There is increasing interest in space domain awareness worldwide, motivating investigation of the use of non-traditional sensors for space surveillance. One such class of sensor is VHF wind profiling radars, which have a low cost relative to other radars typically applied to this task. These radars are ubiquitous throughout the world and may potentially offer complementary space surveillance capabilities to the Space Surveillance Network. This paper updates an initial investigation on the use of Buckland Park VHF wind profiling radars for observing resident space objects in low Earth orbit to further investigate the space surveillance capabilities of the sensor class. The radar was operated during the Australian Defence "SpaceFest" 2019 activity, incorporating new beam scheduling and signal processing functionality that extend upon the capabilities described in the initial investigation. The beam scheduling capability used two-line element propagations to determine the appropriate beam direction to use to observe transiting satellites. The signal processing capabilities used a technique based on the Keystone transform to correct for range migration, allowing the development of new signal processing modes that allow the coherent integration time to be increased to improve the SNR of the observed targets, thereby increasing the detection rate. The results reveal that 5874 objects were detected over 10 days, with 2202 unique objects detected, representing a three-fold increase in detection rate over previous single-beam direction observations. The maximum detection height was 2975.4 km, indicating a capability to detect objects in medium Earth orbit. A minimum detectable RCS at 1000 km of −10.97 dBm2 (0.09 m2) was observed. The effects of Faraday rotation resulting from the use of linearly polarised antennae are demonstrated. The radar's utility for providing total electron content (TEC) measurements is investigated using a high-range resolution mode and high-precision ephemeris data. Migration flocks have different forms, including single individuals, formations, and irregular clusters. The shape of a flock can change swiftly over time. The real-time clustering of multiple groups with different characteristics is crucial for the monitoring of dynamically changing migratory flocks. Traditional clustering algorithms need to set various prior parameters, including the number of groups, the number of nearest neighbors, or the minimum number of individuals. However, flocks may display complex group behaviors (splitting, combination, etc.), which complicate the choice and adjustment of the parameters. This paper uses a real-time clustering-based method that utilizes concepts from the algebraic graph theory. The connected graph is used to describe the spatial relationship between the targets. The similarity matrix is calculated, and the problem of group clustering is equivalent to the extraction of the partitioned matrices within. This method needs only one prior parameter (the similarity distance) and is adaptive to the group's splitting and combination. Two modifications are proposed to reduce the computation burden. First, the similarity distance can be broadened to reduce the exponent of the similarity matrix. Second, the omni-directional measurements are divided into multiple sectors to reduce the dimension of the similarity matrix. In contemporary warfare, radar countermeasures have become multifunctional and intelligent, rendering the conventional jamming method and platform unsuitable for the modern radar countermeasures battlefield due to their limited efficiency. Reinforcement learning has been proven to be a practical solution for cognitive jamming decision-making in the cognitive electronic warfare. In this paper, we proposed a radar-jamming decision-making algorithm based on an improved Q-Learning algorithm. This improved Q-Learning algorithm ameliorated the problem of overestimating the Q-value that exists in the Q-Learning algorithm by introducing a second Q-table. At the same time, we performed a comprehensive design and implementation based on the classical Q-Learning algorithm, deploying it to a Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) hardware. We decomposed the implementation of the reinforcement learning algorithm into individual steps and described each step using a hardware description language. Then, the reinforcement learning algorithm can be computed on FPGA by linking the logic modules with valid signals. Experiments show that the proposed Q-Learning algorithm obtains considerable improvement in performance over the classical Q-Learning algorithm. Although there is extensive research demonstrating the significant loss and fragmentation of urban spaces caused by rapid urbanization, to date, no empirical research in Shanghai has investigated the spatiotemporal dynamics of urban open spaces using a comprehensive set of integrated geospatial techniques based on long-sequence time series. Based on the Google Earth Engine (GEE) platform and using the Random Forest (RF) classifier, multiple techniques, namely landscape metrics, trend analysis, open space ratio, transition matrix, Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI), and fractal dimension analysis, were applied to analyze the Landsat satellite data. Next, Geographic Detector (GeoDetector) methods were used to investigate the driving forces of such spatial variations. The results showed that (1) the RF classification algorithm, supported by the GEE, can accurately and quickly obtain a research object dataset, and that calculating the optimal spatial grain size for open space pattern was 70 m; (2) open spaces exhibited declining and contracting trends; and open spaces in the city experienced a decline from 91.83% in 1980 to 69.63% in 2020. Meanwhile, the degree of open spaces in each district increased to different extents, whilst connectivity markedly decreased. Furthermore, the open space of city center districts showed the lowest rate of decrease, with open space patterns fragmenting due to encroaching urbanization; (3) the contribution of socioeconomic factors to the spatial–temporal changes in open space continually has increased over the past 40 years, and were also higher than natural geographic factors to some extent. Apart from offering policy insights guiding the future spatial planning and development of the city, this paper has contributions from both methodological and empirical perspectives. The census and management of hazard-bearing entities, along with the integrity of data quality, form crucial foundations for disaster risk assessment and zoning. By addressing the challenge of feature confusion, prevalent in single remotely sensed image recognition methods, this paper introduces a novel method, Spatially Constrained Deep Learning (SCDL), that combines deep learning with spatial constraint strategies for the extraction of disaster-bearing bodies, focusing on dams as a typical example. The methodology involves the creation of a dam dataset using a database of dams, followed by the training of YOLOv5, Varifocal Net, Faster R-CNN, and Cascade R-CNN models. These models are trained separately, and highly confidential dam location information is extracted through parameter thresholding. Furthermore, three spatial constraint strategies are employed to mitigate the impact of other factors, particularly confusing features, in the background region. To assess the method's applicability and efficiency, Qinghai Province serves as the experimental area, with dam images from the Google Earth Pro database used as validation samples. The experimental results demonstrate that the recognition accuracy of SCDL reaches 94.73%, effectively addressing interference from background factors. Notably, the proposed method identifies six dams not recorded in the GOODD database, while also detecting six dams in the database that were previously unrecorded. Additionally, four dams misdirected in the database are corrected, contributing to the enhancement and supplementation of the global dam geo-reference database and providing robust support for disaster risk assessment. In conclusion, leveraging open geographic data products, the comprehensive framework presented in this paper, encompassing deep learning target detection technology and spatial constraint strategies, enables more efficient and accurate intelligent retrieval of disaster-bearing bodies, specifically dams. In recent years, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) have become a popular and cost-effective technology in urban scenarios, encompassing applications such as material transportation, aerial photography, remote sensing, and disaster relief. However, the execution of prolonged tasks poses a heightened challenge owing to the constrained endurance of UAVs. This paper proposes a model to accurately represent urban scenarios and an unmanned system. Restricted zones, no-fly zones, and building obstructions to the detection range are introduced to make sure the model is realistic enough. We also introduced an unmanned ground vehicle (UGV) into the model to solve the endurance of the UAVs in this long-time task scenario. The UGV and UAVs constituted a heterogeneous unmanned system to collaboratively solve the path-planning