In hybrid AC/DC microgrid, interlinking converter (ILC) can balance power flow between AC and DC microgrid, thus stabilizing AC frequency and DC voltage in islanding mode. As a topology of ILC, modular multilevel interlinking converter (MMILC) has advantages of good harmonic characteristics, high quality waveforms and low switching loss. A two-stage droop control strategy for MMILC is proposed. Firstly, based on the energy fluctuation characteristics of the sub-module capacitance, a new unified droop characteristic of AC and DC side for MMILC is established. Then, a mathematical relation between DC voltage and equivalent sub-module capacitor voltage is given to adjust power reference according to deviation of dc voltage. Also the dead zone and an allowable minimum operation range of the droop characteristic are set. Finally, the control performance of MMILC in different load profiles and overload conditions are simulated. The simulation results show that the proposed two-stage droop control strategy of MMILC can automatically compensate the power to both AC/DC sides in different load profiles. Under overload conditions, MMILC can instantaneous block the active power transmission, which validates the correctness and availability of the control strategy.

In order to study the spread characteristics of virus droplets in the bus and predict the risk probability of airborne virus infecting passengers in the bus, a numerical model of the bus with the refrigeration and air conditioning on in summer is established based on the numerical simulation of computational fluid dynamics (CFD) in combination with the Wells-Riley equation. Through the analysis of the characteristics of the flow field in the bus in combination with the Lagrangian method, the spread process of the droplets produced by the cough of the virus carrier in the bus is calculated. The infection risk of virus-carrying droplets to the passengers in the bus in the four ventilation mades is analyzed. It is found that the longitudinal airflow in the bus is a key factor affecting the spread of droplets. Compared with the asymmetrically arranged circular air outlets, the longitudinal airflow in the bus can be reduced by the use of slit-type air outlets. Only 6% of passengers have a higher than 5% probability of contracting diseases in the bus with displacement ventilation, which is more effective in reducing the risk of droplet-borne infection. The research results can provide guidance for the structural design of bus air supply systems and reduce the risk of droplet-borne infections.

The High Intensity Heavy-ion Accelerator Facility (HIAF), currently under construction, is a complex machine that couples a Continuous Wave (CW) superconducting ion Linear accelerator (iLinac) with a high-energy synchrotron to produce various stable and radioactive intense beams with energies from MeV/u to GeV/u. The machine has a versatile operation mode which requires a high flexibility and reliability to the Machine Protection System (MPS). A customized and robust MPS is designed and developed to give the readiness of the machine for operation, to mitigate and analyze faults related to the relative damage potential. To get a high speed and have a high level of reliability, all interlock signal processing is processed on radiation-tolerant Field-Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGA) with triple or dual redundancy, as well as with a fail-safe design. By implementing a multiprocessing platform system-on-chip FPGA, the HIAF MPS can be tightly integrated with other systems to maximize availability pinpoint failures for operations, and give the postmortem analysis. This paper will describe the architecture of the interlocks linking the protection systems, the strategies to manage the complexity, the detailed components, and the interlock logic of the customized HIAF MPS, as well as the test and verification of the prototype. Rubidium and cesium are important strategic resources, and West Taijinar Salt Lake is rich in rubidium and cesium reserves, while the concentration is low and the relationship with coexisting potassium and magnesium ions is complex. In order to understand the evaporative enrichment and salt precipitation patterns of rare elements such as lithium, rubidium, cesium, and boron of the brine after potassium precipitation in West Taijinar Salt Lake, the 288.2 K isothermal evaporation experiment was carried out. The experimental results show that during the evaporation process at 288.2 K, the following salts precipitate from the brine after potassium crystallization: halite (NaCl), bischofite (MgCl2·6H2O), carnallite (KCl·MgCl2·6H2O), hexahydrite (MgSO4·6H2O), epsomite (MgSO4·7H2O), boric acid (H3BO3), and lithium sulfate monohydrate (Li2SO4·H2O). The concentrations of lithium and boron are significantly enriched, the content of Li+ was enriched from 1.7 g/L to 5.63 g/L, and the B2O3 content was enriched from 6.72 g/L to 50.78 g/L. The isomorphism phenomenon of Rb+, Cs+, and K+ makes Rb+ and Cs+ enter potassium ore to form solid solution-type carnallite ((K, Rb)MgCl3·6H2O, (K, Cs)MgCl3·6H2O)) and reduce the content of brine. This study provides data support for the development and comprehensive utilization of lithium, boron, rubidium, and cesium resources in West Taijinar Salt Lake. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

