Abstract With rapid growth of digital publishing, a great deal of document datum has been published online for a widely spread of knowledge innovations, which is an important resource for human survival and social development. However, it is a time-consuming and difficult task to conduct a high-efficiency access of valuable papers from an extremely large document database. A set of ranking techniques have been proposed to evaluate the influence of articles by counting the number and quality of citations, such as PageRank. In fact, the influence of an article does not merely depend on the account of citations, which is also highly related to the citation network. In this paper, we propose a visual analytics system for visual ranking of academic influence of articles, based on an insightful analysis of citation network. Firstly, a characterization of articles is established through word2vec model, based on an analogy between the articles in citation network and natural language processing (NPL) terms. Then, the difference between articles in the vectorized space is employed to optimize the PageRank model and achieve desired influence ranking results. A set of meaningful visual encodings are also designed to present the relationships among articles, such as the visualization of high-dimensional vectors and time-varying citation networks. At last, a visualization framework is implemented for visual ranking of academic influence of articles, with the ranking models and visual designs integrated. Case studies based on real-world datasets and interviews with domain experts have demonstrated the effectiveness of our system in the evaluation of academic influence of articles. 3D reconstruction of seedling can provide comprehensive and quantitative spatial structure information, offering an effective digital tool for breeding research. However, accurate and efficient reconstruction of seedling is still a challenging work due to limited performance of depth sensor for seedling with small-size stem and unavoidable error for multi-view point cloud registration. Therefore, in this paper, we propose an accurate multi-view 3D reconstruction method for seedling using 2D image contour to constrain 3D point cloud. The rotation axis is calibrated and optimised by minimising point-to-contour distance between 2D image contour and projected exterior points from 3D point cloud. Then, to remove outliers and noise, we introduce the seedling mask of 2D image to constrained and delete projected outlier points of 3D model from corresponding view. Furthermore, we propose a residual-guided method to recognise missing region for 3D model and complete 3D model of small-size stem. Finally, we can obtain an accurate 3D model of seedling. The reconstruction accuracy is evaluated by average distance between projected contour of 3D model and 2D image contour of all views (0.3185 mm). Then, the phenotypic parameters were calculated from 3D model and the results are close to manual measurements (Plant height: R2 = 0.98, RMSE = 2.3 mm, rRMSE = 1.52%; Petioles inclination angle: R2 = 0.99, RMSE = 0.73°, rRMSE = 1.41%; Leaf area: R2 = 0.66, RMSE = 1.05 cm2, rRMSE = 7.63%; Leaf inclination angle: R2 = 0.99, RMSE = 1.01°, rRMSE = 1.72%; Stem diameter: R2 = 0.95, RMSE = 0.12 mm, rRMSE = 5.43%). Effective engagement is crucial for enhancing environmental decision-making processes, fostering more sustainable and equitable outcomes. However, the success of engagement is highly variable and context-dependent. While theoretical frameworks have been developed to explain outcome variance in engagement in environmental decision-making, they have not yet been tested in digital contexts, leaving their applicability to digital engagement processes unclear. More broadly, there are unanswered questions about the effectiveness of digital tools in achieving the goals of engagement, which have become increasingly pertinent amidst growing concerns about the potential of digital technologies for exacerbating exclusions, ethical issues, and systematically undermining democratic progress. This paper addresses this evidence gap by presenting findings from interviews with practitioners in UK public, private, and third sector organisations. Our results provide empirical insights into the technical, ethical, and inclusivity debates surrounding digital tools and their effectiveness in promoting accessible engagement, high-quality social interaction, place-based decision-making, and more trustworthy and credible outcomes. Our findings indicate that while current engagement theories are applicable to digital environments, the key explanatory factors acquire new dimensions in digital compared to in-person contexts. Drawing on the findings, this study contributes novel insights to expand current theory for explaining "what works" in engagement in environmental decisions, enhancing its relevance and applicability in the digital age. This study delves into the strategies employed by small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to embed digital technology into their business models, aiming to reach carbon neutrality. We offer a comprehensive analysis of five high technology SMEs, unveiling an evolutionary process model that highlights their journey toward integrating technology. The integration process is delineated into three progressive stages. Initially, digital technology is seen as an 'enabler' that promotes the birth of an innovative business model, essentially transforming the mechanisms of value creation, delivery, and capture. As SMEs evolve to an intermediate stage, digital technology becomes a 'disruptor', reshaping