problem in the model. Building upon this model, this paper designs a Three-stage Alternating Optimization Algorithm (TAOA), involving two crucial steps of prediction and rolling optimization. A three-stage scheme is introduced to rolling optimization to effectively address the complex optimization process for the unmanned system. Finally, the TAOA was experimentally validated in both synthetic scenarios and scenarios modeled based on a real-world location to demonstrate their reliability. The experiments conducted in the synthetic scenarios aimed to assess the algorithm under hypothetical conditions, while the experiments in the scenarios based on real-world locations provided a practical evaluation of the proposed methods in more complex and authentic environments. The identification of wetland vegetation is essential for environmental protection and management as well as for monitoring wetlands' health and assessing ecosystem services. However, some limitations on vegetation classification may be related to remote sensing technology, confusion between plant species, and challenges related to inadequate data accuracy. In this paper, vegetation classification in the Yancheng Coastal Wetlands is studied and evaluated from Sentinel-2 images based on a random forest algorithm. Based on consistent time series from remote sensing observations, the characteristic patterns of the Yancheng Coastal Wetlands were better captured. Firstly, the spectral features, vegetation indices, and phenological characteristics were extracted from remote sensing images, and classification products were obtained by constructing a dense time series using a dataset based on Sentinel-2 images in Google Earth Engine (GEE). Then, remote sensing classification products based on the random forest machine learning algorithm were obtained, with an overall accuracy of 95.64% and kappa coefficient of 0.94. Four indicators (POP, SOS, NDVIre, and B12) were the main contributors to the importance of the weight analysis for all features. Radar emitter signal sorting (RESS) is a crucial process in contemporary electronic battlefield situation awareness. Separating pulses belonging to the same radar emitter from interleaved radar pulse sequences with a lack of prior information, high density, strong overlap, and wide parameter distribution has attracted increasing attention. In order to improve the accuracy of RESS under scenarios with limited labeled samples, this paper proposes an RESS model called TR-RAGCN-AFF-RESS. This model transforms the RESS problem into a pulse-by-pulse classification task. Firstly, a novel weighted adjacency matrix construction method was proposed to characterize the structural relationships between pulse attribute parameters more accurately. Building upon this foundation, two networks were developed: a Transformer(TR)-based interleaved pulse sequence temporal feature extraction network and a residual attention graph convolutional network (RAGCN) for extracting the structural relationship features of attribute parameters. Finally, the attention feature fusion (AFF) algorithm was introduced to fully integrate the temporal features and attribute parameter structure relationship features, enhancing the richness of feature representation for the original pulses and achieving more accurate sorting results. Compared to existing deep learning-based RESS algorithms, this method does not require many labeled samples for training, making it better suited for scenarios with limited labeled sample availability. Experimental results and analysis confirm that even with only 10% of the training samples, this method achieves a sorting accuracy exceeding 93.91%, demonstrating high robustness against measurement errors, lost pulses, and spurious pulses in non-ideal conditions. With the development of urban built-up areas, accurately extracting the urban built-up area and spatiotemporal pattern evolution trends could be valuable for understanding urban sprawl and human activities. Considering the coarse spatial resolution of nighttime light (NTL) data and the inaccurate regional boundary reflection on point of interest (POI) data, land surface temperature (LST) data were introduced. A composite index method (LJ–POI–LST) was proposed based on the positive relationship for extracting the boundary and reflecting the spatial-temporal evolution of urban built-up areas involving the NTL, POIs, and LST data from 1993 to 2018 in this paper. This paper yielded the following results: (1) There was a spatial-temporal pattern evolution from north-east to south-west with a primary quadrant orientation of IV, V, and VI in the Hefei urban area from 1993–2018. The medium-speed expansion rate, with an average value of 14.3 km2/a, was much faster than the population growth rate. The elasticity expansion coefficient of urbanization of 1.93 indicated the incongruous growth rate between the urban area and population, leading to an incoordinate and unreasonable development trend in Hefei City. (2) The detailed extraction accuracy for urban and rural junctions, urban forest parks, and other error-prone areas was improved, and the landscape connectivity and fragmentation were optimized according to the LJ–POI–LST composite index based on a high-resolution remote sensing validation image in the internal spatial structure. (3) Compared to the conventional NTL data and the LJ–POI index, the LJ–POI–LST composite index method displayed an extraction accuracy greater than 85%, with a similar statistical and landscape pattern index result. This paper provides a suitable method for the positive relationship among these LST, NTL, and POI data for accurately extracting the boundary and reflecting the spatial-temporal evolution of urban built-up areas by the fusion data. HF radar systems form part of many operational coastal monitoring systems providing near-real-time surface currents for many useful applications. Although wave measurements have been possible with these systems for many years, they have not yet been adopted widely for operational monitoring because they have not been thought to be sufficiently accurate or reliable. However, the value of such data is beginning to be appreciated, and this is motivating more work on wave measurement with HF radar systems with many more papers on accuracy assessment and data availability appearing in the literature. In this paper, the wave measurement capability, limitations, and differences between different radar types are reviewed, and methods to assess accuracy are discussed and applied to phased array HF radar data obtained from the University of Plymouth WERA radars using the Seaview Software inversion method during April and November 2012 compared with directional buoy data. Good accuracy over a range of different wave parameters will be demonstrated. Newly available single-radar inversions are shown to be less accurate than dual-radar inversions, although they still provide useful data, and ways to improve performance are discussed. Swell and wind–sea components in the directional spectra are identified, and qualitative agreement with buoy peak parameters is demonstrated. To enhance the accuracy and stability of FY-4A/AGRI detection data, the MODIS, with highly accurate onboard calibration, is selected as the reference sensor for cross-radiation calibration calculations. The following are the data selection conditions: full considered time, observation geometries, field angles, cloud cover, etc. FY-4A/AGRI and Aqua-MODIS image data are selected as matching sample region locations, where the time difference between the observations for the same ground object is less than 15 min, the satellite zenith angle is less than 30°, and the field angle difference is less than 0.01. The 245 collected reflectance spectral curves are convolved with the spectral response functions of the two sensors, and the spectral band adjustment factors of the corresponding bands are calculated for spectral correction purposes. The cross-calibration coefficients for the red and near-infrared bands are calculated by linearly fitting the simulated top of the atmosphere reflectance values and digital number values from the AGRI sensor in a homogeneous area. In this paper, 16 cross-calibration calculations are performed on FY-4A/AGRI image data from August 2018 to September 2020, and the results are compared with the original calibration coefficients to test the feasibility of the proposed method. Additionally, 31 cross-calibration calculations are performed on image data from October 2020 to December 2022 to study the resulting AGRI sensor quality and performance changes. The NDVI of the FY-4A/AGRI image data was calculated before and after the cross-radiometric calibration using the maximum synthesis method. Additionally, the NDVI of the MODIS image data was compared and analyzed from three aspects: time, space, and the change trend. The results show that the spectral band adjustment factor calculated using the reflectance spectral curves of the ground objects in this paper can effectively correct for the spectral differences between the two sensors. Sixteen cross-calibration coefficients are less than 5.2% different from the original calibration coefficients, which fully proves the feasibility of the method used in this