With the implementation of the rural revitalization strategy, rural e-commerce has become an essential means of promoting rural economic development and increasing farmers' income. However, the development of rural e-commerce varies significantly among different regions. Based on the perspective of "three rural areas", this study constructs a rural e-commerce development capability measurement system centered on readiness, utilization, and influence. It adopts a panel vector autoregressive model to identify key influencing factors. Through the exploratory spatiotemporal data analysis (ESTDA) method, the spatiotemporal dynamic characteristics of rural e-commerce development capacity and the interaction relationship between provinces and regions are revealed. The study shows that (1) China's rural e-commerce development capacity gained significant improvement from 2011 to 2022, but provincial polarization is evident, with eastern and central provinces leading and western and marginal provinces lagging; the rural e-commerce development capacity shows a decreasing dynamic pattern from the east to the central and western to the northeastern regions. (2) The eastern region has active rural e-commerce development, stable spatial structure, and provincial solid correlation, which creates a significant linkage effect. The western region shows strong internal spatial dependence, the district cross-regional interaction and linkage effect are beginning to emerge, and the northeastern low-development provinces are challenging to leap to a higher level in the short term; (3) the spatiotemporal interaction network of rural e-commerce development among several provinces and regions shows a positive synergistic relationship, and it is an essential consideration for the high-quality development of rural e-commerce to strengthen regional cooperation and realize complementary advantages. The study results provide a theoretical basis for formulating differentiated regional e-commerce development policies, which can help enhance regional synergy and narrow the regional development gap. Non-destructive measurements of low-intensity charged particle beams are particularly challenging for beam diagnostics. At the Heavy Ion Accelerator Facility in Lanzhou (HIRFL), beams with weak currents below 1 µA are often provided for experiments. The detection of such low beam current is below the threshold of typical standard beam current transformers. Therefore, a low-intensity monitoring system is developed by using a sensitive capacitive pick-up (PU) and low-noise electronics. This device measures beam currents by digitally analyzing the amplitude of the PU signals using a homodyne detection scheme. During lab tests, the amplitude nonlinearity is <0.5% in the operational range of 1 nA–45 µA and the amplitude resolution is 0.94 nA. At present, four measurement systems for low beam currents are installed at HIRFL for the monitoring of standard operating conditions with low beam currents below 1 µA. After an absolute calibration with a Faraday cup, it can be used for accurate beam intensity measurement with a current resolution of about 1 nA. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Bipolar membranes (BPMs) have emerged as a promising solution for mitigating CO2 losses, salt precipitation and high maintenance costs associated with the commonly used anion‐exchange membrane electrode assembly for CO2 reduction reaction (CO2RR). However, the industrial implementation of BPM‐based zero‐gap electrolyzer is hampered by the poor CO2RR performance, largely attributed to the local acidic environment. Here, we report a backbone engineering strategy to improve the CO2RR performance of molecular catalysts in BPM‐based zero‐gap electrolyzers by covalently grafting cobalt tetraaminophthalocyanine onto a positively charged polyfluorene backbone (PF‐CoTAPc). PF‐CoTAPc shows a high acid tolerance in BPM electrode assembly (BPMEA), achieving a high FE of 82.6 % for CO at 100 mA/cm2 and a high CO2 utilization efficiency of 87.8 %. Notably, the CO2RR selectivity, carbon utilization efficiency and long‐term stability of PF‐CoTAPc in BPMEA outperform reported BPM systems. We attribute the enhancement to the stable cationic shield in the double layer and suppression of proton migration, ultimately inhibiting the undesired hydrogen evolution and improving the CO2RR selectivity. Techno‐economic analysis shows the least energy consumption (957 kJ/mol) for the PF‐CoTAPc catalyst in BPMEA.
