Currently, the Romanian military students are part of a military organization that is transparent and open to knowledge, innovation and cooperation, where intercultural mediation and interaction with different cultures is fostered. Interculturality brings with it a new matrix of communication, which implies an opening from interpersonal and social communication to intercultural communication. And the military educational environment must have the capacity to develop and refine intercultural communication competence and to overcome the communication barriers that the young soldier encounters. A paradigm shift is needed in which the Self and the other are complementary. The research presents on the basis of literature the concept of intercultural culture and communication as well as the defining elements for communication competence and intercultural communication competence. To achieve the proposed objectives empirical research based on observation and analysis will be conducted. The development of intercultural communication competence in the military environment implies the ability to negotiate cultural meanings and value system, the cultivation of a tolerant, open and permissive attitude to diversity.

Purpose: The Wheelchair Skills Training Program (WSTP) is underutilized in pediatrics for training manual wheelchair skills because the voluminous manual lacks pediatric specificity and no materials adapted for pediatric manual wheelchair users (PMWUs) are available. A set of resources (storybook, posters, training workbook) based on the WSTP has previously been developed for training basic indoor wheelchair skills with five to 15-year-old PMWUs. Occupational therapists (OTs) and PMWUs expressed a need for additional resources addressing higher-level skills. Two new sets of resources teaching indoor and community wheelchair skills were developed. Objective: Describe OTs' and PMWUs' satisfaction and perceptions regarding usability, relevance and feasibility in pediatrics with the new resources. Methods: A descriptive qualitative study was conducted. A focus group and interviews were respectively conducted with a convenience sample of OTs and a criterion sample of PMWUs to document perceptions regarding satisfaction, usability, relevance and feasibility. A deductive approach to data analyses was used following the Framework Method. Results: Six OTs expressed satisfaction regarding both sets of resources feeling more confident using the WSTP (relevance) and perceiving potential time efficiencies when planning training interventions (feasibility). They provided suggestions to improve the usability of the second set. Six PMWUs participated in the interviews, two of which provided feedback on both sets. They were satisfied with the resources recommending them to novice and temporary PMWUs aged from three to 11 years. Conclusion: Participants' suggested the resources may contribute to reducing the gap between the evidence supporting the WSTP and its utilization in pediatrics. IMPLICATIONS FOR REHABILITATION: Two sets of knowledge transfer resources based on the Wheelchair Skills Training Program (WSTP) are pediatric-friendly materials that could be used in rehabilitation settings to train wheelchair skills among novice and temporary manual wheelchair users. Both sets of knowledge transfer resources may help bridge the gap between the evidence supporting the WSTP and its utilization in pediatrics by responding to clinicians' needs for playful, easy-to-use and condensed materials to use in their interventions. The perspectives of occupational therapists and pediatric manual wheelchair users are important to improve the wheelchair skills training resources so that they align with both knowledge users' needs and preferences. The paper carries out a study based on the procedural approach of quality management in the educational system, with application on the military field, in order to measure organizational performance. Therefore, the evaluation methodology comprises a series of steps that can be found as subchapters in the paper. The procedural approach of performance evaluation allows the development of an integrated vision of the interdependencies and interactions between the specific processes, which favors an efficient analysis of the quality and quantity of the obtained results. The conclusions of the analysis are materialized in measures to improve the organizational processes, thus contributing to the achievement of an efficient quality management in the educational system.

In contemporary society, propaganda has a major impact due to the new technologies in the media (satellite television, the Internet) that ensure the rapid and instant transmission of information, thus expanding the audience. The concept of propaganda acts systematically in support of a doctrine, in order to persuade a large mass of individuals. It is generally associated with a negative action, considered to be reprehensible, and this is the consequence of the attempts that various totalitarian regimes have manifested abusively. Basically, propaganda is a conscious communication act with a political and revolutionary character representing a strategy of social influence. The element of difference is misinformation. Thus, this concept can be one of integration and consolidation of the society or, on the contrary, it can be a factor of agitation.

