This systematic literature review investigates the critical role of the School of Living Traditions (SLT) and its educational approaches in preserving the cultural heritage of Indigenous Peoples (IP) in the Philippines. A set of pre-defined inclusion-exclusion criteria led to the selection of six pertinent papers, which were comprehensively analyzed and synthesized. The examination of these articles revealed recurring themes, allowing for the development of thematic constructs to address the study's objectives. The findings underscore the pivotal role of SLTs in safeguarding the profound traditions of Indigenous Peoples, thereby ensuring the transmission of cultural legacies to younger generations and empowering IP communities. Notably, the significance of SLTs lies in their ability to preserve the authentic essence of cultural practices, contributing to the empowerment of Indigenous communities. In the transmission of this indigenous knowledge, systems, and practices, pedagogical approaches within SLTs are centered on culture-based education and experiential learning. These approaches aim to facilitate meaningful learning experiences that enable individuals to derive personal significance from their acquired knowledge and apply it in real-world contexts. Consequently, this research sheds light on the instrumental role of SLTs in fostering cultural preservation and empowerment within Indigenous communities through tailored educational methodologies. This conceptual and theoretical paper seeks to analyze the dynamics and consequences of psychologization and therapization, key mechanisms of the therapeutic turn in education. In particular, it focuses, on how the pathologization of social problems occasions individualization and the production of self-reliant and inward-looking subjects trained to maximize human capital according to the tenets of neoliberalism. Second, it explains the principles of a critical approach to education that is informed by the concept of intersectionality. It shows how this concept might be helpful in interrogating and addressing structurally embedded inequalities and injustices. Informed by the insights of Kimberlé Williams Crenshaw, this approach engenders a contextualized and nuanced analysis of social forces, social identities, and ideological instruments through which power and disadvantage are expressed and legitimized. To further illustrate its importance, insurgent citizenship education, a concept drawn from the experiences of a Philippine school for displaced indigenous groups will be discussed. Background: Visually impaired and blind adolescents fare poorly in educational attainment compared to adolescents without vision impairment. Rehabilitation holds the potential to compensate for the hindrances that the impairment causes. Many rehabilitation initiatives exist. However, the efficacy of these initiatives remains uncertain. This systematic review assessed which rehabilitation initiatives improve participation in an educational setting for visually impaired and blind adolescents. Methods: PubMed, Embase, Scopus, Cinahl, and Cochrane library databases were searched. Only primary studies as randomized controlled trial (parallel group or crossover), cohort studies, case-control studies, qualitative studies, and case-studies were included. Data on the study characteristics, visual impairment, type of intervention, research question, main findings, and implications for practice were extracted from the papers. Critical appraisal was performed using the Critical Appraisal Checklist for Qualitative Research and the Checklist for Quasi-Experimental Studies both from the Joanna Briggs Institute. The data extraction and the critical appraisal were performed independently by two reviewers. Results: A total of 10 studies with visually impaired and blind adolescents were considered eligible, from an original search result of 3210 studies. In the thematic analysis we identified a heightened focus on different means for studying by making the curriculum content more accessible by applying different audio, tactile, or electronic devices (n = 8). A minor focus in the identified studies (n = 2) was placed on the impact of support from the environment on the development of literacy, for example the support from teachers or parents. Outcome parameters representing more diverse rehabilitation initiatives have not been adequately investigated in the literature. The scientific evidence that we identified was based on few publications with contradictory results and some studies were of questionable quality, limiting the applicability of their findings. Conclusions: Overall, the review identified a gap in the evidence regarding rehabilitation initiatives for visually impaired and blind adolescents that enables participation in an educational setting. The overall quality assessment of the 10 studies identified several risks of bias, for which reason the current scientific evidence does not qualify as a basis for decision making, leaving the adolescents in a heightened risk to fall even further behind in the educational system. China is internationalizing its higher education sector - setting up several bilateral and multilateral partnerships between public and private institutions across the globe. However, as the "West" is disentangling itself from partnerships with Chinese institutions of higher education and the Confucius Institutes (CIs), African countries seem to be turning to Beijing. As a result, China overtook France to become the most preferred destination for African students. But, is higher education Beijing's new strategy to enhance its global status? What is the effect of the shift toward Chinese higher education on Africa's migration trends, and what is the agency of actors in Africa? Focusing on these questions, and premised on the concepts of student mobility, South-South Cooperation (SSC), and people-to-people exchange