The cytoplasmic region of the Na+/H+ exchanger fusion protein can interact with the heat shock proteins (hsp70) and the bacterial form of the heat shock proteins, dnaK to form complexes in the presence of ATP. Hsp70 act as chaperons for a number of mammalian proteins. The Na+/H+ exchanger is widely distributed in mammalian cells and is involved in a variety of functions such as pH regulation, cell volume regulation and cell proliferation. There are isoforms of the exchanger that are specific to different tissues.

Hydatid cyst is endemic in central parts of India, caused by infection with Echinococcus granulosus larva leading to development of cysts. Liver is most commonly involved organ. Isolated splenic hydatidosis is a very rare entity and only small clinical series or case reports have addressed the issue of splenic echinococcosis. We, hereby, present a case of an isolated giant hydatid cyst in spleen of a 30-year-old lady. Splenectomy was done and the diagnosis was confirmed on histopathological examination. The article describes the case of a 60-year-old woman with recurrent dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans. The tumor is well-demarcated and composed of uniform population of slender fibroblasts arranged in a storiform pattern and infiltrating subcutaneous fat. To remove the tumor, Mohs micrographic surgery is suggested.

An Industrial Robot is used in industries for transporting, assembly, manufacturing and many more applications. Industrial robots include manufacturing robots, material handling robots, robotic arm and manipulator, mobile robots, assembly robots, etc. In this paper, Mobile Robots are further being discussed. One of the tools that a Mobile Robot uses to function is all with the help of Artificial Intelligence (AI) for performing several tasks autonomously. AI works as the intelligence of the human body for robots. AI is the technology that made it possible for robots to be capable of being totally autonomous. AI marks its presence in the Manufacturing Industry with the 4th Industrial Revolution. AI has several algorithms that help in collecting and analyzing data in order to help robots to function in specific ways. These techniques include Fuzzy Logic, Genetic Algorithm, Neural Network, etc. In this paper, the role of these algorithms in Mobile Robots is discussed. Based on the review of 74 papers and articles, it is observed that there are no review papers discussing the role of nature-based and conventional algorithms used for navigation in Mobile Robots. Vitex, the genus of the family Lamiaceae, comprises of about 230 species mostly distributed in the warm regions of Europe and temperate regions of Asia. Several Vitex species have been used as folk medicine in different countries for the treatment of various kinds of diseases and ailments. The main aim of this review is to collect and analyze the scientific information available about the Vitex species regarding their chemical constituents and pharmacological activities. The phytochemical investigation of various Vitex species has resulted in the isolation of about 556 chemical constituents belong to various chemical category viz. iridoids, diterpenoids, triterpenoids, flavonoids, lignans, sesquiterpenoids, monoterpenoids, ecdysteroids, and others. The crude extracts of different Vitex species as well as pure phytochemicals exhibited a wide spectrum of in‐vitro and in‐vivo pharmacological activities. In the present review, the scientific literature data on the ethnopharmacological, phytochemical, and pharmacological investigations on the genus Vitex are summarized. More attention should be given in future research to evaluate the pharmacological potential with detailed mechanism of actions for the pure compounds, extracts of plants from this genus. The evolution of the Narmada, Saurashtra, and Kachchh basins in the western margin of the Indian Craton is associated with the Middle Jurassic segmentation of Gondwana. The Narmada Basin was evolved during the Early Cretaceous and preserved a thick clastic and non‐clastic sequence of the Bagh Group. The succession lies unconformably on the Precambrian rocks, and a complete sequence is exposed in the Western Lower Narmada Valley (WLNV). Until now, it has been described using various informal lithostratigraphic units emphasizing local lithic characters, which have no relevance with the stratotypes and do not fit into the concept of the International Subcommission on Stratigraphic Classification (ISSC). In the present study, the Bagh Group succession is mapped across the Lower Narmada Valley (LNV) and correlated between sections. The units in WLNV were revised and redefined assigning the stratotypes as per the ISSC. The amended lithostratigraphy of the Bagh Group comprises five formations, viz. Songir, Vajepur, Bilthana, Nodular Limestone, and Uchad. The Uchad Formation is a newly recognized youngest unit and is subdivided into the Narmada sandstone and the Men Nadi Limestone members. The lithological and palaeontological evidences indicate that the Bagh Group succession of the WLNV developed in a fluvio‐marine environment during the Berriasian? (Neocomian) to Coniacian age. The Cretaceous succession of the WLNV is also compared with the pervasive Tethyan basins, including the Eastern Desert (Egypt), Saurashtra–Kachchh (India), Mahajanga (Madagascar), and Carnarvon (Australia). The Albian–Coniacian lithostratigraphy of the Narmada Basin is comparable to the Eastern Desert, although located at different palaeolatitudes, which suggest similar eustatic and tectonic conditions. It also shows a similar sedimentation pattern compared with the adjoining Saurashtra Basin during the Cenomanian–Coniacian. However, it differs from the Kachchh, Mahajanga, and Carnarvon basins, which can be attributed to different palaeolatitudes, as well as the development of rift‐related events. The deposition of the Bagh Group in WLNV terminated with the separation of the Indian Plate from Madagascar and the outpouring of flood basalts during the Coniacian. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