The scientific paper elucidates the importance of using remedies of natural origin, compared to those of chemical origin, in combating ectoparasites in gallinaceous birds. For the first time, the antiectoparasitic efficacy of the natural extract Ectogalimol, obtained from the plant raw material, dry aerial parts of the Dalmatian chamomile (Pyretrum cinerariifolium Trev.) which in a concentration of 3%, administered by spraying in two rounds at an interval of 14 days, in a dose of 50 ml per bird, possesses a high therapeutic effectiveness against the various species of ectoparasites (bird lice, fleas and gamasid mites). For comparative purposes, the drug Ivermec-OR is used, which also possesses a high antiparasitic efficacy against various species of bird lice, fleas and gamasid mites in gallinaceous birds, compared to the natural extract Ectogalimol, which does not require restrictions on the consumption of products and by-products from treated birds. The study of the composition and process for additional feeding and deworming of hares is an important, fundamental and, especially, applicative issue, because some species serve as definitive hosts in the development cycle and as parasitic vectors, being dangerous for both domestic animals and humans. Parasitosis are the most common diseases in wildlife of the hunting fauna, which results with substantial economic losses. The invention relates to the protection of hunting fauna, namely to a composition and a process for additional feeding and deworming of hares. The composition, according to the invention, comprises, in %: oats 30.0-50.0, wheat 4.0-7.0, barley 2.0-4.0, corn 2.0-4.0, sunflower groats 2.0-4.0, soybean groats 2.0-4.0, bentonite 20.0-30.0, molasses 1.0-2.0, dextrin 2.0-3.0, premix containing vitamins, oligoelements, minerals, coccidiostatic and antioxidant 1.0-2.0, and a preparation containing 20% albendazole 1.0-2.0. The process, according to the invention, provides for the administration to hares of said composition, in a dose of 75 g/hare, in winter, twice with an interval of 14 days, in the form of briquettes, placed at a height of 25-40 cm from the soil. In general, the culture of an organization is a complex and dynamic entity shaped by a variety of factors, which plays a critical role in defining the way the organization operates and interacts with its stakeholders and can have a significant impact on its overall success and effectiveness. Innovative culture is essential to the success of organizations in today's ever-changing world. In recent decades, the military has had a significant impact on the development of technology and innovation in areas such as robots, drones, communications, information systems and artificial intelligence. The army has also used innovation to improve the training of soldiers and officers, develop new tactics and improve communication and collaboration between units. Moreover, the army is often recognized for its ability to adapt to difficult and unpredictable situations, such as wars or natural disasters. This requires innovation and creativity in finding solutions and adapting quickly to change. The paper presents the military organization as being concerned with creating and maintaining a culture of innovation, which requires a sustained commitment and effort from leaders and all those involved in the organization. As Constantin Brancuși (1876-1956) said „Simplicity is complexity itself“, simplicity and regularity through the use of basic geometric forms has always played a central role in architectural design, during the 20th century. A diachronic perspective, shows as the use of geometry and mathematics to describe built form provided a common basis for communication between the processes of design, fabrication and stability. Classic ways of representing geometry, based on descriptive methods, favor precise language of bidimensionality easy to represent in a rectangular coordinate system. In recent years, the importance of geometry has been re-emphasized by significant advances in the digital age, where computers are increasingly used in design, fabrication and construction to explore the art of the possible. Contemporary architecture transcend the limitations of Euclidean geometry and create new forms that are emerging through the convergence of complex systems, computational design and robotic fabrication devices, but which can also achieve higher levels of performance. Freeform architectural shapes and structures play an increasingly important role in 21st century architectural design. Through a series of examples, the paper relates to contemporary architectural explorations of complex, curvilinear surfaces in the digital age and discusses how it has required rethinking the mode in which we traditionally operate as architects. The analysis creates the possibility of comparisons between original and current design.