to explain the novelty and exceptionality of the partnerships, this paper explores the typology, nature, and processes involved in these partnerships and collaborations. Introduction: Indonesia is widely recognized as a geographically complex nation which is comprised of an estimated 17,000 islands and with its 264 million inhabitants, it faces a unique combination of having to organize and deliver health care services to a diverse population who speak 724 languages or dialects. Aim: The purpose of this critical reflective narrative is to expand on the challenging structure of healthcare in Indonesia and the corresponding environment for nursing. More specifically we elaborated on health care settings, delivery of care and nursing education in the midst of complex targeted healthcare reforms. Methods: For this paper's needs a review and critical analysis was conducted by a systematic search in PubMed and Google Scholar, including papers from within the last two decades. Following critical taxonomy of the original output (i.e. 553 refs), a final 36 references were selected for inclusion. Results and Discussion: Results have been organized under the broad categories of Health Care structure and delivery followed by Nursing Education and are further elaborated via critical narration under five detailed sub-categories, i.e. The health care system in Indonesia (Specialized health centers and hospitals), Community Nursing, School Nursing, Home Care Nurse, Nursing Education in Indonesia Conclusions: Indonesia's wide geographical expanse of islands and population diversity makes health care delivery a complex task. Thus, the country should be praised for tackling these challenges and initiatives such as the creation of the PUSKESMAS network which increased geographic access and national healthcare coverage. The paper presents a demographic distribution of the subjective manifestations of anxiety in written communication of Portuguese higher accounting students. The students completed a questionnaire provided online, and data collection ended up with 813 valid participations. Data were processed using IBM, SPSS-27, applying descriptive statistics. The findings showed that students who feel more apprehension in writing are those from the 2nd curricular year. In contrast, students in the 3rd year of the course exhibit the highest levels of Written Communication Apprehension and all dimensions (Positivity towards writing, Negativity towards writing, Evaluation apprehension, Self-efficacy and writing). The results are also consistent across all four dimensions by gender type, with both males and females having less difficulty in the positivity towards writing construct. The group of students aged 40 years or less has a total Written Communication Apprehension higher than the other age groups, denoting a greater difficulty in writing. The paper contributes to the body of literature since it is the first to evaluate Portuguese accounting students' written communication apprehension level. Students and whoever might be looking to understand the context and issues generated by the COVID-19 pandemic will find in this paper a micro-research that highlights the role of faith and family in the development of resilience in adolescents with a predisposition to anxious and depressive behavior. As shown by the works of research cited here and feedback from our respondents, faith manifested in moral values through personal acts, or the participation in community life through religious and spiritual practices is a means toward developing resilience in youth and creating a feeling of belonging and solidarity. This research paper also highlights that both the nucleus family and the expanded family offer a supporting and learning environment that is adjustable, where youth can find resources and strength to build a dignified and safe life. This paper investigates the complications experienced by Switzerland and Spain in administering the European Charter for Regional or Minority Languages (ECRML). The Charter is a vital legislative instrument for defending the varied languages across Europe. The paper digs into the problems encountered, including concerns with ratification, sociolinguistic obstacles, resource limits, and linguistic variety. Purpose: The purpose of this paper is to make visible the field's propensity to center whiteness even in engaging inclusive practices in information literacy classrooms. This paper offers abolitionist pedagogy as a means to understand and address these concerns. Design/methodology/approach: This paper uses interdisciplinary research methods in the fields of education, library science, feminist studies, Black studies and abolition studies to examine and provide an analysis of current information literacy practices by using abolitionist pedagogy to articulate how it is possible to expand information literacy instruction practices. Findings: Current information literacy practices and methods that seek to create inclusive learning environments for racialized and minoritized learners rely on a set of institutionalized practices such as critical information literacy and culturally sustaining pedagogies. An examination of these practices through an abolitionist pedagogical lens reveals how the field has engaged in reductive and uncritical engagement with these methods despite employing them to create inclusive spaces. Using abolitionist pedagogy as a lens, this critical essay examines the field's foundations in whiteness and illustrates pathways for transformative educational justice. This paper investigates the intergovernmental transfer systems in South Africa, more specifically, the underlying determinants and formula of the unconditional grants of the education component of the Provincial Equitable Share (PES). The PES formula is a weighted shares formula that depends on the demographic shares of the provinces (population) to determine the