A hot-press tackified preform was used to improve the uniformity of the laminates thickness and the mechanical properties of the obtained laminates were studied using vacuum assisted resin transfer molding (VARTM). Two modified preforms were prepared under 0.1 and 0.6 MPa in an autoclave and then were used to fabricate the laminates via VARTM. Permeability and thickness distribution of the laminates were obtained by using a special device. Moreover, the tensile and compressive strengths of the obtained laminates were studied and compared with the unmodified ones. Results show that the tackified laminates present a maximum and minimum thickness under 0.1 and 0.6 MPa, respectively. The thicknesses and in-plane permeability of the tackified laminates, with better thickness uniformity, are significantly decreased compared with that of the unmodified cases, while the tensile and compressive strengths of the tackified laminates are improved obviously. Results show that the mechanical property of the tackified laminates prepared by hotpressing at 0.1 MPa is better than that processed at 0.6 MPa. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Devices for medical application require materials to perform at the highest standard over an extended period of time, as many products may be stored more than a year before their use. The performance of such devices can be adversely affected, if the materials of construction they are made of loose their efficiency during storage. Therefore, material aging information is very important in order to ensure the product quality. The quality of the product can be evaluated either by doing the actual storage studies time to time or accelerated aging studies can be simulated in the laboratory to reduce the study time and to know performance of the product well in advance. The accelerated aging studies thus have immense importance before commercialization of any product. In the present study an attempt has been made to assess life time expectancy in terms of its performance of a microporous pressure sensitive adhesive (PSA) tape made of polyurethane (PU) acrylate by e-beam irradiation process. The accelerated aging studies were carried out for different time intervals at different temperatures and the performance of the PU-PSA tape was evaluated in terms of shear adhesion strength. Recent studies in Sikh musicology have focused on its history and theory. However, there is an absence of theoretical research which focuses on the role of emotions in Sikh music. In this paper, we contribute to this research by investigating key issues relating to emotions in Sikh musicology. We explore theories which propose that a rāga will evoke a particular emotion/mood in the listener and that there are a number of factors which influence this process. In particular, we focus on two parallel theories which we term the ‘one rāga one emotion’ and the ‘one rāga multiple emotions’ theories. We consider these theories within the context of the shabads (We are adding an ‘s’ for Punjabi plural words such as shabads and rāgas although the plural in Punjabi in this case would be Shabad or rāga. By Anglicising the words in this way we hope that it makes the paper easier to read), in particular rāgas of the Guru Granth Sahib which convey a number of emotions/moods. In this paper, we explore the problem of how to approach the interpretation of rāgas within the context of the emotions/moods presented in the shabads of those rāgas whilst adhering to the musical structure of the rāga. We use rāga Sirī to exemplify and focus the discussion. We challenge the ‘one rāga one emotion’ theory and propose that a rāga can be performed to evoke a number of emotions/moods but that certain considerations have to be taken into account by the performer during the rendition of the rāga. Effects of Prosopis juliflora (P. juliflora) (Swartz) DC on vegetation composition and productivity were investigated for an effective management and restoration of Indian desert pasturelands. The strategies of canopy removal and trenching around trees were used to reduce competition between the tree and herbaceous vegetation. Treatments were: intact tree without trench (TC+TR−), intact tree and trench (TC+TR+), lopped tree without trench (TC−TR−), lopped tree and trench (TC−TR+), and a control without tree. Photosynthetically active radiation decreased by greater than 85% under the canopy of P. juliflora. Out of 20 herbage species, 17 were under P. juliflora. Species diversity, population size, herbage dry biomass, soil organic matter, and nutrients concentrations were highest in treatments with intact tree and trench. Soil water content was 17% less under the intact tree than in the lopped tree. P. juliflora utilized deeper soil water during drought in 2002. The highest dry mass was in September 2003 and it decreased by >35% starting December onward. Drought induced mineralization and increased soil nutrients and enhanced dry mass in 2003 over that in 2001. Peristrophe paniculata contributed 64% of the total biomass. Conclusively, canopy retention of P. juliflora trees and trenching around the trees improved soil resources, diversity, and herbage production, which may be beneficial for sustained productivity of rangelands.