paper. All of the cross-calibration results show that the AGRI sensors have a certain degree of attenuation in the red and near-infrared bands, and the annual attenuation rates are approximately 1.37% and 2.55%, respectively. In modern electronic warfare, radar intelligence has become increasingly crucial when dealing with complex interference environments. This paper combines radar agile frequency technology with reinforcement learning to achieve adaptive frequency hopping for radar anti-jamming. Unlike traditional reinforcement learning with Markov decision processes (MDPs), the interaction between radar and jammers occurs within the partially observable Markov decision processes (POMDPs). In this context, the partial observation information available to the agent does not strictly satisfy the Markov property. This paper uses multiple layers of historical observation information to solve this problem. Historical observations can be viewed as a time series, and time-sensitive networks are employed to extract the temporal information embedded within the observations. In addition, the reward function is optimized to facilitate the faster learning of the agent in the jammer sweep environment. Airborne light detection and ranging (LiDAR) data are increasingly used in various fields such as topographic mapping, urban planning, and emergency management. A necessary processing step in the application of airborne LiDAR data is the elimination of mismatch errors. This paper proposes a new method for airborne LiDAR strip adjustment based on point clouds with planar neighborhoods; this method is intended to eliminate errors in airborne LiDAR point clouds. Initially, standard pre-processing tasks such as denoising, ground separation, and resampling are performed on the airborne LiDAR point clouds. Subsequently, this paper introduces a unique approach to extract point clouds with planar neighborhoods which is designed to enhance the registration accuracy of the iterative closest point (ICP) algorithm within the context of airborne LiDAR point clouds. Following the registration of the point clouds using the ICP algorithm, tie points are extracted via a point-to-plane projection method. Finally, a strip adjustment calculation is executed using the extracted tie points, in accordance with the strip adjustment equation for airborne LiDAR point clouds that was derived in this study. Three sets of airborne LiDAR point cloud data were utilized in the experiment outlined in this paper. The results indicate that the proposed strip adjustment method can effectively eliminate mismatch errors in airborne LiDAR point clouds, achieving a registration accuracy and absolute accuracy of 0.05 m. Studies have indicated that the decrease in the extent of Arctic sea ice in recent years has had a significant impact on the Arctic ecosystem and global climate. In order to understand the evolution of sea ice, it is becoming increasingly imperative to have continuous observations of Arctic-wide sea ice with high spatial resolution. Passive microwave sensors have the benefit of being less susceptible to weather, wider coverage, and higher temporal resolution. However, it is challenging to retrieve accurate parameters of sea ice due to the low spatial resolution of passive microwave images. Therefore, improving the spatial resolution of passive microwave images is beneficial for reducing the uncertainty of sea ice parameters. In this paper, four competitive multi-image super-resolution (MISR) networks are selected to explore the applicability of the networks on multi-frequency Advanced Microwave Scanning Radiometer 2 (AMSR2) images of Arctic sea ice. The upsampling factor is set to 4 in the experiment. Firstly, the optimal input lengths of the image sequence for the four MISR networks are found, and then the best network on different frequency band images is further identified. Furthermore, some factors, including seasons, sea ice motion, and polarization mode of images, that may affect the super-resolution (SR) results are analyzed. The experimental results indicate that utilizing images from winter yields superior SR results. Conversely, SR results are the worst during summer across all four MISR networks, exhibiting the largest difference in PSNR of 4.48 dB. Additionally, the SR performance is observed to be better for images with smaller magnitudes of sea ice motion compared to those with larger motions, with the maximum PSNR difference of 2.04 dB. Finally, the SR results for vertically polarized images surpass those for horizontally polarized images, showcasing an average advantage of 4.02 dB in PSNR and 0.0061 in SSIM. In summary, valuable suggestions for selecting MISR models for passive microwave images of Arctic sea ice at different frequency bands are offered in this paper. The bowhead whale is a vital component of the maritime environment. Using deep learning techniques to recognize bowhead whales accurately and efficiently is crucial for their protection. Marine acoustic remote sensing technology is currently an important method to recognize bowhead whales. Adaptive SWT is used to extract the acoustic features of bowhead whales. The CNN-LSTM deep learning model was constructed to recognize bowhead whale voices. Compared to STFT, the adaptive SWT used in this study raises the SCR for the stationary and nonstationary bowhead whale whistles by 88.20% and 92.05%, respectively. Ten-fold cross-validation yields an average recognition accuracy of 92.85%. The method efficiency of this work was further confirmed by the consistency found in the Beaufort Sea recognition results and the fisheries ecological study. The gravity wave produced by typhoons has been an essential subject of study that concerns numerous researchers. The damage to human beings and infrastructure in coastal regions caused by typhoon disasters annually is very severe, and analyzing gravity wave variation is a reliable approach to research typhoons. High-frequency surface wave radar (HFSWR) as an over-the-horizon radar can achieve real-time monitoring of an extensive sea area and space. This paper derived the gravity wave perturbation spectrum by handling high-frequency surface wave radar data during typhoons. The gravity wave spectrum data were examined by applying the chaos examination approaches of the Lyapunov exponent and phase-space reconstruction to the gravity wave spectrum data after processing and extraction. The reconstructed phase space had a specific shape in a certain direction, with the maximum Lyapunov exponent greater than zero. The gravity wave spectrum data are suggested to have chaotic properties through two chaos examination approaches. This paper demonstrated that the gravity waves observed by a radar have chaotic properties through the measurement data of HFSWR. While the chaotic properties suggest that observed gravity wave data are predictable in the short term, they are unpredictable in the long term. Remote sensing technology has become a popular tool for crop classification, but it faces challenges in accurately identifying crops in areas with fragmented land plots and complex planting structures. To address this issue, we propose an improved method for crop identification in high-resolution remote sensing images, achieved by modifying the DeepLab V3+ semantic segmentation network. In this paper, the typical crop area in the Jianghuai watershed is taken as the experimental area, and Gaofen-2 satellite images with high spatial resolutions are used as the data source. Based on the original DeepLab V3+ model, CI and OSAVI vegetation indices are added to the input layers, and MobileNet V2 is used as the backbone network. Meanwhile, the upper sampling layer of the network is added, and the attention mechanism is added to the ASPP and the upper sampling layers. The accuracy verification of the identification results shows that the MIoU and PA of this model in the test set reach 85.63% and 95.30%, the IoU and F1_Score of wheat are 93.76% and 96.78%, and the IoU and F1_Score of rape are 74.24% and 85.51%, respectively. The identification accuracy of this model is significantly better than that of the original DeepLab V3+ model and other related models. The proposed method in this paper can accurately extract the distribution information of wheat and rape from high-resolution remote sensing images. Recently, synthetic aperture radar (SAR) target detection algorithms based on Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN) have received increasing attention. However, the large amount of computation required burdens the real-time detection of SAR ship targets on resource-limited and power-constrained satellite-based platforms. In this paper, we propose a hardware-aware model speed-up method for single-stage SAR ship targets detection tasks, oriented towards the most widely used hardware for neural network computing—Graphic Processing Unit (GPU). We first analyze the process by which the task of detection is executed on GPUs and propose two strategies according to this process. Firstly, in order to speed up the execution of the model on a GPU, we propose SAR-aware model quantification to allow the original model to be stored and computed in a low-precision format. Next, to ensure the loss of accuracy is negligible after the