equitable share outcomes to be transferred to individual provinces. We find that the variables used have two main weaknesses: Firstly, the enrolment variable, which could be contaminated with school repeats and dropouts, is too broad to be an effective measure for representing the real beneficiaries of the transfers. Secondly, infrequent updates about the school-age cohort population variables render the desired PES grant transfers for education outdated as well as serially inconsistent. The paper also provides an analysis of the PES formula's mathematical construct, followed by a few suggested variables to improve the relevance and accuracy of the formula of the revenue transfer. One such improvement is demonstrated by the inclusion of the Enrolment Survival Measure (ESR). More research and data are required to extrapolate nuanced results and to understand the socio-economic impacts of adopting these new variables in the PES formula going forward. Curriculum reforms at the secondary-school level in Malaysia began in 1988 and was fully implemented in 1989. Heagly and Evans define curriculum as structured experience provided by the school for the student, so the student can meet all set learning outcomes to the best of their abilities. Prior to the introduction of the Secondary School Integrated Curriculum (KBSM), many issues were identified in the secondary school curriculum that served as the benchmark for curriculum reforms in Malaysia. Based on analysis, the introduction of KBSM was closely related to the turbulent historical issues during the first three decades after independence. These issues include problems with unity, inability to produce skilled labour, and the fragile and still negligible usage of the national language. Therefore, this article analyses the historical issues closely related to the introduction of KBSM, and the individuals responsible for ensuring KBSM comes into reality. The historical method is used as the thrust of this paper. Data collection-wise, this paper uses the qualitative analysis method of archival and library research. This approach aims to gather information and analysis a variety of primary and secondary sources such as the Report of the Education Committee 1956, Report of the Education Review Committee 1960, and the Cabinet Committee Report on Review of Implementation of Education Policies 1979, along with the Curriculum Committee Meeting Minutes in 1972, 1986 and 1987. The findings confirm the three historical issues strongly influenced the thought processes that went into planning and drafting KBSM. The paper in question is focused on (1) valuing the expanded and transdisciplinary approach for the definition of cultural heritage, consolidated in Brazil from the 1970s/1980s onwards, (2) and its subsequent applicability in the field of education, under the influence of a liberating pedagogy proposed by educator Paulo Freire. An important consequence of this process involves the conception of a formal education system structured to promote collectivity, equality, diversity, and educational equity, as a solution towards ensuring both the learning and development of students. (3) The paper discusses the contribution of the expanded context of cultural heritage and its relationship with the field of education in the development of pedagogical strategies that promote educational equity, through the Base Nacional Comum Curricular (BNCC), a document that parameterizes the curricula from early childhood education to high school in Brazil. From a bibliographic review, the paper presents the conjuncture on which the new look at cultural heritage has been consolidated, and the consequent redefinition of heritage education actions, and then, as a result, analyzes the approximation between this new approach and the formal educational strategies present in the BNCC, as well as the possibilities of intercommunication between both. The role of organisational culture in supporting organisational outcomes is well documented in the further education (FE) sector within the UK. The benefits of a strong and unifying culture are recognised as having a positive impact on staff and students. However, a cultural institutional dichotomy has been acknowledged between the business and educational needs of colleges within the FE sector since the advent of incorporation in 1993. This paper utilised an interpretive, hermeneutical approach to analyse the perceptions of principals, middle leaders and teachers, within three general further education colleges (GFECs) in England to determine if that dichotomy exists in their current operating environment. The paper concludes that while there are elements of a clash of business and education ideals, general further education college (GFEC) culture has moved beyond the narrative of being corporate and driven solely by the concept of performativity. The article contributes to the ongoing debate on FE purpose and establishes the importance of aligning macro and subcultures into a set of professional working practices within GFECs to support positive student outcomes. Purpose: the aim of the paper is to present the role of education in developing one’s awareness of sustainable development. The first educational stage is a special period of development, during which it is extremely important to develop pro-ecological and pro-social attitudes. Approach: the paper shows the essence of education for sustainable development (ESD) in shaping the values, empathy and awareness that are needed to act for society, the environment and the economy. There are many scientific publications that present research on the implementation of ESD in school curricula, but only few of them truly analyze the role of the first stage of education, which is considered the period of greatest human development. Findings: what formal education requires is to redefine and adopt a new experiential learning paradigm. The principal