and reinventing the business model in terms of how value is created, delivered, and captured. Entering the maturity stage, digital technology is elevated to the role of 'expertise', leading to a sophisticated business model that refines and optimizes these aspects of value. Green innovation is important and beneficial for the green development of enterprises. The development of digital technology could improve the asymmetry of information and affect the enterprise's financing modes. Currently, a definitive conclusion about the relationship between the digital transformation and green technology innovation has not reached. Additionally, studies have not yet fully explored the impact pathways of corporate digital transformation on green innovation through corporate financing modes. To fill this void, this study collected data of Chinese A-share listed companies from 2010 to 2020. The empirical analysis results showed that digital transformation significantly enhanced enterprises' green innovation abilities. Furthermore, mediating models were utilized to explore how enterprise financing modes mediate the impact of digital transformation on the enterprise green innovation. Results indicated that through internal financing and bank loans as "bridges", digital transformation promoted enterprise green innovation. However, digital transformation did not have a significant impact on enterprise green innovation through venture capital. Moreover, heterogeneity analyses revealed significant differences among different groups of enterprises. This study expands the research field related to digital transformation and enterprise green innovation by providing empirical evidence to uncover the impact of digital transformation on enterprise green innovation. With the rapid development of digital currency such as Bitcoin, the digital currency transaction system with blockchain as the key underlying technology is booming, but the traditional transaction system has the risk of revealing sensitive information such as transaction content and identity. In order to enhance the security, many transactions system with privacy preserving have been proposed, such as Zerocoin, Monero, etc. As there are a decentralized credit entity and strong anonymity in these transaction systems, the authorities can effectively audit and control the participants and transactions in the digital currency system, thus making digital currency a tool for illegal transactions. Recognizing the importance of privacy preserving and regulatory, in this paper, we propose a new regulatory anonymous transaction system based on blockchain—RATS, which can not only protect the privacy of transactions on the blockchain, but also regulate illegal transactions. Firstly, we introduce regulators into the system, and at the same time, we propose a regulatory mechanism that the regulator is allowed to trace the identity of the user without affecting the transaction operation of the system when suspicious transactions are found. In particularly, during the normal transaction, we protect the privacy of users' transaction contents and addresses without affecting the anonymity of the original system. Digital transformation has become an inevitable trend in industrial development, but research on its environmental benefits has not been conducted in-depth. This paper focuses on the impact and mechanisms of the digital transformation of the transportation industry on its carbon intensity. Empirical tests are conducted based on the panel data of 43 economies from 2000 to 2014. The results show that the digital transformation of the transportation industry reduces its carbon intensity, but only the digital transformation that relies on domestic digital sources is significant. Second, technological progress, upgrading the industry's internal structure and improving energy consumption are the main channels through which the digital transformation of the transportation industry reduces its carbon intensity. Third, in terms of subdividing industries, the digital transformation of basic transportation has a more significant effect on reducing carbon intensity. For segmentation digitization, the carbon intensity reduction from digital infrastructure is more significant. The integration of digital technology and industrial technology emerges as a pivotal avenue for enterprises to attain Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), promoting the transition towards a sustainable and green trajectory of development. The panel data utilized in this paper encompasses financial, operational, and carbon emission metrics of publicly listed companies in China from 2008 to 2019. This longitudinal dataset enables us to perform robust statistical analyses to evaluate the impacts of Digital-Industrial technology integration on carbon emission intensity over time. The results indicate that: (i) Digital-Industrial technology integration significantly reduces the carbon emission intensity of enterprises, the conclusion remains robust when subjected to endogeneity and sensitivity analyses. (ii) Digital-Industrial technology integration mainly reduces the marginal cost of production and enhances the accumulation of knowledge to reduce the carbon emission intensity of enterprises. (iii) Digital-Industrial Technology Integration manifests more pronounced effects in curbing carbon emissions in regions characterized by robust property rights protection and well-developed digital infrastructure. (iv) Further research finds that Digital-Industrial technology integration increases the green technology innovation and ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) performance