Earlier research on the ways in which enterprise social media (ESM) usage contributes to employee resilience is rather limited. Using boundary spanning theory, this paper proposes a research model for investigating how enterprise social media usage contributes to employee resilience. Using Smart PLS 4.0 to analyze the survey data from 370 employees, this study found that, first, when enterprise social media is used for work and social purposes, it has a positive effect on employee boundary spanning, while the effect of social-related ESM usage on employee boundary spanning is larger than work-related ESM usage. Second, employee boundary spanning has the greatest effect on the behavioural dimension of employee-level resilience, followed by the cognitive dimension of employee-level resilience and the contextual dimension. Third, employees' boundary spanning acts as a partial mediator between enterprise social media and employees' different levels of resilience. Finally, it is interesting to find that individual adaptability can weaken the relationship between work-related ESM usage and employee boundary spanning, while individual adaptability can strengthen the relationship between social-related ESM usage and employee boundary spanning. As an emerging collaboration platform based on web 2.0 technologies, enterprise social media can provide opportunities and challenges for information acquisition and creativity development. However, existing research on the ways in which enterprise social media use affects employee creativity from both internal and external team perspectives is rather limited. Using communication visibility theory (CVR), this paper proposes a research model for investigating the relationship between enterprise social media (ESM) usage and employee creativity. Drawing on an analysis of 218 employees' data, this study found that ESM, when used for both work and social purposes, has a positive effect on internal information exchange within teams and external knowledge acquisition across teams, which further contributes to employee creativity. Innovative culture can weaken the relationship between work-related ESM usage and internal team information exchange, and strengthen the relationship between social-related ESM usage and internal team information exchange. An increasing number of employees are using social media for their daily work. But the relationship between social media use and job performance is controversial. To address this issue, this study explores the impact of different social media platform usage on job performance based on different usage purposes. The media synchronicity theory provides the theoretical foundation. Surveys were conducted in an Internet commerce company in China, generating 301 valid responses for analysis. The results showed that both work-related and social-related use of enterprise social media had a U-shape effect on job performance. Also, work-related use of general social media had a U-shape effect on job performance, whereas social-related use of general social media had no effect on job performance. The present study aims to investigate the genetic stability of the plasmid expressing chicken interleukin-2 (ChIL-2) and chicken interleukin-4 (ChIL-4) fusion genes carried by the DH5α/pUC57 recombinant strain during the large-scale production process, and to explore its potential as an immune adjuvant for live chicken coccidiosis vaccine in commercial batch production. The laboratory genetic stability identification of the recombinant DH5α/pUC57 was carried out by subculturing the recombinant plasmid for 30 consecutive generations. The results showed that after the recombinant strain being cultured for 30 consecutive generations on the lysic broth (LB) plates containing ampicillin (Amp+), the recombinant bacterias remained Gram-negative (G-), and could ferment glucose and mannitol to result in specific phenomena, whereas none fermented lactose was found. The homology of the 16S rDNA fragments between the recombinant bacteria and E. coli was greater than 95%, the supercoil ratio of the recombinant plasmids of each generation was greater than 90%, and the plasmid loss rate was 0. The expression product of the recombinant plasmid could stimulate the differentiation of spleen lymphocytes of SPF chicks. The above results indicate that there were essentially no changes in the structure of the 30 generations of continuous passages for the ChIL-2-ChIL-4 fusion gene recombinant bacteria and recombinant plasmids, and the plasmids can be isolated stably, which can provide material support for the expansion of production. In this study, core-shell Fe0@polyaniline (PANI) nanoparticles were synthesized to remove Rhodamine B (RhB) in aqueous solution. The Fe0/PANI composites were characterized by X-ray diffraction, Fourier transform infrared spectra, and transmission electron microscopy. The performances of Fe0/PANI on the activation of molecular oxygen for the removal of RhB were investigated, and the effects of operating parameters, such as Fe0/PANI dosage, RhB initial concentration, and pH value on RhB removal were also discussed. The results indicated that the Fe0@PANI/O2process exhibited significantly higher reactivity than did the Fe0/O2process for the degradation of RhB. The oxidative degradation of RhB was further promoted by the presence of anthraquinone-2-sulfonic acid sodium salt working as an electron shuttle. In addition, the reaction mechanism was