This article reports how statistical analyses of PhD thesis records can reveal future research capacities for disciplines beyond their primary fields. The previous research showed that most theses contributed to and/or used methodologies from more than one discipline. In Australia, there was a concern for declining mathematical teaching and research capacity. We decided to investigate the "hidden" mathematics research capacity in PhDs outside of mathematics. Australian PhD records were re-coded with up to three fields. Records with mathematics as one of their codes were selected and analysed for their relationships to disciplines in their other codes. Triple-coding revealed "hidden" mathematical research capacity that had previously been single-coded in another field had mathematics as one of their subsequent fields. Our findings have implications for policy and planning for mathematics in Australia, and multiple coding of PhD theses records enables analyses for other disciplines to be undertaken to show their research capacities.

The value of work integrated learning (WIL) is well-established in the education of information management (IM) professionals. Adding value to WIL through cross-cultural or cross-disciplinary experiences is considered in this article. Using online communication, simulation activities, and onsite work, students from RMIT Melbourne and RMIT Ho Chi Minh City were involved in planning, negotiating, and delivering specific projects in the Da Nang General Hospital (DNGH) in Vietnam as part of their WIL. Evaluation of the whole project was undertaken through the collection of data from an online survey which rated the importance and performance of specific elements of the project. Feedback from focus group interviews was also collected and has informed the evaluation. The analysis of the data revealed positive participant perceptions of the outcomes of the project and its importance which may be taken into consideration by similar cross-cultural projects. Background: Social media have become an integral part of our modern society by providing platforms for users to create and exchange news, ideas, and information. The increasing use of social media has raised concerns about the reliability of the shared information, particularly information that is generated from anonymous users. Though prior studies have confirmed the important roles of heuristics and cues in the users' evaluation of trustworthy information, there has been no research-to our knowledge-that categorized Facebook users based on their approaches to evaluating information credibility. Method: We employed Q-methodology to extract insights from 55 young Vietnamese users and to categorize them into different groups based on the distinct sets of heuristics that they used to evaluate the trustworthiness of online information on Facebook. Results: We identified four distinct types of young Facebook user groups that emerged based on their evaluation of online information trustworthiness. When evaluating online information trustworthiness on Facebook, these user groups assigned priorities differently to the characteristics of the online content, its original source, and the sharers or aggregators. We named these groups: (1) the balanced analyst, (2) the critical analyst, (3) the source analyst, and (4) the social network analyst. Conclusion: The findings offer insights that contribute to information processing literature. Behavioural information security (InfoSec) research has studied InfoSec at workplaces through the employees' perceptions of InfoSec climate, which is determined by observable InfoSec practices performed by their colleagues and direct supervisors. Prior studies have identified the antecedents of a positive InfoSec climate, in particular socialisation through the employees' discussions of InfoSec-related matters to explain the formation of InfoSec climate based on the employees' individual cognition. We conceptualise six forms of socialisation as six networks, which comprise employees' provisions of (1) work advice, (2) organisational updates, (3) personal advice, (4) trust for expertise, (5) InfoSec advice, and (6) InfoSec troubleshooting support. The adoption of a longitudinal social network analysis (SNA), called stochastic actororiented modelling (SAOM), enabled us to analyse the changes in the socialising patterns and the InfoSec climate perceptions over time. Consequently, this analysis explains the forming mechanisms of the employees' InfoSec climate perceptions as well as their socialising process in greater detail. Our findings in relation to the forming mechanisms of InfoSec-related socialisation and InfoSec climate, provide practical recommendations to improve organisational InfoSec. This includes identifying influential employees to diffuse InfoSec knowledge within a workplace. IT governance is a framework that manages the efficient use of information technology within an organization, focusing on strategic alignment, risk management, resource management, performance measurement, compliance, and value delivery. This study investigates the role of IT governance in integrating artificial intelligence (AI) in accounting and auditing operations. Data were collected from 228 participants from Saudi Arabia using a combination of convenience sampling and snowball sampling methods. The collected data were then analyzed using structural equation modeling. Unexpectedly, the results demonstrate that AI, big data analytics, cloud computing, and deep learning technologies significantly enhance accounting and auditing functions' efficiency and decision-making capabilities, leading to improved financial reporting and audit processes. The results highlight that IT governance plays a crucial role in managing the complexities of AI integration, aligning business strategies with AI-enabled technologies, and facilitating these advancements. This research fills a gap in previous research and adds significantly to the academic literature by improving the understanding of integrating AI into accounting and auditing processes. It builds on existing theoretical frameworks by investigating the role of IT governance in promoting AI adoption. The findings provide valuable insights for accounting and auditing experts, IT specialists, and organizational leaders. The study provides practical insights on deploying AI-driven technology in organizations to enhance auditing procedures and financial reporting. In a societal context, it highlights the broader implications of AI on transparency, accountability, and trust in financial reporting. Finally, the study offers practitioners, policymakers, and scholars valuable insights on leveraging AI advancements to optimize accounting and auditing operations. Cybersecurity threats have increased as the world becomes increasingly interconnected. Whilst the use of technology to facilitate commercial activities is now common practice, there is a need to limit exposure to these threats so that traders can transact safely. This study aimed to identify and analyse common cybersecurity vulnerabilities and threats experienced by small-scale African migrant traders in Southern Africa. A qualitative approach was employed and semi-structured and key informant interviews were conducted to gather the primary data, with secondary data sourced from the relevant literature. The study found that the majority of the small-scale traders experienced hacking while using their mobile devices for transacting. Moreover, most reported a lack of knowledge of cybersecurity and were therefore vulnerable to further threats. It is recommended that small-scale traders be capacitated with relevant technical information to enhance their understanding of cybersecurity risks that can negatively affect their commercial activities.