Aim. The paper aims to analyze the situation of the rhythmic gymnastics injuries in Romania as a consequence of wear produced in the training through the very large number of repetitions of biomechanically difficult elements required by the Score Code. Methods. We applied between October 2016 and April 2017 a questionnaire with 10 questions to legitimate athletes practicing rhythmic gymnastics in the clubs participating in national and international competitions in our country. Results. The 30 athletes of our research aged 12-13 years present approximately equally injured precent ankles and spine (lumbar level). Conclusions. This study can be a support for the specialists in the field to develop training plans that do not lead to injuries of the athletes in order to avoid mistakes in choosing the means and methods of learning, consolidating and improving the elements with high risk of injury. In referring to the poetry of the „generation in blue jeans,” I signaled the detachment from the excessive primacy of modernism by which the change of paradigm will be produced. In turning away from the Bessarabian project of rehabilitating the aesthetics, which was specihc to the '70es years of this past century, the poets of the '80es years of this past century have lost thei air of „freshness and adolescent ingenuity,” while putting on again the robe of „epigones.” As a consequence, the life fascination (unknown, mysterious) is replaced by the fascination of death (known), and the sensation of the open gives up in front of the terror of the sensation of the closed. In the game are involved poets who begin from the annihilating zero and come back to it again. There are road which are lost in nowhere and nevermore, since the world is demythicized, desecralized and without sanguineness; in a word, without ontogeny. From the cavaliers of the sad figure, the poets become cavaliers of their own death, while histrionically putting on the mortuary mask. There they leave an ambiguous space through which the gesture may seem sincere, and a picture, also, of the self-portrait is made by respecting the figure from the mirror and, at the same time, thickened, caricatured, artifactitious. The Moldavian/Bessarabian “generation 80” emerged under different historical and political conditions as compared with the Romanian one; nevertheless, it shares some characteristics similar to the Romanian model in what regards the sociolinguistic, imagological, rhetorical aspects. It did not appear as a declared opposition to a particular generation, but was born out of a normal reaction to recovery after a prolonged cultural convalescence and, of course, to synchronization by transfer with new experiences and experiments from Romanian and Western culture and literature. This “intersection” between the two axes of the generations 80 (the Romanian and the Moldavian ones) is illustrated by the intertextual poetry of Emilian Galaicu-Păun, displaying an interesting disclosure of the intertextualization process, the creation of the poem as a scriptural agent, by drawing the relative effects of the distances between the performer and performance. Introduction. The first case of medullary aplasia was described in literature in 1888 by Paul Ehrlich in a pregnant woman who died of postpartum hemorrhage. The term medullary aplasia is similar to that of aplastic anemia. Aplastic anemia is a syndrome of medullar damage characterized by pancytopenia (leukopenia, thrombocytopenia, erythropenia) and medullary hypoplasia; it is a rare and serious condition which has an increased risk of maternal and fetal complications. Materials and method. We present the case of a pregnant 28-year-old patient who presented at the emergency room for systemic painful uterine contractions, spontaneously ruptured membranes with clear liquid exteriorization on the external genitalia and skin pallor. From the laboratory analyzes, we mention normochromic normocytic anemia (Hb=9.7 g/dL), leukopenia (2.19x103 /μL), erythropenia (3.12x106 /μL) and neutropenia (1.2x103 /μL). At the local clinical examination, there is a clear cervix, with 2 cm dilatation, cranial presentation, mobile and spontaneously ruptured membranes. Ultrasound biometry showed a pregnancy of 38 weeks and 6 days, single live fetus, cranial presentation, grade 3 posterior placenta, a small quantity of amniotic fluid, 146 BPM fetal heartbeats, and an estimated weight of 3400 grams. The diagnosis was: IG IP pregnancy, a 39-week single live fetus, with cranial presentation, spontaneous ruptured membranes, triggered birth, medullary aplasia, secondary anemia and negative birth test. Caesarean section was performed to extract one single live fetus, male, weighing 3450 grams, with an Apgar score of 9. Results. The evolution was favorable for both the mother and the fetus. Cyclosporine A has been shown to be effective during pregnancy, but at the patient’s request, the administration of CyA treatment was discontinued during breastfeeding, as it excreted in breast milk. Conclusions. Pregnancy associated with medullary aplasia increases the risk of maternal and fetal complications and, thus, it is necessary to form a multidisciplinary team to