acceleration and compression process, precision-aware scheduling is used to filter out layers that are not suitable for quantification and store and execute them in a high-precision mode. Trained on the dataset HRSID, the effectiveness of this model speed-up algorithm was demonstrated by compressing four different sizes of models (yolov5n, yolov5s, yolov5m, yolov5l). The experimental results show that the detection speeds of yolov5n, yolov5s, yolov5m, and yolov5l can reach 234.7785 fps, 212.8341 fps, 165.6523 fps, and 139.8758 fps on the NVIDIA AGX Xavier development board with negligible loss of accuracy, which is 1.230 times, 1.469 times, 1.955 times, and 2.448 times faster than the original before the use of this method, respectively. Mosaicking is a crucial step in the application of remote sensing images. The amount of remote sensing image data has grown rapidly, along with the expansion of observed areas and increased image resolution. As a result, traditional serial mosaicking techniques are facing significant challenges. In recent times, various studies have utilized high-performance computing to hasten image mosaicking and attain favorable outcomes. Nevertheless, the current research only accelerates mosaicking through external technology, without optimizing from the perspective of algorithm flow, which introduces unnecessary data I/O and slows down the mosaicking. This paper introduces a rapid parallel remote sensing image mosaicking algorithm utilizing read filtering. To begin with, the target images are divided into blocks and stored in a distributed file system. Subsequently, the image blocks are read and filtered based on a designated input format. Finally, the overlapping and non-overlapping areas are read and processed asynchronously, reducing the data I/O and computing overhead, thereby improving the efficiency of parallel computing. The experiments indicate that the mosaicking algorithm introduced in this paper enhances throughput and speedup by an average of 1.38 MB/S and 0.87 relative to the current techniques, respectively, concerning various datasets and cores. This paper proposes an information enhancement network based on self-supervised learning (SEL-Net) for runway area detection. During the self-supervised learning phase, the distinctive attributes of PolSAR multi-channel data are fully harnessed to enhance the generated pretrained model's focus on airport runway areas. During the detection phase, this paper presents an improved U-Net detection network. Edge Feature Extraction Modules (EEM) are integrated into the encoder and skip connection sections, while Semantic Information Transmission Modules (STM) are embedded into the decoder section. Furthermore, improvements have been applied to the network's upsampling and downsampling architectures. The Sentinel-1 imaging radar mission provides a short revisit-time, continuous all-weather, and day-and-night imagery at the C-band, which brings opportunities for the dynamic extraction of lake water areas. For wetland-type lakes, it is difficult to distinguish between the water, submerged plants, and mudflats at the edge of a lake, which leads to difficulty in recognizing the water edge of a lake and affects the accuracy of lake water area extraction. In this paper, a water area extraction and water level prediction algorithm based on Sentinel-1 dual-polarization data decomposition is proposed to solve the problem. We can accurately extract lake water through generalized Stokes polarization decomposition. At the same time, we can verify the accuracy of water area extraction by establishing the water area and in situ water level elevation (A–E) relationship, and predicting the water level according to the calculated water area. In this study, dual-polarization Sentinel-1 time series SAR data covering the Dongting Lake wetland from 2018 to 2022 are used to verify the proposed water area extraction algorithm and establish the A–E relationship of the East Dongting Lake basin. The results show that the generalized Stokes decomposition parameters are very sensitive to the water boundary, and the R2 of the water area and the water level can reach 0.98 by using the piecewise linear function. It confirms the accuracy of the water area inversion, which is of extremely important significance for the high-precision monitoring of the water area of Dongting Lake with long-term Sentinel-1 data. Meanwhile, the predicted lake water level acquired using the A–E relationship established in this paper is compared with the field water level, with an RMSE of 0.4857 m and R2 of 0.9930. This means that the water level derived using the method in this study is quite compatible with the field observations, which provides a good idea for the water level monitoring of lakes lacking hydrological monitoring stations. Video image stabilization technology is a crucial foundation for applications such as video image target identification, monitoring, and tracking. Satellite video covers a wide range of areas with complex and similar types of objects on the ground and diverse video types. However, currently, there is a lack of a general high-precision satellite video stabilization method (VSM) that can be applied to different land cover types and imaging modes. This paper proposes a high-precision VSM based on the ED-RANSAC, an error elimination operator constrained by Euclidean distance. Furthermore, a set of accuracy evaluation methods to ensure the reliability of video stabilization are sorted out. This paper conducted video stabilization experiments using optical video data from the Jilin-01 satellite and airborne SAR video data. Under the precision evaluation criteria proposed in this paper, the optical satellite video achieved inter-frame stabilization accuracy of better than 0.15 pixels in different test areas. The overall stabilization accuracy was better than 0.15 pixels. Similarly, the SAR video achieved inter-frame stabilization accuracy better than 0.3 pixels, and the overall stabilization accuracy was better than 0.3 pixels. A rich and effective dataset is an important foundation for the development of AI algorithms, and the quantity and quality of the dataset determine the upper limit level of the algorithms. For aerospace remote sensing datasets, due to the high cost of data collection and susceptibility to meteorological and airway conditions, the existing datasets have two problems: firstly, the number of datasets is obviously insufficient, and, secondly, there is large unevenness between different categories in datasets. One of the effective solutions is to use neural networks to generate fake data by learning from real data, but existing methods still find difficulty in generating remote sensing sample images with good texture detail and geometric distortion. To address the shortcomings of existing image generation algorithms, this paper proposes a gradient structure information-guided attention generative adversarial network (SGA-GAN) for remote sensing image generation, which contains two innovative initiatives: on the one hand, a learnable gradient structure information extraction branch network can be added to the generator network to obtain complex structural information in the sample image, thus alleviating the distortion of the sample geometric structure in remote sensing image generation; on the other hand, a multidimensional self-attention feature selection module is proposed to further improve the quality of the generated remote sensing images by connecting cross-attentive modules as well as spatial and channel attention modules in series to guide the generator to better utilize global information. The algorithm proposed in this paper outperformed other methods, such as StyleGAN-XL and FastGAN, in both the qualitative and quantitative evaluation, whereby the FID on the DOTA dataset decreased by 23.927 and the IS was improved by 2.351. The comparison experiments show that the method proposed in this paper can generate more realistic sample images, and images generated by this method can improve object detection metrics by increasing the number of single-category datasets and the number of targets in fewer categories in multi-category datasets, which means it can be effectively used in the field of intelligent processing of remote sensing images. The pixels of remote images often contain more than one distinct material (mixed pixels), and so their spectra are characterized by a mixture of spectral signals. Since 1971, a shared effort has enabled the development of techniques for retrieving information from mixed pixels. The most analyzed, implemented, and employed procedure is spectral unmixing. Among the extensive literature on the spectral unmixing, nineteen reviews were identified, and each highlighted the many shortcomings of spatial validation. Although an overview of the approaches used to spatially validate could be very helpful in overcoming its shortcomings, a review of them was never provided. Therefore, this systematic review provides an updated overview of the approaches used, analyzing the papers that were published in 2022, 2021, and 2020, and a dated overview, analyzing the papers that were published not only in 2011 and 2010, but also in 1996 and 1995. The key criterion is that the results of the