of enterprises. Digitalization, as a crucial engine for promoting sustainable development, has created new prospects for enterprise green transformation. Utilizing panel data from enterprises registered in China's resource-based cities from 2010 to 2021, this study innovatively examines the role of digitalization in promoting green transformation across two key performance dimensions. The findings indicate that enterprise digitalization significantly enhances the green innovation performance, while its impact on environmental performance, although positive, is not statistically significant. Overall, enterprise digitalization greatly facilitates green transformation. Moreover, mechanism analysis reveals that enterprise digitalization promotes green transformation through the alleviation of financial mismatch and the increase of external market attention. In addition, heterogeneity analysis shows that the effectiveness of enterprise digitalization in promoting green transformation is significantly different in different opportunist risk scenarios, proving more effective in areas with low-marketization, high-competition industries, and high environmental regulation intensity. In terms of the policy level, the National Big Data Comprehensive Pilot Zone (NBDCPZ) and the Carbon Emission Trading Policy (CETP) played a positive stimulating role in the process of enterprise digitalization affecting green transformation. The global installed capacity of floating offshore wind turbines is projected to increase by at least 100 times over the next decades. Station-keeping of floating offshore renewable energy devices is achieved through the use of mooring systems. Mooring systems are exposed to a variety of environmental and operational conditions that cause corrosion, abrasion, and fatigue. Regular physical in-service inspections of mooring systems are the golden standard for monitoring their health status. This approach is often expensive, inefficient, and unsafe, and for this reason, researchers are focusing on developing tools for digital solutions for real-time monitoring. Floating offshore renewable energy devices are usually equipped with a wide range of sensors, some low-cost, low/zero maintenance, and easily deployable (e.g. , accelerometers on the tower), contrary to others (e.g. , direct tension mooring line measurements), producing real-time data streams. In this paper, we propose exploiting the data coming from the first type of sensors for mooring systems health status nowcasting. In particular, we will first rely on state-of-the-art supervised shallow and deep learning models for predicting the health status of the different sections of the mooring lines. Then, since these supervised models require types and amount of data that are seldom available, we will propose new shallow and deep weekly supervised models that require a very small amount of data regarding worn mooring lines. Results will show that these last models can potentially have practical applicability and impact for real-time monitoring of mooring systems in the near future. In order to support our statements, we will make use of data generated with a state-of-the-art digital twin of the mooring system, OrcaFlex 1 1 www.orcina.com. , for a floating offshore wind turbine reproducing the physical mechanism of the mooring degradation under different loads and environmental conditions. Accessing visual information becomes a central need for all kinds of tasks and users (from accessing graphics and charts in news articles, to viewing images of items on sale on e-commerce sites), especially for blind users. In this context, digital tools of assistance, using adapted software (screen readers, talking browsers, etc.), hardware (force feedback mouse, piezo-electric pins, etc.), and more recently touch-screen technology (using smart phones or smart tablets) have been increasingly helping blind persons access and manipulate information. While effective with textual information, yet existing solutions remain limited when handling visual information. In this context, the goal of our study is to shed light on how the vibration modality can be perceived by blind users when accessing simple contour-based images and visual graphics on a touch-screen. In this paper, we target the vibration-only modality, compared with audio-kinesthetic or multimodal vibro-audio solutions. Our main motivation is that the potentials and limitations of touch-screen vibration-only feedback need to be fully studied and understood prior to integrating other modalities (such as sound, human speech, or other forms of haptic feedback). This could prove very useful in a range of applications: allowing blind people to access geographic maps, to navigate autonomously inside and outside buildings, as well as to access graphs and mathematical charts (for blind students). To achieve our goal, we develop a dedicated experimental protocol, titled EVIAC, testing a blind user's capacity in learning, distinguishing, identifying, and recognizing basic shapes and geometric objects presented on a vibrating touch-screen. Extensive tests were conducted on blindfolded and blind candidates, using a battery of evaluation metrics including: i) accuracy of shape recognition, ii) testers’ average response time, iii) number and duration of finger strokes, iv) surface area covered by the testers’ finger path trails, as well as iv) finger path correlation with the surface of the target shape. Results show that blind users are generally capable of accessing simple shapes and graphics presented on a vibrating touch-screen. However, results also