role of the school, as an organization responsible for shaping this process, and also of the teacher, is to shape specific attitudes of creativity, wisdom and reasoning. These competencies are blocked by pre-established learning outcomes that need to be verified through sets of compulsory tests. Practical implications: currently, the implementation of ESD at the first stage of education involves changing existing curricula. However, it is also worth paying attention to the need for balance at every stage of school activity: organizational, teaching, educational, and to notice possible changes in the area of quality and standards regarding ESD in Poland. Originality/value: the implementation of ESD at the stage of early education in Poland is not yet well recognized; the article offers threads for possible further discussion, as well as the design of practical strategies. In this paper we assess intergenerational mobility in terms of education and income rank in five Latin American countries--Brazil, Chile, Ecuador, Mexico, and Panama--by accounting for the education and occupation of both parents. Based on the method proposed by Lubotsky and Wittenberg (2006), we find that intergenerational persistence estimates increase by 26% to 50% when besides of the education of parents we consider also their occupation. The increase is particularly strong when education is more evenly distributed in the parents' generation. Furthermore, we evaluate the changing importance of each single proxy for parental background to explain intergenerational mobility patterns in each country and over time, and find that the relative importance of the characteristics of mothers have been increasing over the last decades, in line with rising women's average years of education and labor market participation. The purpose of this paper is to demonstrate how to extend a web framework (WF) for developing web apps that can meet the diverse needs of different fields. This work aims to provide computer science senior project students with an opportunity to work on a wide range of projects using Apache, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and MySQL. The paper presents a WF that manages jokes, based on the book PHP & MySQL: Novice to Ninja (6th ed.) by T. Butler and K. Yank. The WF is interactive, responsive, secure, password-protected and database-driven. It consists of generic and specific components that use a MySQL database on the web server-side to store jokes. The specific components can be modified or added to create custom apps. Admin users can log in with their email and password and perform various actions (view, add, delete and edit) on jokes and categories, depending on their level of permission. Admins with full permissions can also edit the permissions of other registered accounts and access the Manage Categories, Manage Jokes, and Manage Authors pages. The original WF is enhanced and expanded for the senior project starting point by adding the following features: a hierarchical main menu with admin menus as the second level, a highlighted selected menu item, responsive design - accessibility on all devices, improved password security (minimum of 8 characters, 1 lowercase letter, 1 uppercase letter, 1 digit, 1 special character), a two-factor authentication security subsystem, cascaded deletion and uploaded and retrieved binary files (images and documents). As the application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) continues to permeate various sectors, the educational landscape is no exception. Several AI in education (AIEd) applications, like chatbots, present an intriguing array of opportunities and challenges. This paper provides an in-depth exploration of the use and role of AI in education and research, focusing on the benefits (the good) and potential pitfalls (the bad and ugly) associated with the deployment of chatbots and other AIEDs. The opportunities explored include personalised learning, facilitation of administrative tasks, enriched research capabilities, and the provision of a platform for collaboration. These advantages are balanced against potential downsides, such as job displacement, misinformation, plagiarism, and the erosion of human connection. Ethical considerations, particularly concerning data privacy, bias reinforcement, and the digital divide, are also examined. Conclusions drawn from this analysis stress the importance of striking a balance between AI capabilities and human elements in education, as well as developing comprehensive ethical frameworks for AI deployment in educational contexts. Artificial intelligence (AI) is an umbrella term that encompasses different fields of study, and topics related to these fields are addressed separately or within the scope of AI. Multi-agent systems (MASs) and machine learning (ML) are the core concepts of AI that are taught during AI courses. The separate explanation of these core research areas is common, but the emergence of federated learning has triggered their combined usage. This paper describes a practical scenario in the energy domain where these technologies can be used together to provide a sustainable energy solution for predicting wind turbine active power production. The projects in the AI course were assigned prior to the step-by-step learning of MASs and ML. These concepts were applied using a wind turbine energy dataset collected in Turkey to predict the power production of wind turbines. The observed performance improvements, achieved by applying various agent architectures and data partitioning scenarios, indicate that boosting methods such as LightGBM yield better results even when the settings are modified. Additionally, a questionnaire about the assignments was filled out by the student groups to assess the impact of learning MASs and ML through project-based education. The application of MASs and ML in a hybrid way proves valuable for learning core concepts related to AI education, as evidenced by feedback from students. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Inclusive education is enshrined in law and supported by the literature as best practice in education. Inclusive education has been shown to provide better academic, social and behavioural outcomes for children with disabilities than segregated learning environments. In the Northern Territory, Australia, however, the dual system of mainstream and special education persists and so too does segregation and exclusion. The Northern Territory education strategy commits to strengthening inclusion and empowering families in educational decision-making by listening to their voices. In this paper, we highlight some of these voices, examining the experiences and perspectives of caregivers of children with disabilities as they participate in education in the Northern Territory. Caregivers' experiences were coded into categories of inclusion and exclusion. Those that were not clearly inclusion nor exclusion were identified and the theme of non-inclusion was created. Non-inclusion was analysed thematically and is discussed as a nebulous space that exists for caregivers, presenting significant challenges that threaten their child's inclusion at school as they navigate this dual system. If Australian education systems are to provide genuine inclusive education, we need to understand the experiences of caregivers better so we can remediate the issues creating non-inclusion for children with disabilities and caregivers. Society has always relied on education for the building of progress ever since the dawn of history, and books have always been strong agents of change no matter the shape they came in (papyrus, codex, handwritten manuscripts, printed books, digital books, etc.). For this reason, analyzing the interplay between education and books is valuable and necessary if we wish to get a better sense of society at any moment. This paper explores how education and the book industry intersect in today's Romanian society. However, it also proposes a possible solution for strengthening their relationship and opening new horizons for culture and research. More specifically, my analysis focuses on children's literature since children's education is considered an investment into the future of society in modern democratic states. In the case of Romania, it is unfortunate that this type of literature is somewhat neglected compared to other countries, but this should never be a good enough reason for not trying to create more creative contexts to improve the situation. Drawing inspiration from what other countries are doing to develop bridges between education and the children's book market, but at the same time highlighting essential initiatives in Romania that can become reliable engines of change, I strongly advocate for the necessity and possibility of creating a Romanian House of Children's Literature, open to supporting researchers, professionals, and families in their shared mission to ensure quality development of children. Nestled in the foothills of Aravali, Mewat is one of the most backward districts in India. It is home to nearly 11 lakh people and the majority population (70%) belongs to Meo Muslim community. As per NITI Aayog report (2018) Mewat came out last of all 101 districts which were calculated on the development index based on 49 indicators from 5 identified thematic areas - education, health, agriculture, financial inclusion and skill development and basic infrastructure. It came as a surprise as the region which is just 80 kms away from the national capital of India and gleaming Gurgaon, yet it ranks below some of the known backward districts of Bihar, Jharkhand and U.P. The poor conditions of Mewat put added pressure on the already submissive state of women of Mewat who form 49% of the district population and are still treated as inferior and subservient to men. The COVID-19 pandemic further exacerbated their problems by restraining their limited mobility and resources availability. The focus of this paper is to gain an in-depth understanding of life of women of Mewat, their issues and challenges, faced especially during Covid times. The purpose behind the study is to investigate the existing gender disparity among Meo Muslim community and how it affects the overall status of women of Mewat. This paper is based upon the primary data collected by interviewing 10 married women from Badelaki village of Mewat. Researcher being a resident of Mewat, the data is further substantiated by her experiences and reflections. The study highlights some of the core issues and challenges of women of Mewat and put forward suggestions. In the end, researcher concludes the study with an opinion that the prime reason for continuous subjugation of women is the traditional and patriarchal culture of Mewat which perceives women as second gender. This paper analyzes the ways that the widespread use of generative AIs (GAIs) in education and, more broadly, in contributing to and reflecting the collective intelligence of our species, can and will change us. Methodologically, the paper applies a theoretical model and grounded argument to present a case that GAIs are different in kind from all previous technologies. The model extends Brian Arthur's insights into the nature of technologies as the orchestration of phenomena to our use by explaining the nature of humans' participation in their enactment, whether as part of the orchestration (hard technique, where our roles must be performed correctly) or as orchestrators of phenomena (soft technique, performed creatively or idiosyncratically). Education may be seen as a technological process for developing these soft and hard techniques in humans to participate in the technologies, and thus the collective intelligence, of our cultures. Unlike all earlier technologies, by embodying that collective