spectral unmixing were spatially validated. The Web of Science and Scopus databases were searched, using all the names that were assigned to spectral unmixing as keywords. A total of 454 eligible papers were included in this systematic review. Their analysis revealed that six key issues in spatial validation were considered and differently addressed: the number of validated endmembers; sample sizes and sampling designs of the reference data; sources of the reference data; the creation of reference fractional abundance maps; the validation of the reference data with other reference data; the minimization and evaluation of the errors in co-localization and spatial resampling. Since addressing these key issues enabled the authors to overcome some of the shortcomings of spatial validation, it is recommended that all these key issues be addressed together. However, few authors addressed all the key issues together, and many authors did not specify the spatial validation approach used or did not adequately explain the methods employed. In the era of the first Industrial Revolution, many buildings were built with red bricks, and the heritage buildings built at that time are more than 100 years old. In these old heritage buildings, damage is bound to occur due to chemical and physical effects. Technologies such as automatic damage detection can effectively manage damage, but they can be affected by other categories present in heritage buildings. Therefore, this paper proposes a CNN algorithm that can automatically detect cracks and damage that occur in heritage buildings, as well as multi-label classification, such as doors, windows, arches, artwork, brick walls, stonewalls, and vents. A total of 2400 thermal infrared images are collected for 8 categories and automatic classification was performed using the CNN algorithm. The average precision and average sensitivity for the eight categories of heritage buildings are 97.72% and 97.43%, respectively. When it comes to forest management and protection, knowledge is key. Therefore, forest mapping is crucial to obtain the required knowledge towards profitable resource exploitation and increased resilience against wildfires. Within this context, this paper presents a literature review on tree classification and segmentation using data acquired by unmanned aerial vehicles, with special focus on the last decade (2013–2023). The latest research trends in this field are presented and analyzed in two main vectors, namely: (1) data, where used sensors and data structures are resumed; and (2) methods, where remote sensing and data analysis methods are described, with particular focus on machine learning approaches. The study and review methodology filtered 979 papers, which were then screened, resulting in the 144 works included in this paper. These are systematically analyzed and organized by year, keywords, purpose, sensors, and methods used, easily allowing the readers to have a wide, but at the same time detailed, view of the latest trends in automatic tree classification and segmentation using unmanned aerial vehicles. This review shows that image processing and machine learning techniques applied to forestry and segmentation and classification tasks are focused on improving the accuracy and interpretability of the results by using multi-modal data, 3D information, and AI methods. Most works use RGB or multispectral cameras, or LiDAR scanners, individually. The objects presented in synthetic-aperture radar (SAR) images are the products of the joint actions of ground objects and SAR sensors in specific geospatial contexts. With the accumulation of massive time-domain SAR data, scholars have the opportunity to better understand ground-object targets and sensor systems, providing some useful feedback for SAR-data processing. Aiming at normalized and low-cost SAR radiometric monitoring, this paper proposes a new hyper-pixel concept for handling multi-pixel ensembles of semantic ground targets. The special hyper-pixel in this study refers to low-rise single-family residential areas, and its radiation reference is highly stable in the time domain when the other dimensions are fixed. The stability of its radiometric data can reach the level of 0.3 dB (1 σ), as verified by the multi-temporal data from Sentinel-1. A comparison with tropical-rainforest data verified its availability for SAR radiometric monitoring, and possible radiation variations and radiation-intensity shifts in the Sentinel-1B SAR products ere experimentally monitored. In this paper, the effects of seasonal climate and of the relative geometrical states observed on the intensity of the hyper-pixel's radiation are investigated. Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) can provide rich feature information under all-weather and day-night conditions because it is not affected by climatic conditions. However, multiplicative speckle noise exists in SAR images, which makes it difficult to accurately identify some fuzzy targets in SAR images, such as roads and rivers, during semantic segmentation. This paper proposes an improved Deeplabv3+ network that can be effectively applied to the semantic segmentation task of SAR images. Firstly, this paper added the attention mechanism and, combined with the idea of an image pyramid, proposed the Feature Post-Processing Module (FPPM) to post-process the network output feature map, obtain better fine image features, and solve the problem of fuzzy texture and spectral features of SAR images. Compared to the original Deeplabv3+ network, the segmentation accuracy has been improved by 3.64% and mIoU improved by 1.09%. Secondly, to solve the problems of limited SAR image data and an unbalanced sample, this paper used the focal loss function to improve the backbone function of the network, which increased the mIoU by 1.01%. Finally, the Atrous Spatial Pyramid Pooling (ASPP) module was improved and the 3 × 3 void convolution in ASPP was decomposed into 2D, which can maintain the void ratio and effectively reduce the calculation amount of the module, shorten the training time by 19 ms and improve the semantic segmentation effect. At present, some related studies on semantic segmentation are becoming complicated, adding a lot of feature layers and various jump splicing to improve the level of refined segmentation, which often requires a large number of parameters to ensure a better segmentation effect. When faced with lightweight tasks, such as sea and land segmentation, the modeling capabilities of these models far exceed the complexity of the task, and reducing the size of the model can easily weaken the original effect of the model. In response to this problem, this paper proposes a U-net optimization structure combining Atrous Spatial Pyramid Pooling (ASPP) and FReLU, namely ACU-Net. ACU-Net replaces the two-layer continuous convolution in the feature extraction part of U-Net with a lightweight ASPP module, retains the symmetric U-shaped structure of the original U-Net structure, and splices the output of the ASPP module with the upsampling part. Use FReLU to improve the modeling ability between pixels, and at the same time cooperate with the attention mechanism to improve the perception ability and receptive field of the network, reduce the training difficulty of the model, and fully tap the hidden information of the samples to capture more effective features. The experimental results show that the ACU-Net in this paper surpasses the reduced U-Net and its optimized improved network U-Net++ in terms of segmentation accuracy and IoU with a smaller volume. Transmission line detection is the basic task of using UAVs for transmission line inspection and other related tasks. However, the detection results based on traditional methods are vulnerable to noise, and the results may not meet the requirements. The deep learning method based on segmentation may cause a lack of vector information and cannot be applied to subsequent high-level tasks, such as distance estimation, location, and so on. In this paper, the characteristics of transmission lines in UAV images are summarized and utilized, and a lightweight powerline detection network is proposed. In addition, due to the reason that powerlines often run through the whole image and are sparse compared to the background, the FPN structure with Hough transform and the neck structure with multi-scale output are introduced. The former can make better use of edge information in a deep neural network as well as reduce the training time. The latter can reduce the error caused by the imbalance between positive and negative samples, make it easier to detect the lines running through the whole image, and finally improve the network performance. This paper also constructs a powerline detection dataset. While the net this paper proposes can achieve real-time detection, the f-score of the detection dataset reaches 85.6%. For large-scale 3D building reconstruction, there have been several approaches to utilizing multi-view satellite imagery to produce a digital surface model (DSM) for height information and extracting building footprints for contour information. However, limited by satellite resolutions and viewing angles, the corresponding DSM and building footprints are sometimes of a low accuracy, thus generating