We report a method to fabricate carbon nanotubes (CNT)/conducting polymer composite films for the application of CNTs to field emission displays. The composite was prepared by a combination of electrochemical polymerization of pyrrole and electrophoretic deposition of CNTs. We obtained a uniform CNT/conducting polypyrrole polymer composite film. The CNTs were mainly coated on protrusions of the polypyrrole film and emitted electrons without rubbing and stretching. We realized a triode-type field emission array (FEA) using the CNT/polypyrrol composite. This FEA showed that the emission current was modulated by gate voltage of 30 V. The film morphology and emission characteristics of the CNT/conducting polymer composite were studied using optical microscopy, scanning electron microscopy, and an emission test in vacuum. Traditional full-color displays typically use a pixel layout with three side-by-side subpixels emitting red (R), green (G), and blue (B) colors. However, this configuration limits the resolution especially in augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) applications. To address the issue of low pixel density in display technology, this study demonstrated vertically stacked three-terminal (3-T) bottom-emitting tandem OLEDs (sOLED). These OLEDs offer color tunability, facilitated by individually controlled colour units. This study demonstrates two combinations: G+B and R+G. Incorporating three generations of OLED's materials phosphorescent (R), thermally activated delayed fluorescence (TADF) (G), and hyperfluorescent (B). The OLEDs achieve maximum current efficiencies of approximately 11 cd/A, 52.4 cd/A, and 40.7 cd/A for R, G, and B, respectively, in their respective tandem configurations. A wide range of colors can be achieved by blending G+B and R+G color spectrum by adjusting the voltage of independent color unit. The optimal mix results in a fine cyan color with CIE coordinates (0.273,0.5) in G+B sOLED and a warm white with CIE coordinates (0.416,0.518)in R+G sOLED. Sodium batteries (SBs) emerge as a potential candidate for large-scale energy storage and have become a hot topic in the past few decades. In the previous researches on electrolyte, designing electrolytes with the solvation theory has been the most promising direction is to improve the electrochemical performance of batteries through solvation theory. In general, the four essential factors for the commercial application of SBs, which are cost, low temperature performance, fast charge performance and safety. The solvent structure has significant impact on commercial applications. But so far, the solvation design of electrolyte and the practical application of sodium batteries have not been comprehensively summarized. This review first clarifies the process of Na + solvation and the strategies for adjusting Na + solvation. It is worth noting that the relationship between solvation theory and interface theory is pointed out. The cost, low temperature, fast charging, and safety issues of solvation are systematically summarized. The importance of the de-solvation step in low temperature and fast charging application is emphasized to help select better electrolytes for specific applications. Hydrofluoric acid (HF)-induced electrode and interfacial structure degeneration poses a significant challenge for high-voltage lithium metal batteries (LMBs). To address this issue, we propose a separator strategy that involves decorating a regular polyethylene (PE) separator with molecular sieves (TW) impregnated with piperidine (PI). The porous structure of the TW serves as a reaction chamber for PI and HF. As a result, the HF content in the controlled electrolyte with 500 ppm H 2 O (ELE-500) is notably reduced when using TW@PI-PE separators, thereby shielding nickel-rich cathodes from HF etching. Simultaneously, due to the hydrolysis of Li salts, and the inertness of PI towards H 2 O, a uniform lithium fluoride (LiF)-rich solid electrolyte interphase can form on the Li metal anode, further mitigating dendrite formation. The lifespan of the symmetric Li cell using the TW@PI-PE separator is doubled in ELE-500, exhibiting stable 500-hour cycles at 3 mA cm -2 and 3 mAh cm -2 . Additionally, with the effective limitation of transition metal (TM) dissolution, the 4.6-V LMBs employing a LiNi 0.8 Co 0.1 Mn 0.1 O 2 cathode maintain an 81 % capacity retention over 100 cycles, even in ELE-1000. Non-aqueous electrolytes, generally consisting of metal salts and solvating media, are indispensable elements for building rechargeable batteries. As the major sources of ionic charges, the intrinsic characters of salt anions are of particular importance in determining the fundamental properties of bulk electrolyte, as well as the features of the resulting electrode-electrolyte interphases/interfaces. To cope with the increasing demand for better rechargeable batteries requested by emerging application domains, the structural design and modifications of salt anions are highly desired. Here, salt anions for lithium and other monovalent (e.g., sodium and potassium) and multivalent (e.g., magnesium, calcium, zinc, and aluminum) rechargeable batteries are outlined. Fundamental considerations on the design of salt anions are provided, particularly involving specific requirements imposed by different cell chemistries. Historical evolution and possible synthetic methodologies for metal salts with representative salt anions are reviewed. Recent advances in tailoring the anionic structures for rechargeable batteries are scrutinized, and due attention is paid to the paradigm shift from liquid to solid electrolytes, from intercalation to conversion/alloying-type electrodes, from lithium to other kinds of rechargeable batteries. Lithium-ion batteries (LIBs), in which lithium ions function as charge carriers, are considered the most competitive energy storage devices due to their high energy and power density. However, battery materials, especially with high capacity undergo side reactions and changes that result in capacity decay and safety issues. A deep understanding of the reactions that cause changes in the battery's internal components and the mechanisms of those reactions is needed to build safer and better batteries. This review focuses on the processes of battery failures, with voltage and temperature as the underlying factors. Voltage-induced failures result from anode interfacial reactions, current collector corrosion, cathode interfacial reactions, overcharge, and over-discharge, while temperature-induced failure mechanisms include SEI decomposition, separator damage, and interfacial reactions between electrodes and electrolytes. The review also presents protective strategies for controlling these reactions. Room-temperature sodium-sulfur (RT-Na/S) batteries are promising alternatives for next-generation energy storage systems with high energy density and high power density. However, some notorious issues are hampering the practical application of RT-Na/S batteries. Besides, the working mechanism of RT-Na/S batteries under practical conditions such as high sulfur loading, lean electrolyte, and low capacity ratio between the negative and positive electrode (N/P ratio), is of essential importance for practical applications, yet the significance of these parameters has long been disregarded. Herein, it is comprehensively reviewed recent advances on Na metal anode, S cathode, electrolyte, and separator engineering for RT-Na/S batteries. The discrepancies between laboratory research and practical conditions are elaborately discussed, endeavors toward practical applications are highlighted, and suggestions for the practical values of the crucial parameters are rationally proposed. Furthermore, an empirical equation to estimate the actual energy density of RT-Na/S pouch cells under practical conditions is rationally proposed for the first time, making it possible to evaluate the gravimetric energy density of the cells under practical conditions.