intelligence themselves, GAIs can closely emulate and implement not only the hard technique but also the soft that, until now, was humanity's sole domain; the very things that technologies enabled us to do can now be done by the technologies themselves. Because they replace things that learners have to do in order to learn and that teachers must do in order to teach, the consequences for what, how, and even whether learning occurs are profound. The paper explores some of these consequences and concludes with theoretically informed approaches that may help us to avert some dangers while benefiting from the strengths of generative AIs. Its distinctive contributions include a novel means of understanding the distinctive differences between GAIs and all other technologies, a characterization of the nature of generative AIs as collectives (forms of collective intelligence), reasons to avoid the use of GAIs to replace teachers, and a theoretically grounded framework to guide adoption of generative AIs in education. In-service teacher training programs offer opportunities for teachers in both public and private schools to enhance their professional skills, particularly in the areas of required teaching skills, supplementary subject content knowledge, and teaching pedagogy. The lack of availability of in-service teacher training programs for teachers within the education system has undesirable consequences, particularly regarding the delivery of quality education to learners in public and private schools in the Zambezi region, Namibia. This paper discusses the perspectives of Agricultural science teachers on the need for in-service teacher training. To achieve the objectives of this paper, crucial data were collected from Agricultural science teachers in the Zambezi region through face-to-face interviews. Twelve Agricultural science teachers (comprising six from urban schools and six from semi-urban schools) were interviewed using face-to-face interview guides. The study revealed that the in-service teacher training programs attended by Agricultural science teachers were relevant to their teaching roles. Furthermore, the study emphasized that to maintain the relevance of in-service teacher training programs, components such as practical activities, projects, investigations, and subject content knowledge should be the focus, in order to continually enhance the capacities of Agricultural science teachers. The study recommends that the regional education directorate in the Zambezi region establish a policy for continuous in-service teacher training programs, including them in their annual financial plan, to improve teacher performance in the region. This paper examines the phenomenon of child and youth labour in the post-Stalin era in the Soviet Union. The starting point for the consideration constitutes the analysis of the law adopted by the Supreme Soviet of the USSR in 1958 titled "On the strengthening of the link between school and life and the further development of people's education in the USSR". This law placed great emphasis on combining education with practice and involving pupils from the earliest grades in various forms of both productive and socially useful labour. Subsequently, four categories of labour to which children and young people in the USSR were systemically forced has been distinguished. These included: occasional labours, work and leisure camps, so-called subbotniki and little communal works, as well as compulsory recycling. The demand for higher and tertiary education in Africa is now high, and as a result, public institutions are enrolling many students, a phenomenon now called massification (Pillay, 2020; Noui, 2020). The term massification is defined as the increase in the enrollment of students without a proportionate boost in resources (Adetiba, 2019; Mohamedbhai, 2016). Zimbabwean universities are enrolling many students to fund operations since government funding has dwindled (Garwe, 2016; Madzimure, 2016). The provision of quality education is becoming a challenge due to the high lecturer-student ratio, especially on courses that are highly practical in nature (Adetiba, 2019). There is a lack of proper management and engagement of students in very large classes, and as a result, students resort to memorizing content learned instead of engaging in critical thinking (Madzimure, 2016; Lee, 2016). Literature points out that if students develop self-regulated learning strategies, they will overcome challenges brought by massification. The purpose of this paper was to develop and evaluate the impact of a multimedia teaching tool in assisting students to develop selfregulated learning strategies so that they improve their performance while learning computer programming in a large class setup. Purposive sampling was used in this study, and the researcher adhered to design science research methodology.Students enrolled in introduction to computer programming used the multimediaClearn teaching tool that was developed hencepurposive sampling was used in this study.One class (BITH131) was the control group and students enrolled in BSIT 131 were the experimental group. In this paper, we will look over some of the most important and widely spread international commitments in terms of achieving gender equality and empowering women such as the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action, the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the Istanbul Convention, with a particular focus pointed towards the issues in implementing these ground-breaking gender equality treaties and initiatives. The paper offers an overview of the way a specific state, Romania, manages to implement these kinds of commitments in general terms, if and how the Romanian Government has succeeded in implementing the legislative packages necessary for the harmonisation of the national legislation with the international commitments taken by the