low-accuracy building models. Though some recent studies have added GIS data to refine the contour of the building footprints, the registration errors between the GIS data and satellite images are not considered. Since OpenStreetMap (OSM) provides a high level of precision and complete building polygons in most cities worldwide, this paper proposes an automatic single building reconstruction method that utilizes a DSM from high-resolution satellite stereos, as well as building footprints from OSM. The core algorithm accurately registers the building polygons from OSM with the rasterized height information from the DSM. To achieve this goal, this paper proposes a two-step "coarse-to-fine registration" algorithm, with both steps being formulated into the optimization of energy functions. The coarse registration is optimized by separately moving the OSM polygons at fixed steps with the constraints of a boundary gradient, an interior elevation mean, and variance. Given the initial solution of the coarse registration, the fine registration is optimized by a genetic algorithm to compute the accurate translations and rotations between the DSM and OSM. Experiments performed in the Beijing/Shanghai region show that the proposed method can significantly improve the IoU (intersection over union) of the registration results by 69.8%/26.2%, the precision by 41.0%/15.5%, the recall by 41.0%/16.0%, and the F1-score by 42.7%/15.8%. For the registration, the method can reduce the translation errors by 4.656 m/2.815 m, as well as the rotation errors by 0.538°/0.228°, which indicates its great potential in smart 3D applications. Due to the limitation of optical images that their waves cannot penetrate clouds, such images always suffer from cloud contamination, which causes missing information and limitations for subsequent agricultural applications, among others. Synthetic aperture radar (SAR) is able to provide surface information for all times and all weather. Therefore, translating SAR or fusing SAR and optical images to obtain cloud-free optical-like images are ideal ways to solve the cloud contamination issue. In this paper, we investigate the existing literature and provides two kinds of taxonomies, one based on the type of input and the other on the method used. Meanwhile, in this paper, we analyze the advantages and disadvantages while using different data as input. Obtaining accurate and timely crop area information is crucial for crop yield estimates and food security. Because most existing crop mapping models based on remote sensing data have poor generalizability, they cannot be rapidly deployed for crop identification tasks in different regions. Based on a priori knowledge of phenology, we designed an off-center Bayesian deep learning remote sensing crop classification method that can highlight phenological features, combined with an attention mechanism and residual connectivity. In this paper, we first optimize the input image and input features based on a phenology analysis. Then, a convolutional neural network (CNN), recurrent neural network (RNN), and random forest classifier (RFC) were built based on farm data in northeastern Inner Mongolia and applied to perform comparisons with the method proposed here. Then, classification tests were performed on soybean, maize, and rice from four measurement areas in northeastern China to verify the accuracy of the above methods. To further explore the reliability of the method proposed in this paper, an uncertainty analysis was conducted by Bayesian deep learning to analyze the model's learning process and model structure for interpretability. Finally, statistical data collected in Suibin County, Heilongjiang Province, over many years, and Shandong Province in 2020 were used as reference data to verify the applicability of the methods. The experimental results show that the classification accuracy of the three crops reached 90.73% overall and the average F1 and IOU were 89.57% and 81.48%, respectively. Dynamic detection of forest change is the fundamental method of monitoring forest resources and an essential means of preserving the accuracy and timeliness of forest land resource data. This study focuses on a deep learning-based method for dynamic forest change detection using Sentinel-2 satellite data, especially within mountainous areas. First, the performance of various deep learning models (U-Net++, U-Net, LinkNet, DeepLabV3+, and STANet) and various loss functions (CrossEntropyLoss(CELoss), DiceLoss, FocalLoss, and their combinations) are compared on a self-made dataset. Next, the best model and loss function is used to predict the annual forest change in Hunan Province from 2017 to 2021, and the detection results are evaluated in 12 sample areas. Finally, forest changes are detected in Sentinel-2 images for each quarter of 2017–2021. In addition, a dynamic detection map of forest change in Hunan Province from 2017 to 2021 is drawn. The results reveal that the U-Net++ model and the CELoss performed the best on the self-made dataset, with a Precision of 0.795, a Recall of 0.748, and an F1-score of 0.771. The results of annual and quarterly forest change detection were consistent with the changes in the Sentinel-2 images with accurate boundaries. This result demonstrates the high practicality and generalizability of the method used in this paper. This paper achieves a rapid and accurate extraction of multi-temporal Sentinel-2 image forest change areas based on the U-Net++ model, which can be used as a benchmark for future large territorial areas monitoring and management of forest resources. To assess the current and future utility of low-light satellite data, this paper reviewed 1630 papers, presentations, theses, and dissertations using day/night band (DNB) data from the visible infrared imaging radiometer suite (VIIRS) imager and its precursor, the Defense Meteorological Satellite Program's Operational Linescan system (DMSP-OLS) series from the 1970s through to the year 2021. By the way of a categorical system, we take inventory of the myriad applications of these data to a wide variety of disciplines, ranging from social to natural science, oceans to atmosphere, and biology to civil engineering. Papers from social science fields dominate this spectrum, pointing to the unique aspect of low-light observations in their ability to observe aspects of human civilization at night. We also look at the stratification between applications using natural vs. artificial light, the use of moonlight, and the context of the key earth climate system elements. In light of these findings, a discussion is provided for the future of low-light measurements. Since the start of the VIIRS series, there has been a rapid increase in interest in the use of these data for numerous fields, pointing towards a nascent field centered on the nocturnal earth system science that is enabled by these novel and newly quantifiable measurements. This paper aims to address the limitations of the distribution number and uniformity of Continuously Operating Reference Stations (CORS) and their impact on the reliability of inverting regional groundwater storage (GWS) based on Green's function method and using global navigation satellite system (GNSS) data. A fusion method on the inversion of regional GWS changes from GNSS and the Gravity Recovery and Climate Experiment (GRACE) was proposed in this paper. Taking the Shaanxi–Gansu–Ningxia (SGN) region as an example, the in situ groundwater level data from ten CORS stations and eight wells were used for test analyses. In this paper, an atmospheric pressure model from the European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts (ECMWF), a global land data assimilation system (GLDAS), a WaterGAP global hydrology model (WGHM), and mean sea level anomaly (MSLA) data were used to quantitatively monitor the influence of vertical deformation caused by non-tidal environmental load. After deducing these loading deformations from the filtered time series of non-linear monthly geodetic height from the GNSS, the GWS changes in the SGN region from 2011 to 2014 were inverted. Meanwhile, the change in surface water storage from the GLDAS and WGHM models were removed from the terrestrial water storage (TWS) changes derived from GRACE. On this basis, the remove–restore theory in the Earth's gravity field was introduced to both fuse the inversion results and obtain the regional GWS changes based on the fusion method. The results showed the following: (1) The local characteristics from the fusion results were more prominent than those of GRACE on the spatial scale, such as in the southwest and northeast in the study area. In addition, the fusion results were more uniform than those from GNSS, especially for the sparse and missing areas in which CORS stations were located, and the local effect was weakened. (2) On the time scale, compared with GRACE, the trends in GWS changes obtained from the fusion method and from GNSS inversion were roughly the same as the in situ groundwater level changes. (3) For the in situ groundwater wells "6105010031" and "6101260010", the correlation coefficients of the fusion result were 0.53 and 0.56, respectively. The accuracy of the fusion method was slightly higher than that from GNSS, which indicates that the fusion