underline various issues, ranging over: prolonged response time (e.g., blind users require 1 min and 22 s on average to recognize a basic shape), reduced touch-screen surface coverage, and low correlation between the surface of the target shape and the tester's vibration trails. This paper addresses a number of challenges HCI designers and researchers deal with when designing digital technologies for older people. We conducted a 5-year research-through-design study, which combined ethnography, participatory design and real-life evaluation, to explore the design and use of technologies aimed to enhance the social life of older people. The paper explores widespread assumptions about the social category of older people and the meaning of technologies for them. This paper argues that assuming that (i) older people have unique needs and interests that set them apart from other user groups and (ii) the meaning of technologies remains unaltered on completion of co-design activities are both problematic, because they do not consider carefully enough the sociocultural contexts in which older people interact and engage in their daily lives. The paper posits that the meaning of technologies for older people and their own identities as individuals of a certain age are shaped within situated communities. Thus, technologies designed ‘for older people’ should be designed to meet situated and dynamic needs/interests of the communities (and not only of care) to which they belong. We draw upon our findings and other situated epistemological discourses in HCI to introduce a different perspective, a turn to community, in the design of technologies for an ever-increasing ageing population. In this paper we discuss the concept of deictic sign as a component of the conceptual framework of Linguistics and Semiotics that can be added to Semiotic Inspection Method (SIM) in case the method is adapted to better approach digital games. Deictic signs should be here understood as signs that stablish an indexical relation with the objects they refer to, thus placing them in terms of space, time and person with a reference to the moment of communication though the interface. This paper analyzes such kind of signs in digital games; to do so, it discusses in detail the deictic aspects that SIM could not inspect when it was applied to the interfaces of the games Ingress, Kinectimals and Just Dance Now. Digital technology is an effective way to realize the carbon neutrality target in China. Therefore, based on panel data at the city level in China from 2006 to 2016, we take the e-commerce pilot policy as a quasi-natural experiment, using the staggered difference-in-differences (DID) method to explore the effect of digital technology development on carbon emissions and its transmission mechanism. The conclusion of this paper shows that (ⅰ) the e-commerce pilot policy has significantly reduced carbon emissions. After a series of robustness tests, this empirical conclusion is still valid. (ⅱ) The inhibitory effect of different waves of e-commerce pilot cities on carbon emissions sequentially decreases. The e-commerce pilot policy has a greater effect on reducing carbon emissions in non-old industrial based cities and non-resource-based cities. (ⅲ) Implementing the e-commerce pilot city policy mainly reduces urban carbon emissions by optimizing resource allocation, reducing energy consumption and upgrading the industrial structure. (ⅳ) In addition, implementing the e-commerce pilot city policy has a significant positive carbon-reducing linkage effect with the carbon trading pilot policy and the low-carbon city pilot policy. Research on gender differences in (self-)disclosure has produced mixed results, and, where differences have emerged, they may be an artifact of the measures employed. The present paper explores whether gender – defined as self-identified membership in one's sociocultural group – can indeed account for differences in the desire and propensity to divulge information to others. We additionally identify a possible moderator for such differences. In three studies employing two distinct research approaches – a free recall task for the extreme desire to disclose (Study 1, N = 195) and scaled responses to scenarios that manipulate valence experimentally in an exploratory study (Study 2, N = 547) and a preregistered replication (Study 3, N = 405) – we provide evidence of a robust interaction between gender and information valence. Male participants appear similar to female participants in their desire and likelihood to disclose positive information but are less likely than women to want to share negative information with others, and less likely to ultimately act on that desire. Men are reportedly more motivated than women to disclose as a means of self-enhancement, and self-reports reveal that women perceive their sharing behavior to be relatively normative, while men believe themselves to be more withholding than what is optimal. Information disclosure is increasingly pervasive and permanent in the digital age, and is accompanied by an array of social and psychological consequences. Given their disparate disclosing behaviors, men and women may thus be differentially advantaged by, or susceptible to, the positive and negative consequences of information sharing. • Study participants reported their desire and propensity to disclose across domains. • Self-reports were lower for male than female participants across both measures. • This gender difference was driven exclusively by information valence. • Men were less (equally) eager and likely to share negative (positive) information. Digital technology