reservoir properties. SAR tomography (TomoSAR) extends SAR interferometry (InSAR) to image a complex 3D scene with multiple scatterers within the same SAR cell. The phase calibration method and the super-resolution reconstruction method play a crucial role in 3D TomoSAR imaging from multi-baseline SAR stacks, and they both influence the accuracy of the 3D SAR tomographic imaging results. This paper presents a systematic processing method for 3D SAR tomography imaging. Moreover, with the newly released TanDEM-X 12 m DEM, this study proposes a new phase calibration method based on SAR InSAR and DEM error estimation with the super-resolution reconstruction compressive sensing (CS) method for 3D TomoSAR imaging using COSMO-SkyMed Spaceborne SAR data. The test, fieldwork, and results validation were executed at Zipingpu Dam, Dujiangyan, Sichuan, China. After processing, the 1 m resolution TomoSAR elevation extraction results were obtained. Against the terrestrial Lidar 'truth' data, the elevation results were shown to have an accuracy of 0.25 ± 1.04 m and a RMSE of 1.07 m in the dam area. The results and their subsequent validation demonstrate that the X band data using the CS method are not suitable for forest structure reconstruction, but are fit for purpose for the elevation extraction of manufactured facilities including buildings in the urban area. Vegetation net primary productivity (VNPP) is the main factor in ecosystem carbon sink function and regulation of environmental processes. However, NPP data products have data missing in some areas, which affects the availability and overall accuracy level of data. Therefore, we adopted the Factor Analysis Backpropagation neural network model (FA-BP model) to acquire a high-accuracy and high-reliability NPP result without missing or empty areas by using a series of easily accessible datasets, such as meteorological data and remote sensing data. We selected the western Sichuan region as the study area and carried out a VNPP time series estimation from 2000 to 2016. Comparative simulations also verify the accuracy of the time series estimation results: The Pearson correlation r of VNPP prediction results ranged from 0.807 to 0.917, the mean absolute error ranged from 29.1 to 38.9, the root mean square error was between 37.3 and 51.8, and the mean relative error varies from 0.10 to 0.14. Further analysis shows that the spatial pattern of estimated VNPP during the past 17 years in western Sichuan shows a decreasing trend from southeast to northwest. Besides, the VNPP time series is generally on an upward trend in this period. The increasing and decreasing areas of VNPP values in the study area accounted for 81.42% and 18.58%, respectively. Moreover, we find that temperature dominates the change of VNPP in the whole western Sichuan region. The data processing method and experimental results presented in this paper can provide a reference for accurately acquiring VNPP and related studies on natural resources and climate change.
