The content of the 847 papers presented by authors from Spanish universities at the six conferences of the Spanish Association for Communication Research (AE-IC) is analyzed. The six conferences were held in Santiago de Compostela (2008), Malaga (2010), Tarragona (2012), Bilbao (2014), Madrid (2016), and Salamanca (2018). The research variables of study are: author's profiles, geographic location, gender, home university, most commonly studied topics, and considered media. The results confirm that the gender divide no longer exist: in fact, there are more female than male authors. Universidad Complutense de Madrid and Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona exhibit the highest rates of participation, and Madrid and Catalonia are the most active regions, followed by Andalusia and Valencia. The topics treated are quite diverse, with the study of media content standing out, mainly those focused on political communication. Engineering Without Borders of the Basque Country (ISF - MGI), we are an NGO that develops its activity in the heart of university and in intrenational cooperation for development. We aim to involve people of different studies, experiences and cultures, into a Sustainable Human Development filosophy in which science and technology serve to social and emotional ends, towards wellbeing and in harmony with nature. We are comitted to a transforming education that questions the stereotypes under which we have been educated, the recognition hierarchy of the different disciplines, the social structure under which the paths that have brought us to present have been moulded, and ultimately, the educating system. We aim for a participative education, where comprehension has to do with an inner transformation of the person, and whose work is based on solving people's real problems, with the purpose of encouraging a science and technology at the service of people. With this purpose we have published Aplicación del Enfoque de Género en Proyectos TFG y TFM (Applying a Gender Perspective on End of Degree and End of Masters Reseach Papers), which aims to be a practical guide to afront investigation with a gender perspective. In the same we enphasise the areas in which ISF-MGI works: science and technology, university and international cooperation for development, although it could be valid for any discipline. In "The Yellow Wall-paper" (1982), Charlotte Perkins Gilman brings to the surface the kind of treatment women were subjected to by doctors who acted following their own -male- point of view, ignoring women's perspective and opinions completely. This short story constitutes a valuable document about the situation of women in the United States by the end of XIX century, as it unveils the contradictions of a period of important social change. The main goal in this paper is to analyze the narrator of the novels Papá (2003), La patria (2006), Wërra (2020), Darwin o el origen de la vejez (2022) e Historia íntima del amor masculino (2022), by the Argentinian writer Federico Jeanmaire, from a gender perspective focused on the study of new masculinities. These autobiographic novels are characterized by being narrated in first person by a narrator that functions as a transposition of the author himself, who recalls his life experiences. Particularly, the paper focuses on investigating the relation between the narrator and hegemonic masculinities and its institutions, as well as on attitudes he unfolds in his own emotions or in the romantic love. The objective of this paper is to reflect on the place of memory in social research based on a doctoral research experience based on the construction of life trajectories of reincorporated members of the farc-ep with a gender perspective. Among the main reflections, it is observed how memory and the narratives that make it up must be studied and approached not from the veracity of their data, but from the meaning, lessons and interpretations that those who produce them wish to transmit. It is also noted that, within the collective or social memory, we find memories of subgroups that make up that community. Some of these subgroups do not have a story or are marginalized from the collective or social memory, as can happen with women and the reincorporated. Life trajectories with a gender perspective allow the construction of a social memory by allowing us to recognize ourselves with the other from the common places and the differences that we have when inhabiting the same territory, which in the Colombian case has been crossed by particular dynamics, the armed conflict. The work stands out because it not only reflects on the place of memory in social research from a de-colonial and feminist perspective, but also provides an example of how it can be carried out within the framework of an investigation. The sources used focused on theoretical and methodological texts on memory and life trajectories, as well as on four life trajectories of reincorporated members of the Ffarc-ep, these trajectories were part of the doctoral research.