is increasingly being used to bring citizens and communities together to address local concerns. While a variety of approaches have been developed that allow citizens and communities to improve their local communities, these approaches are often financially unsustainable. In this paper, we describe our exploration of crowdfunding as an alternative approach to funding community-led projects in the context of digital civics. Through our analysis of four community-led crowdfunding projects, we demonstrate that crowdfunding can a) provide an alternative funding mechanism suitable for financing community-led projects, b) create a sense of empowerment and ownership for project leaders, and c) increase community awareness of a project. By reflecting on our experiences, we identify four key challenges to utilising crowdfunding to support community-led projects in the context digital civics, namely 1) the benefits gained versus the time invested, 2) a reliance on existing social networks, 3) the need for glamorous projects and 4) issues of exclusiveness and marginalisation. We also provide advice specific to crowdfunding in the context of digital civics, before discussing the role of crowdfunding within digital civics. In terms of Human–Computer Interaction, healthcare presents paradoxes: on the one hand, there is substantial investment in innovative health technologies, particularly around "big data" analytics and personal health technologies; on the other hand, most interactive health technologies that are currently deployed at scale are difficult to use and few innovative technologies have achieved significant market penetration. We live in a time of change, with a shift from care being delivered by professionals towards people being expected to be actively engaged and involved in shared decision making. Technically, this shift is supported by novel health technologies and information resources; culturally, the pace of change varies across contexts. In this paper, I present a "space" of interactive health technologies, users and uses, and interdependencies between them. Based on a review of the past and present, I highlight opportunities for and challenges to the application of HCI methods in the design and deployment of digital health technologies. These include threats to privacy, patient trust and experience, and opportunities to deliver healthcare and empower people to manage their health and wellbeing in ways that better fit their lives and values. The purpose of this paper is to explore how Internet use affects an individual's environmental sustainability awareness. To this end, we adopt data from the 2021 wave of Chinese General Social Survey, measure the environmental sustainability awareness by 14 categories of items, and employ a treatment effect model to identify the relationship. The results reveal that Internet use is significantly associated with an increase in people's environmental sustainability awareness. Combating climate change and reducing carbon dioxide emissions are serious challenges shared by countries around the world. In the current era, digitalization has a significant impact on CO 2 emissions. However, prior studies have not assessed the synergy between digitalization and industrialization on carbon emission performance. The principal component analysis and non-radial directional distance function (NDDF) are used to measure the digitalization and total factor carbon emission performance of Chinese 245 prefecture-level cities from 2003 to 2019. This study establishes a fixed effects model to study the panel data. The findings are as follows: (1) Digitalization can significantly promote Chinese cities' CO 2 emission reduction. This result still holds after several robustness checks. (2) The heterogeneity results indicate that digitalization mainly improves central cities' carbon emission performance. Meanwhile, the impact of digitalization is more obvious after 2011. (3) Digitalization improves urban carbon emission performance through energy efficiency, industrial transformation, and technological innovation. (4) It is worth noting that digitalization synergizes with industrialization to improve carbon emission performance in Chinese cities. Abstract In the continuous development of Internet technology and geological information technology, problems such as illegal possession, copying, modification and dissemination of unauthorized digital products have occurred in the field of geological information technology. In the field of geological information technology, not only traditional digital products such as text, image, audio and video are produced, but also 3D model digital products unique to geological information technology, which are geological bodies, geological phenomena, geological structures, geological processes and geology. Regular 3D visualization analysis and the foundation and platform for comprehensive decision making of 3D visualization, the 3D model of geological body plays an increasingly important role in the field of geological information technology. Of course, it also faces the problems faced by traditional digital products and copyright protection. In this paper, the advantages and disadvantages of digital watermarking technology in copyright protection and the characteristics of geological body 3D model itself, and the current mature 3D model digital watermarking algorithm are introduced. The research idea of 3D geological body digital watermarking algorithm based on point cloud model is proposed. According to the spatial characteristics of the point cloud model of geological body, the spatial characteristic variables