Conformity to regulatory or standard requirements is demonstrated through conformity assessment activities, such as product testing. Product testing is the process of determining one or more characteristics of materials or processes in accordance with a reference, such as standards or regulations stated in a report or test certificate. As a means of ensuring the quality, safety, and security of a product (goods or services), testing is gaining currency in international commerce. It is anticipated that the acceptability of the testing results will not become a national or international trade barrier. This study seeks to determine the conditions and maturity level of product testing in Indonesia using the Comprehensive Diagnostic Tool-Annex to the PTB Germany's Quality Improvement Toolkit. The instrument was utilized through case studies in Indonesian-accredited testing laboratories. The average score of 3.2 indicates that the current state of testing activity in Indonesia is still not optimal. To facilitate trade, research, and innovation, improvements must be made to the pillars and aspects of Indonesia's infrastructure building blocks. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The application of standards has been widely applied by companies or organizations including SMEs (Small and Medium Enterprises). Most of them are aware of the standard benefits for organizations, even though their perception of benefits and level of awareness vary greatly. The purpose of this study was to assess the economic benefits of implementing standards in SMEs using ISO Methodology. This research was conducted in SME laundry equipment producer, located in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. Data on the economic benefits of applying standards are obtained from the interview process with experts (supervisors) in each business function and the owner of the SME. Application of standards at SME provides an economic benefit of IDR 262,012,040. SME also receives other benefits from the application of intangible (non-quantifiable) standards in aspect of 1) Inbound Logistics, 2) HRD, 3) Marketing, and Sales and 4) Management and administration. Benefits in the inbound logistics aspect is the logistics flow is more neatly arranged. Benefits in the HRD aspect include training costs being 80% UMR (Minimum Wage). Benefits in the marketing and sales aspects is that process becomes 2 to 3 times easier when explaining to prospective customers. Quality assurance is a very important factor nowadays in consuming a product, goods, or services. Standardization has a role in the standards development so that they can be accepted in national and international trade. As one of the crucial pillars, the condition of the standardization process in a country must be in an ideal position. So, the research aims to identify the profile of standardization development in Indonesia and analyze the existing conditions compared to the ideal conditions using a comprehensive diagnostic tool that was developed by The World Bank and Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt. The results show that standardization activities, it has not all reached the ideal position. Several improvements are needed, especially in the pillar legal and institutional framework; administration and infrastructure; service delivery and technical competency; external relations and communication. Maintenance considerations are essential for school facilities in achieving educational functions. In particular, the maintenance of school facilities is crucial in maintaining the operation of all building systems and components. It is a facility in creating an effective teaching and learning process by providing an environment conducive to learning and academic success. The maintenance of facilities in schools is related to things that are considered as facilities and infrastructure as stipulated in the Regulation of the Minister of National Education no. 24 of 2007. Defines facilities as a piece of transferable learning equipment, with minimum facilities consisting of furniture, educational equipment, educational media, books, other learning resources, information and communication technology, and other equipment that every school/madrasah must own. Meanwhile, infrastructure is defined as basic facilities to carry out school/madrasah functions, with minimum infrastructure criteria consisting of land, buildings, space, electrical power installations, and services that every school/madrasah must own. The above facilities and infrastructures show the characteristics of a primary school. This study aims to identify the primary school characteristics and the maintenance management system implemented in most of the schools in the area. The survey results show that most primary schools in Jabodetabek already have a maintenance management system implemented following the preventive maintenance criteria that we set in this study. The zero-emission transportation target has driven the development and adoption of Electric Vehicles (EV) across the globe, including Indonesia. This policy aims to reduce greenhouse gas and fossil fuel use. Indonesia is one of the countries with the most significant automotive development in ASEAN. This condition also makes the electric cars market in Indonesia has enormous potential. This research will discuss the trend of electric cars in Indonesia, including the policy, technology, supporting infrastructure, and electric cars market in Indonesia. Based on Presidential Regulation No. 55 of 2019 concerning the Acceleration of the Battery Electric Vehicle Program for Road Transportation, the government encourages the development of the electric car technology industry. The government encourages electric car technology by providing incentives to consumers and manufacturers. The government has also built quality 148 public electric vehicle charging stations (PEVCS) and 39 standards related to electric cars. Sales of electric cars in Indonesia increased 74,18% in 2020 and 52,61% in mid-2021. In this study, we found that the challenge for electric cars in Indonesia is the lack of charging station infrastructure and standards related to electric cars. The government's program to encourage electric cars in Indonesia is achieved. A complete and integrated intelligent transportation management system is needed where all entities are aware of the efficient use of energy to create sustainable transportation. The integration of transportation management systems is not possible without the cooperation and collaboration of car manufacturers, scientists, power companies, governments, and standards organizations. Supply chain disruption during the Covid-19 pandemic led to the weakening of many organizations and supply chains globally, including the automotive industry supply chains such as the biggest automotive spare parts company in Indonesia. This paper aims to analyze the strategic adaptation of automotive spare parts manufacturers in Indonesia to maintain the Company's business continuity during Covid-19 pandemic and examine the influence of the strategy applied by the company on profitability. We analyze that the company is always chasing cost leadership in its strategic action since before and during the covid-19 pandemic. To improve financial performance during the economic crises, the company has employed some strategies such as market development strategy, product diversification strategy, operating expenses controlling, and wiser financial management.