method may be more effective for areas where CORS stations are missing or sparsely distributed. Millimeter wave (MMW) radar simultaneous localization and mapping (SLAM) technology is an emerging technology in a tunnel vehicle accident rescue scene. It is a powerful tool for statistic-trapped vehicle detection with limited vision caused by darkness, heat, and smoke. A variety of SLAM frameworks have been proven to be able to obtain 3-degree-of-freedom (3-dof) pose estimation results using 2-dimention (2D) MMW radar in open space. In the application of millimeter wave radar for pose estimation and mapping in a closed environment, closed space structures and artificial targets together constitute high-intensity multi-path scattering measurement data, leading to radar false detections. Radar false detections caused by multi-path scattering are generally considered to be detrimental to radar applications, such as multi-target tracking. However, few studies analyze the mechanism of multi-path effects on radar SLAM, especially in closed spaces. In order to address the problem, this paper first presents a radar multi-path scattering theory to study the generation mechanism difference of false and radar true detection and their influences on radar SLAM 2D pose estimation and mapping in tunnel. According to the scattering mechanism differences on SLAM, a radar azimuth scattering angle signature is proposed, which allows distinguishing radar false detections from real ones. This is useful in avoiding using unreliable radar false detections to solve a radar SLAM problem. In addition, two different radar false detection revising methods combined with the CSM (correlative scan matching) algorithm are proposed in this paper. The HTMR-CSM (hard-threshold-multi-path-revised correlative scan matching) algorithm only depends on a hard threshold of radar azimuth scattering angle signature to eliminate all radar false detections as much as possible before CSM. Another idea is the STMR-CSM (soft-threshold-multi-path-revised correlative scan matching) algorithm. All the radar false detections are classified according to the distribution model of radar azimuth accuracy, and part of more reliable radar false detections are retained to estimate a more accurate pose. All the ideas in this paper are validated by using an MMW 2D radar mounted on a rail-guided robot in a tunnel. Two cars on fire were set as the targets. Due to the limited penetration of visible bands, optical remote sensing images are inevitably contaminated by clouds. Therefore, cloud detection or cloud mask products for optical image processing is a very important step. Compared with conventional optical remote sensing satellites (such as Landsat series and Sentinel-2), sustainable development science Satellite-1 (SDGSAT-1) multi-spectral imager (MII) lacks a short-wave infrared (SWIR) band that can be used to effectively distinguish cloud and snow. To solve the above problems, a cloud detection method based on spectral and gradient features (SGF) for SDGSAT-1 multispectral images is proposed in this paper. According to the differences in spectral features between cloud and other ground objects, the method combines four features, namely, brightness, normalized difference water index (NDWI), normalized difference vegetation index (NDVI), and haze-optimized transformation (HOT) to distinguish cloud and most ground objects. Meanwhile, in order to adapt to different environments, the dynamic threshold using Otsu's method is adopted. In addition, it is worth mentioning that gradient features are used to distinguish cloud and snow in this paper. With the test of SDGSAT-1 multispectral images and comparison experiments, the results show that SGF has excellent performance. After the revival of deep learning in computer vision in 2012, SAR ship detection comes into the deep learning era too. The deep learning-based computer vision algorithms can work in an end-to-end pipeline, without the need of designing features manually, and they have amazing performance. As a result, it is also used to detect ships in SAR images. The beginning of this direction is the paper we published in 2017BIGSARDATA, in which the first dataset SSDD was used and shared with peers. Since then, lots of researchers focus their attention on this field. In this paper, we analyze the past, present, and future of the deep learning-based ship detection algorithms in SAR images. In the past section, we analyze the difference between traditional CFAR (constant false alarm rate) based and deep learning-based detectors through theory and experiment. The traditional method is unsupervised while the deep learning is strongly supervised, and their performance varies several times. In the present part, we analyze the 177 published papers about SAR ship detection. We highlight the dataset, algorithm, performance, deep learning framework, country, timeline, etc. After that, we introduce the use of single-stage, two-stage, anchor-free, train from scratch, oriented bounding box, multi-scale, and real-time detectors in detail in the 177 papers. The advantages and disadvantages of speed and accuracy are also analyzed. In the future part, we list the problem and direction of this field. We can find that, in the past five years, the AP50 has boosted from 78.8% in 2017 to 97.8 % in 2022 on SSDD. Additionally, we think that researchers should design algorithms according to the specific characteristics of SAR images. What we should do next is to bridge the gap between SAR ship detection and computer vision by merging the small datasets into a large one and formulating corresponding standards and benchmarks. Accurately extracting buildings is essential for urbanization rate statistics, urban planning, resource allocation, etc. The high-resolution remote sensing images contain rich building information, which provides an important data source for building extraction. However, the extreme abundance of building types with large differences in size, as well as the extreme complexity of the background environment, result in the accurate extraction of spatial details of multi-scale buildings, which remains a difficult problem worth studying. To this end, this study selects the representative Xinjiang Tumxuk urban area as the study area. A building extraction network (SCA-Net) with feature highlighting, multi-scale sensing, and multi-level feature fusion is proposed, which includes Selective kernel spatial Feature Extraction (SFE), Contextual Information Aggregation (CIA), and Attentional Feature Fusion (AFF) modules. First, Selective kernel spatial Feature Extraction modules are used for cascading composition, highlighting information representation of features, and improving the feature extraction capability. Adding a Contextual Information Aggregation module enables the acquisition of multi-scale contextual information. The Attentional Feature Fusion module bridges the semantic gap between high-level and low-level features to achieve effective fusion between cross-level features. The classical U-Net, Segnet, Deeplab v3+, and HRNet v2 semantic segmentation models are compared on the self-built Tmsk and WHU building datasets. The experimental results show that the algorithm proposed in this paper can effectively extract multi-scale buildings in complex backgrounds with IoUs of 85.98% and 89.90% on the two datasets, respectively. The main task of remote sensing image target detection is to locate and classify the targets of interest in remote sensing images, which plays an important role in intelligence investigation, disaster relief, industrial application, and other fields. However, the targets in the remote sensing image scene have special problems such as special perspective, scale diversity, multi-direction, small targets, and high background complexity. In this paper, the YOLOv5 target detection algorithm is improved according to the above characteristics. Aiming at the problem of large target size span in remote sensing images, this paper uses K-Means++ clustering algorithm to eliminate the problem in which the original clustering algorithm is sensitive to initial position, noise, and outliers, and optimizes the instability caused by K-Means clustering to obtain preset anchor frames. Aiming at the redundancy of background information around the location of remote sensing image targets, the large number of small targets, and the denseness of targets, a double IoU-aware decoupling head (DDH) is introduced at the output end to replace the coupled yolo head, which eliminates the interference caused by different task sharing parameters. At the same time, the correlation between positioning accuracy and classification accuracy is improved by the IoU-aware method. The attention mechanism is introduced into the backbone network to optimize the detection and small target detection in complex backgrounds. The mAP of the improved YOLOv5 algorithm is improved by 9%, and the detection effect of small targets and dense targets is significantly improved. The airborne hyperspectral remote sensing systems (AHRSSs) acquire images with high spectral resolution, high spatial resolution, and high temporal dimension. While the AHRSS captures more detailed information from the terrain objects, the computational complexity