of the point cloud model are obtained by using the spatial characteristic analysis algorithm. The spatial domain information represented by the spatial characteristic variables is transformed into the frequency domain information, and then the frequency domain information is analyzed by means of mathematical statistics to extract the digital watermarking information of the whole geological body point cloud model. The feasibility of the algorithm is analyzed and verified by the experimental analysis. The digital watermark information before and after the attack is extracted by geometric attacks such as affine transformation and shearing. The extracted digital watermark information is correlated with the coefficient analysis and the robustness of the algorithm is obtained. Living with Parkinson's Disease introduces a range of significant challenges into one's daily life. While medical interventions exist to overcome some of these challenges, patient self-care techniques often form an essential complement to the treatments recommended by medical doctors. Knowledge on these self-care techniques often originates from those living with Parkinson's themselves or their close caregivers, as they have the knowledge and experience required to assess self-care techniques. This so-called 'patient knowledge' is usually exchanged in peer meetings or discussion forums. Although vital to the Parkinson's Disease community, this information is often difficult to access due to its unstructured format and the difficulty of navigating through online forums. We present an online tool that allows for contributing, assessing, and finally discovering Parkinson's Disease self-care techniques. The custom discovery tool was populated with self-care knowledge by over 300 people with Parkinson's and dozens of their carers, spanning areas such as daily well-being and using assistive equipment. Then, we invited patients to explore the discover features in a smaller scale trial. While well-received, our deployment highlighted several challenges that we further discuss in this paper. The modified CycleGAN combined with Wasserstein distance is used to map the simulation data in virtual space to the measured data in physical space, which significantly reduces the error between the simulation data and the measured data. The effectiveness of the improved rolling bearing digital twin and the availability of simulation data are verified by experiments. The simulation data are applied to the advanced remaining useful life prediction method, and the high-precision life prediction of rolling bearings is realized. Mobility assistance ICTs have become important companions in daily life as digital affordances have become sophisticated. However, understanding and researching everyday way-finding is still challenging, mainly because of the sheer difficulty of collecting empirical data about concrete occasions of use. Hence, we argue that those methodological challenges make it harder to understand the mobility needs of certain user groups. We aim to address this gap while focusing on elderly people, a user group that has increasingly become a focus of HCI studies, and ask the following questions: (1) What are the everyday way-finding practices of that user group? And (2) how can these be supported by mobility assistance ICTs? For answering them, we developed a methodological framework to study daily mobility as way-finding practices and conducted an interview study with 15 ‘young elderly’ people supplemented with a probing technique. The rise of new technologies has brought new challenges regarding the protection of personal data, as a vast amount of personal information is being published and shared. Because personal data are extremely valuable for many digital businesses, it is crucial to understand to what extent individuals want to exert control over the disclosure of their personal data. This paper aims to assess the factors that affect web users’ predisposition to exert control over personal data flows, using a dataset collected in France in 2014 that targets online users and their privacy. Our results demonstrate that those who are more likely to disclose personal data express a greater propensity to use privacy controls. Additionally, our research results show that online users’ propensity to use privacy controls is likely to be driven by the type of personal information they are willing to share. From simple vibrations to roles in complex multisensory systems, haptic technology is often a critical, expected component of user experience – one face of the rapid progression towards blended physical-digital interfaces. Haptic experience design, which is woven together with other multisensory design efforts, interfaces is now becoming part of many designers' jobs. We can expect it to present unique challenges, and yet we know almost nothing of what it looks like “in the wild” due to the field's relative youth, its technical complexity, the multisensory interactions between haptics, sight, and sound, and the difficulty of accessing practitioners in professional and proprietary environments. In this paper, we analyze interviews with six professional haptic designers to document and articulate haptic experience design by observing designers' goals and processes and finding themes at three levels of scope: the multisensory nature of haptic experiences, a map of the collaborative ecosystem, and the cultural context of haptics. Our findings are augmented by feedback obtained in a recent design workshop at an international haptics conference. We find that haptic designers follow a familiar design process, but face