government, what statistic position among European countries does Romania occupy in terms of gender equality and what are the recommendations provided by the United Nations for dealing with Romania's gender equality issues. Lastly, a more in detail examination of the current framework used to teach gender equality in the national education system will be provided, touching on subjects such as gender balance among education staff, the cognitive, socio-emotional and behavioural learning objectives set by UNESCO and how they apply to gender to gender issues in the school curriculum for all ages in Romania. A documentary review was carried out on the production and publication of research papers related to the study of the Digitization of academic content in Higher Education Institutions in Latin America during Covid-19 in the period between 2020 and 2021. The purpose of the bibliometric analysis proposed in this document is to know the main characteristics of the volume of publications registered in the Scopus database during the period 2020-2021 by Latin American institutions, achieving the identification of 133 publications in total. The information provided by this platform was organized using graphs and figures, categorizing the information by Year of Publication, Country of Origin, Area of Knowledge, and Type of Publication. Once these characteristics were described, the position of different authors regarding the proposed topic was referenced through qualitative analysis. Among the main findings of this research, it is found that Mexico was the country with the highest production with 33 publications. The area of knowledge that made the greatest contribution to the construction of bibliographic material referring to the study of the digitization of academic contents by higher education institutions during the Covid-19 pandemic was Social Sciences with 74 published documents, and the type of publication that was most used during the period indicated above was the journal article, representing 55% of the total scientific production. Background: The prevalence of type 2 diabetes is a global health challenge that requires continuous care. Non-pharmaceutical interventions in controlling and treating type 2 diabetes can be less costly and have fewer complications. Accordingly, this study identifies non-pharmaceutical interventions in controlling and treating type 2 diabetes through systematic review. Methods: This study is a systematic review of the papers published in non-pharmaceutical interventions to control and treat type 2 diabetes. The authors have used the standard guideline of systematic review (PRISMA). A total of 41 papers were selected from 529 full-text articles published between 2014 and 2020. The search included the electronic data banks, including Medline, Science Direct, Embase, Scopus, Cochrane Library, and the Google Scholar search engine. Results: Non-pharmaceutical interventions were classified into four categories: Lifestyle, treatment devices, traditional treatment, and education. The results showed that lifestyle modification is the most effective non-pharmaceutical intervention for treating type 2 diabetes. Conclusion: Study findings show that applying non-pharmaceutical interventions effectively controls and prevents type-2 diabetes complications. Chinese industrial heritage is the materialized carrier and historical witness of the evolution of urban spatial structure and industrial development. As an inseparable part of cultural heritage, it has rich historical, social, economic, scientific, technological, and aesthetic value. However, industrial heritage as a value is not suffi ciently acknowledged in the Chinese society. The factories, their activity, and their historical evolution are often disconnected and isolated from the daily life of the cities, being quite an unknown aspect for most citizens. In addition, due to the acceleration of urbanization, many industrial heritages in cities have disappeared. China has spent two decades promoting sustainable development of its industrial heritage, but there is still a lack of knowledge on how to promote sustainable development of industrial heritage through digital education. Based on these findings the paper discusses our research that promotes sustainable development aspects of industrial heritage, and our subsequent work has particularly focussed on associated landscape recovery. It does so by focussing on the particular highly valued heritage case of the Anshan Steel production site in China, and the environmental consequences of the Dagushan Open mine on the landscape. The paper ends with a critical reflection on how a digital tool can help to shape industrial heritage education, appreciation and involvement, and hence foster sustainable development processes. Overtime management theory has developed in an effort to appreciate these complexities and suggest frameworks from which managers should operate. However, should management and the role of a manager be considered generic? Or, instead should we appreciate the distinctions dependant on the context in which a manager is operating in? This paper focuses on education middle managers working in vocational education and training using the Further Education sector in England as a case study to investigate the role. Utilising systematic review the paper will discuss literature on management theory, competency theory and further education management. It considers a range of management theories such as scientific, human relations and open systems theory discussing how these have informed the development of competency theory and frameworks, highlighting the strengths and limitations of prior studies. Building from these studies, this paper creates a new way to develop management competency frameworks. This is illustrated by proposing a contextualised literature-informed competency framework for further education middle managers.