monitor the pregnancy in order to obtain the optimal results. The classical form of Grüss' inequality gives an estimate of the difference between the integral of the product and the product of the integrals of two functions in C[a, b]. It was first published by G. Grüss in [7]. The aim of this article is to discuss Grüss-type inequalities in C(X), the set of continuous functions defined on a compact metric space X. We consider a functional L(f) := H(f; x), where H : C(X) → C(X) is a positive linear operator and x ε X is fixed. Generalizing a result of Acu et al. [1], a quantitative Grüss-type inequality is obtained in terms of the least concave majorant of the classical modulus of continuity. The interest is in the degree of non-multiplicativity of the functional L. Moreover, for the case X = [a, b] we improve the inequality and apply it to various known operators, in particular those of Bernstein-, convolution- and Shepard-type. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Biblioteca Orășenească Tăuții Măgherăuș (jud. Maramureș) a fost înființată în 1953 și a funcționat, inițial, în vechea școală de pe lângă biserica ortodoxă românească, publicațiile fiind achiziționate cu ajutorul Societății Culturale „Mihail Eminescu". Până la sfârșitul lui 1953 erau înregistrate 1.871 de cărți, majoritatea în limba maghiară. Astăzi, biblioteca deține peste 8.000 de volume, toate înregistrate în sistem automatizat, are aproape 400 de utilizatori activi și circa 3.000 de volume împrumutate anual. În 2018, biblioteca a sărbătorit 65 de ani de existență odată cu Ziua Internațională a Cărții și a dreptului de autor și Ziua Bibliotecarului în România, ocazie cu care au fost organizate dezbateri, o expoziție și un concurs pe teme de cultură generală. The purification of used oils and their introduction into production cycles lead to reduction in environmental contamination. A simulation was conducted to study the thermal degradation of sunflower oil under varying temperatures over time. In the purification process of used cooking oil, an adsorption technique using zeolite and eggshell as an adsorbent (5, 10, 20, and 30 g/100 mL used oil) was applied. To optimize purification, different doses of thermally and chemically activated adsorbents were used, at different temperatures (30 and 80 °C). Therefore, this study was conducted in batch operations to determine the effect of suitable adsorption for a contact time of the adsorbent of 2 h. In comparison, the purification of used vegetable oils was achieved using a saline solution. The adsorption capacity was evaluated by determining the physicochemical parameters of the oils before and after purification. The characterization of natural adsorbents was carried out using scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and X-ray fluorescence spectrometry (XRF). The results showed that the adsorbent in a dose of 30 g of zeolite activated with NaOH and heat-treated eggshell, respectively, exhibited a larger surface area and greater adsorption capacity. Adsorption increased with contact time. The FT-IR spectra of the oils showed the IR bands at 1097, 1160, and 1237, corresponding to the presence of the ester C-O-, 1743 for C=O ester, 2853, 2922 for (CH2, CH3), and 3008 for (C=C). The acidity and peroxide values decreased with increasing dose and contact time with zeolite or eggshell. The evolution of the hepatitis A virus is an important public health problem. This study was conducted in 2018 - 2019 and provides an analysis of the determinants regarding the evolution of hepatitis A virus (HAV) in Suceava County, Romania. The determining factors for the study were the subjects' place of residence and the source of the outbreak. It turned out that the main factor - the type of infectious outbreak - is mainly represented by variable educational communities and amounts to 56%, and the variability of home contacts is 42%. The distribution of the determining factor, according to which the source of the outbreak selects water as the predominant variable is 62%, followed by food 26%. These factors may play a significant role in the spread of hepatitis A among vulnerable populations. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

In this work a new methodological concept of potential fertility planification and rehabilitation under irrigational conditions. Using this method, a model of potential fertility planification was elaborated, which was verified with the usage of lysimetres. It was determined that black earth's fertility can be reestablished only using ecosystems' capacity of reestablishing their own productive and reproductive potential after elimination of destructive processes, including replacement of classical methods of investigation with using the methodology proposed in this study in the area of agro technology. It was ascertained that in case of alienation from biological mass of plants with more than 68%, the diminution of effective fertility of soil has a specific character: during 5-7 years, when the cultivated plants' pregnancy diminishes achieving one particular level, after that, it remains constant despite of the fact that the intensity of alienation process is still the same.