of data processing is greatly increased. As an important application technology in the hyperspectral domain, anomaly detection (AD) processing must be real-time and high-precision in many cases, such as post-disaster rescue, military battlefield search, and natural disaster detection. In this paper, the real-time AD technology for the push-broom AHRSS is studied, the mathematical model is established, and a novel implementation framework is proposed. Firstly, the optimized kernel minimum noise fraction (OP-KMNF) transformation is employed to extract informative and discriminative features between the background and anomalies. Secondly, the Nyström method is introduced to reduce the computational complexity of OP-KMNF transformation by decomposing and extrapolating the sub-kernel matrix to estimate the eigenvector of the entire kernel matrix. Thirdly, the extracted features are transferred to hard disks for data storage. Then, taking the extracted features as input data, the background separation model-based CEM anomaly detector (BSM-CEMAD) is imported to detect anomalies. Finally, graphics processing unit (GPU) parallel computing is utilized in the Nyström-based OP-KMNF (NOP-KMNF) transformation and the BSM-CEMAD to improve the execution efficiency, and the real-time AD for the push-broom AHRSS could be realized. To test the feasibility of the implementation framework proposed in this paper, the experiment is carried out with the Airborne Multi-Modular Imaging Spectrometer (AMMIS) developed by the Shanghai Institute of Technical Physics as the data acquisition platform. The experimental results show that the proposed method outperforms many other state-of-the-art AD methods in anomalies detection and background suppression. Moreover, under the condition that the downlink data could retain most of the hyperspectral data information, the proposed method achieves real-time detection of pixel-level anomalies, with the initial delay not exceeding 1 s, the false alarm rate (FAR) less than 5%, and the true positive rate (TPR) close to 98%. Night-time vehicle detection plays a vital role due to the high incidence of abnormal events in our daily security field. However, existing studies mainly focus on vehicle detection in autonomous driving and traffic intersection scenes, but ignore urban scenes. There are vast differences between these scenes, such as viewpoint, position, illumination, etc. In this paper, the authors present a night-time vehicle detection dataset collected from urban scenes, named Vehicle Detection in Night-Time Urban Scene (VD-NUS). The VD-NUS dataset consists of more than 100 K challenging images, comprising a total of about 500 K labelled vehicles. This paper introduces a vehicle detection framework via an active auxiliary mechanism (AAM) to reduce the annotation workload. The proposed AAM framework can actively select the informative sample for annotation by estimating its uncertainty and locational instability. Furthermore, this paper proposes a computer-assisted detection module embedded in the AAM framework to help human annotators to rapidly and accurately label the selected data. Differencing digital terrain models (DTMs) generated from multitemporal airborne light detection and ranging (lidar) data provide accurate and detailed information about three-dimensional (3D) changes on the Earth. However, noticeable spurious errors along flight paths are often included in the differencing results, hindering the accurate analysis of the topographic changes. This paper proposes a new scalable method to alleviate the problematic systematic errors with a high degree of automation in consideration of the practical limitations raised when processing the rapidly increasing amount of large-scale lidar datasets. The proposed method focused on estimating the displacements caused by vertical positioning errors, which are the most critical error source, and adjusting the DTMs already produced as basic lidar products without access to the point cloud and raw data from the laser scanner. The feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed method were evaluated with experiments with county-level multitemporal airborne lidar datasets in Indiana, USA. The experimental results demonstrated that the proposed method could estimate the vertical displacement reasonably along the flight paths and improve the county-level lidar differencing results by reducing the problematic errors and increasing consistency across the flight paths. The improved differencing results presented in this paper are expected to provide more consistent information about topographic changes in Indiana. In addition, the proposed method can be a feasible solution to upcoming problems induced by rapidly increasing large-scale multitemporal lidar given recent active government-driven lidar data acquisition programs, such as the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) 3D Elevation Program (3DEP). The accuracy and rapidity of total iron content (TFE) analysis can accelerate iron ore production. Although the conventional TFE detection methods are accurate, its detection speed presents difficulties in meeting production requirements. Therefore, this paper proposes a method of TFE detection based on reflectance spectroscopy (wavelength range: 340–2500 nm) and remote sensing. Firstly, spectral experiments were conducted on iron ore using the HR SVC-1024 spectrometer to obtain spectral data for each sample. Then, the spectra were smoothed and dimensionally reduced by using wavelet transform and principal component analysis. To improve the detection accuracy of TFE, a two hidden layer extreme learning machine with variable neuron nodes based on an improved sparrow search algorithm and batch normalization optimization (MSSA-BNVTELM) is proposed. According to the experimental results, MSSA-BNVTELM exhibited superior detection accuracy in comparison to other algorithms. In addition, this research established a remote sensing detection model using Sentinel-2 data and MSSA-BNVTEM to detect the distribution of TFE in the mining area. The distribution of TFE in the mine area was plotted based on the detection results. Earthquake Disaster Assessment (EDA) plays a critical role in earthquake disaster prevention, evacuation, and rescue efforts. Deep learning (DL), which boasts advantages in image processing, signal recognition, and object detection, has facilitated scientific research in EDA. This paper analyses 204 articles through a systematic literature review to investigate the status quo, development, and challenges of DL for EDA. The paper first examines the distribution characteristics and trends of the two categories of EDA assessment objects, including earthquakes and secondary disasters as disaster objects, buildings, infrastructure, and areas as physical objects. Next, this study analyses the application distribution, advantages, and disadvantages of the three types of data (remote sensing data, seismic data, and social media data) mainly involved in these studies. Furthermore, the review identifies the characteristics and application of six commonly used DL models in EDA, including convolutional neural network (CNN), multi-layer perceptron (MLP), recurrent neural network (RNN), generative adversarial network (GAN), transfer learning (TL), and hybrid models. The paper also systematically details the application of DL for EDA at different times (i.e., pre-earthquake stage, during-earthquake stage, post-earthquake stage, and multi-stage). We find that the most extensive research in this field involves using CNNs for image classification to detect and assess building damage resulting from earthquakes. Finally, the paper discusses challenges related to training data and DL models, and identifies opportunities in new data sources, multimodal DL, and new concepts. In scenarios of indoor localization of mobile robots, Global Positioning System (GPS) signals are prone to loss due to interference from urban building environments and cannot meet the needs of robot localization. On the other hand, traditional indoor localization methods based on wireless signals such as Bluetooth and WiFi often require the deployment of multiple devices in advance, and these methods can only obtain distance information and are unable to obtain the attitude of the positioning target in space. This paper proposes a method for the indoor localization of mobile robots based on a depth camera. Firstly, we extracted ORB feature points from images captured by a depth camera and performed homogenization processing. Then, we performed feature matching between adjacent two frames of images, and the mismatched points are eliminated to improve the accuracy of feature matching. Finally, we used the Iterative Closest Point (ICP) algorithm to estimate the camera's pose, thus achieving the localization of mobile robots in indoor environments. In addition, an experimental evaluation was conducted on the TUM dataset of the Technical University of Munich to validate the feasibility of the proposed depth-camera-based indoor localization system for mobile robots. The experimental results show that the average localization accuracy of our algorithm on three datasets is 0.027 m, which can meet the needs of indoor localization for mobile robots.