specific challenges when working with haptics. This paper describes a time-evolving digital twin and its application to a proof-of-concept engineering dynamics example. In this work, the digital twin is constructed by combining physics-based and data-based models of the physical twin, using a weighting technique. The resulting model combination enables the temporal evolution of the digital twin to be optimised based on the data recorded from the physical twin. This is achieved by creating digital twin output functions that are optimally-weighted combinations of physics- and/or data-based model components that can be updated over time to reflect the behaviour of the physical twin as accurately as possible. The engineering dynamics example is a system consisting of two cascading tanks driven by a pump. The data received by the digital twin is segmented so that the process can be carried out over relatively short time-scales. The weightings are computed based on error and robustness criteria. It is also shown how the error and robustness weights can be used to make a combined weighting. The results show how the time-varying water level in the tanks can be captured with the digital twin output functions, and a comparison is made with three different weighting choice criteria. Models and information and communication technology (ICT) can assist in the effective supervision of urban receiving water bodies and drainage systems. Single model-based decision tools, e.g., water quality models and the pollution source identification (PSI) method, have been widely reported in this field. However, a systematic pathway for environmental decision support system (EDSS) construction by integrating advanced single techniques has rarely been reported, impeding engineering applications. This paper presents an integrated supervision framework (UrbanWQEWIS) involving monitoring-early warning-source identification-emergency disposal to safeguard the urban water quality, where the data, model, equipment and knowledge are smoothly and logically linked. The generic architecture, all-in-one equipment and three key model components are introduced. A pilot EDSS is developed and deployed in the Maozhou River, China, with the assistance of environmental Internet of Things (IoT) technology. These key model components are successfully validated via in situ monitoring data and dye tracing experiments. In particular, fluorescence fingerprint-based qualitative PSI and Bayesian-based quantitative PSI methods are effectively coupled, which can largely reduce system costs and enhance flexibility. The presented supervision framework delivers a state-of-the-art management tool in the digital water era. This paper presents a new projection based affine motion stabilizer framework for video stabilization using differential-Radon (DRadon) curve warping. Extending the translational domain of classical projection based algorithms towards affine stabilization, multiple angular curves obtained with Radon or rotated images have recently been explored for combined rotation and zoom estimation. Radon provides efficient projection extraction, but use of integral intensity under local variation degrades the desired motion accuracy. DRadon works on derivative of each angular slice to incorporate shape based matching for better projection alignment. Based on human perception of inter-frame tilt in unsteady camera recordings, the proposed angular DRadon curve estimation is confined to angular search space of [−20 ο , 20 ο ] with the angular increment of 0.1 ο . Out of complete set of angular DRadon curves of reference frame, five key-angular slices are selected and correlated with their corresponding neighbourhood in target DRadon for inter-frame tilt estimation. Best matched key slices of reference and target DRadon are warped using a novel multi-constrained approach and the extracted warping vectors are further processed for translation and zoom estimation. A vector-slope algorithm based on relative stretching/contraction between the DRadon-projections is used for camera zoom estimation. Combining the estimated motion parameters, an affine transformation is developed for inter-frame stabilization. The digital economy has demonstrated strong resilience and great potential, under the interwoven influence of the global pandemic and severe environmental concerns across the world. Therefore, there is a need to focus on the value of green economic growth in the digital economy. This paper constructs an evaluation index system and adopts the SEEA (System of Environmental and Economic Accounting) method to measure the digitalization level (Digi) and green economy growth level (GEG) of China. The internal mechanism and linear relationship between digitalization and green economy growth are examined based on the panel data from 2013 to 2019. Moreover, this study explores the spatial spillover effect. The major study findings are as follows: (1) Digitalization and green economy growth represent a steady growth trend, and the former as a whole significantly promotes the latter, with a marginal effect of 1.648. (2) The mechanism analysis indicates the intermediary effects' size of three crucial intermediaries: green technology innovation > advanced industrial structure > the rationalization of industrial structure. (3) Both the "local effect" (0.556; 0.574) and "neighboring effect" (1.382; 1.415) of digitalization on green economy growth are positive under the two weight matrices and display "simultaneous resonance" characteristics based on the spatial perspective. (4) There exists obvious regional spatial heterogeneity and resource