discussed by measuring the concentrations of Fe(II), and total Fe formed in the system and examining scavenging effect by tert-butyl alcohol and copper chloride. The redox mediating function of PANI was also revealed by the UV–vis spectra. The stability of Fe0@PANI showed that it is a potential nanomaterial for the environmental remediation. In this study, the PANI-supported nanoscale zero-valent iron (PANI/nZVI) composites have been successfully synthesized to remove Rhodamine B (RhB) from aqueous solutions using a heterogeneous Fenton-like system. The synthetic PANI/nZVI composites were characterized using X-ray diffraction (XRD), Transmission electron microscope (TEM) and Fourier transform infrared (FTIR). The results showed that they were lamellar structures and nZVI nanoparticles were introduced into their structures. The performances of PANI/nZVI composites on the activation of molecular oxygen for removal of RhB were investigated and the effects of operating parameters, such as PANI/nZVI dosage, PANI and nZVI mass ratio, RhB initial concentration, and pH value on RhB removal were also discussed. The results indicate that PANI/nZVI was proved to be the most efficient in that more than 83.31% of RhB was removed, whereas only 11.15% when using nZVI after reacting for 120 min with an initial RhB concentration of 0.02 mmol L−1 (pH = 6.50). Furthermore, the reaction mechanism was discussed by measuring the concentrations of Fe(II), total Fe and H2O2 formed in the system and examining scavenging effects using copper chloride and methanol. Total petroleum hydrocarbons (TPH) continue to be among the most common pollutants in soil worldwide. Bioremediation and phytoremediation have become sustainable ways of dealing with TPH contamination and biostimulation-assisted phytoremediation is considered as a potential approach for the treatment of pollutants. In this study, the response surface was used to optimize the single-factor biological stimulation experiment of moisture content, leavening agent content and compound fertilizer content and got the best experimental plan of biological stimulation. It was found that TPH degradation rate was 28.6% by biostimulation after 70 days. Further, from 20 kinds of plant seeds, 5 kinds of suitable or growth and high germination rate were selected for petroleum hydrocarbon degradation experiment. In the phytoremediation, peanut was selected as the best plant species by measuring the TPH degradation rate, bacteria count, growth of test plants, germination rate and amount of catalase in the soil and it could achieved 31.1% degradation rate of petroleum hydrocarbons after 70 days. Finally, the artificial biostimulation and phytoremediation combined degradation experiment of petroleum hydrocarbons-contaminated soil was designed and it achieved 38.9% TPH degradation rate after 70 days. In petroleum hydrocarbon-contaminated soils, single remediation methods are often limited and may be disturbed by environmental conditions. In the actual research process of coupling biostimulation and phytoremediation, it is necessary to play the role of microorganisms on the premise of ensuring plant growth. This may further present challenges for combined bioremediation attempts. In this work, the response surface methodology was used to optimize the single-factor biological stimulation experiment of moisture content, leavening agent content and compound fertilizer content. As a result, the best biological stimulation experimental scheme can be obtained to repair oil contaminated soil. Then, biostimulation-assisted phytoremediation degradation experiment of petroleum hydrocarbons-contaminated soil was designed and an effective degradation rate of petroleum hydrocarbons in the soil was obtained. Biostimulation combined with phytoremediation improved the degradation rate of soil petroleum hydrocarbons in 70 days. Background: Wound healing is a complex pathophysiological process that involves a variety of cells and cytokines. In this study, we found that local injection of human amnion mesenchymal stem cells into wounds in rats could promote wound healing. Therefore, we hypothesized that the exosomes of human amnion mesenchymal stem cells contain substances that regulate the migration of epidermal cells. It has been reported that miR-135a is involved in cell migration and transformation. However, there have been no reports of its function in skin wound healing. Methods: To test this hypothesis, we injected exosomes overexpressing miR-135a directly into the wound margin. In addition, we tested the migration of BJ cells with overexpression or knockdown of miR-135a in vitro. Additionally, Western blot analysis was used to detect the expression of fibroblast migration-associated proteins after treatment with miR-135a overexpression or knockdown. Results: MiR-135a significantly promoted wound healing compared to the control treatment. Western blot analysis showed a significant downregulation of LATS2 after overexpression of miR-135a. In addition, knockdown of miR-135a effectively attenuated the promoting effect of exosomes on cell migration. Conclusions: Our results indicated that miR-135a promotes wound healing, which may be mediated by downregulating LATS2 levels to increase cell migration. This study provides a rationale for the therapeutic effect on wound healing of miR-135a in exosomes derived from human amnion mesenchymal stem cells. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The Akt plays an important role in regulating cardiac growth, myocardial angiogenesis, and cell death in cardiac myocytes. However, there are few studies to focus on the responses of the Akt pathway to cardiac contractility modulation (CCM) in a chronic heart failure (HF) model. In this study, the effects of CCM on the treatment of HF in a rabbit model were investigated. Thirty six-month-old rabbits were randomly separated into control, HF, and CCM groups. The rabbits in HF and CCM groups were pressure uploaded, which can cause an aortic constriction. Then, CCM was gradually injected to the myocardium of rabbits in the CCM group, and this process lasted for four weeks with six hours per day. Rabbit body weight, heart weight, and heart beating rates were recorded during the experiment. To assess the CCM impacts, rabbit myocardial histology was examined as well. Additionally, western blot analysis was employed to measure the protein levels of Akt, FOXO3, Beclin, Pi3k, mTOR, GSK-3β, and TORC2 in the myocardial histology of rabbits. Results showed that the body and heart weight of rabbits decreased significantly after suffering HF when compared with those in the control group. However, they gradually recovered after CCM application. The CCM significantly decreased collagen volume fraction in myocardial histology of HF rabbits, indicating that CCM therapy attenuated myocardial fibrosis and collagen deposition. The levels of Akt, FOXO3, Beclin, mTOR, GSK-3β, and TORC2 were significantly downregulated, but Pi3k concentration was greatly upregulated after CCM utilization. Based on these findings, it was concluded that CCM could elicit positive effects on HF therapy, which was potentially due to the variation in the Pi3k/Akt signaling pathway. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The undrained shear strength of shallow strata is a critical parameter for safety design in deep-water operations. In situ piezocone penetration tests (CPTU) and laboratory experiments are performed at Site W18-19 in the Shenhu area, northern South China Sea, where China's first marine hydrate exploitation operation is due to be located. The validation of the undrained shear strength prediction model based on CPTU parameters. Different laboratory tests, including pocket penetrometer, torvane, miniature vane and unconsolidated undrained triaxial tests, are employed to solve empirical cone coefficients by statistical and mathematical methods. Finally, an optimized model is proposed to describe the longitudinal distribution of undrained shear strength in calcareous clay strata in the Shenhu area. Research results reveal that average empirical cone coefficients based on total cone resistance, effective resistance, and excess-pore pressure are 13.8, 4.2 and 14.4, respectively. The undrained shear strength prediction model shows a good fit with the laboratory results only within specific intervals based on their compaction degree and gas-bearing conditions. The optimized prediction model in piecewise function format can be used to describe the longitudinal distribution of the undrained shear strength for calcareous clay within all depth intervals from the mud-line to the upper boundary of hydrate-bearing sediments (HBS). The optimized prediction result indicates that the effective cone resistance model is suitable for very soft to firm calcareous clays, the excess-pore pressure model can depict the undrained shear strength for firm to very stiff but gas-free clays, while the total cone resistance model is advantageous for evaluating the undrained shear strength for very stiff and gassy clays. The optimized model in piecewise function format can considerably improve the adaptability of empirical models for calcareous clay in the Shenhu area. Background: Prosthetic reconstruction may be a promising treatment for peri-acetabular malignant bone tumour; however, it is associated with a high complication rate. Therefore, prosthetic design and approach of prosthetic reconstruction after tumour resection warrant study.Methods: We retrospectively analyzed 11 patients with peri-acetabular malignant bone tumours treated by personalized 3D-printed hemipelvic prostheses after en bloc resection between 2015 and 2016. Pre-operative and post-operative pain at rest was assessed according to a 10-cm VAS score. The results of functional improvement were evaluated using the MSTS-93 score at the final follow-up. We also analyzed tumour recurrence, metastases, and complications associated with the reconstruction procedure.Results: All patients were observed for six to 24 months with an average follow-up of 15.5 months. One patient had occasional pain of the involved hip at the final follow-up (VAS, pre vs. post 8 months: 3 vs. 2). The mean MSTS-93 score was 19.2 (range, 13-25). Hip dislocation was detected in two patients, while delayed wound healing occurred in one patient. One patient with mesenchymal chondrosarcoma had a left iliac bone metastasis. Local tumour recurrence was not observed.Conclusions: Reconstruction of bony defect after tumour resection using personalized 3D-printed hemipelvic prostheses can obtain acceptable functional results without severe complications. Based on previous reports and our results, we believe that reconstruction arthroplasty using 3D-printed hemipelvic prostheses will provide a promising alternative for those patients with peri-acetabular malignant bone tumours.Level Of Evidence: Level IV, therapeutic study.