endowment heterogeneity. The digital epilepsy self-monitor (EpSMon) app was developed to address the challenge of improving risk education and management in the UK. The tool, which has emerged out of quality improvement methodology, demonstrates efficacy and has been met with peer-reviewed support and international awards. The focus of this paper is about the development and integration into care of a digital self-assessment epilepsy risk empowerment tool into the UK health system. This paper provides detail into the specific challenges of incorporating a digital epilepsy intervention into routine clinical practice. Despite a strong narrative and evidence, the engagement of commissioners, clinicians, and people with epilepsy is slow. Green innovation activities of enterprises often fall into the dilemma of financing constraints. Hence, it is urgent that the financial system develops and becomes innovative, especially for a developing country like China. Existing literature mainly explores the influencing factors of green innovation from the environmental regulation, economic growth and government subsidies perspective. However, few papers critically study how digital finance influences green innovations. To explore the internal influencing mechanism of digital finance on the quantity and quality of green technology innovation, panel data of 271 prefecture-level cities from 2011 to 2019 in China is used. Based on theoretical analysis and empirical research, we get the following conclusions. First, digital finance can improve the quantity and quality of green technological innovation, which has become a significant driving force for green innovations in China. The results are still robust after the endogeneity tests. Second, the results of heterogeneous analysis indicate that the different dimensions of digital finance can improve green innovations. They include breadth of coverage, depth of use, and degree of digitization. The positive effect of digital finance is most substantial in eastern cities, followed by central cities, and weakest in western cities. Third, digital finance indirectly improves green innovation mainly by alleviating financing constraints. As presumed responsible innovators, the HCI community should now consider design strategies that will reduce use and demand for digital technology for the good of both its users and the planet—strategies perhaps even seen as retrogressive in an era where digital technology is constantly implicated in innovation and economic growth. Prior work has noted the potential to design "more moderate" interactions for sustainability, simultaneously addressing negative societal impacts on users' wellbeing, relationships, productivity at work, and privacy. In this paper, we explore how we may design intentionally moderate digital interactions that retain our participants' "more meaningful" experiences. We report on the outcomes of two design workshops to uncover experiences of meaningful device and service use, to inform practical designs for 'moderate and meaningful' interaction. Abstract: A digital ecosystem is a widespread type of ubiquitous computing environment comprised of ubiquitous, geographically dispersed, and heterogeneous species, technologies and services. As a subdomain of the digital ecosystems, digital health ecosystems are crucial for the stability and sustainable development of the digital ecosystems. However, since the service information in the digital health ecosystems exhibits the same features as those in the digital ecosystems, it is difficult for a service consumer to precisely and quickly retrieve a service provider for a given health service request. Consequently, it is a matter of urgency that a technology is developed to discover and classify the health service information obtained from the digital health ecosystems. A survey of state-of-the-art semantic service discovery technologies reveals that no significant research effort has been made in this area. Hence, in this paper, we present a framework for discovering and classifying the vast amount of service information present in the digital health ecosystems. The framework incorporates the technology of semantic focused crawler and social classification. This paper presents a revised rate control scheme based on an improved frame complexity measure. Rate control adopted by both MPEG-4 VM18 and H.264/AVC use a quadratic rate–distortion (R–D) model that determines quantization parameters (QPs). Classical quadratic R–D model is suitable for MPEG-4 but it performs poorly for H.264/AVC because one of the important parameters, mean absolute difference (MAD), is predicted through a linear model, whereas the MAD used in MPEG-4 VM18 is the actual MAD. Inaccurately predicted MAD results in wrong QP and consequently degrades rate–distortion optimization (RDO) performance in H.264. To overcome the limitation of the existing rate control schemes, we introduce an enhanced linear model for predicting MAD, utilizing some knowledge of current frame complexity. Moreover, we propose a more accurate frame complexity measure, namely, normalized MAD, to replace the current use of MAD parameter. Normalized MAD has a stronger correlation with optimally allocated bits than that of the predicted MAD. To minimize video quality variations, we also propose a novel long-term QP limiter (LTQPL). Finally, a dynamic bit allocation scheme among basic units is implemented. Extensive simulation results show that our method, with inexpensive computational complexity added, improves the average peak signal-to-noise ratio (PSNR) and reduces video quality variations considerably.
