Among the technologies involved on Business Intelligence, Data Warehouse and OLAP have been widely used to identify, collect, process, integrate and analyze information for decision making, thus promoting business management. Data stored in a data warehouse used by conventional OLAP systems is structured in nature. However, data such as text documents, images and videos, characterized as semi or unstructured data, may also contain information of great value to business. In this context, we applied the systematic review methodology with the purpose of identifying, extracting and summarizing the main research results focused on the integration of unstructured data in data warehouse environments. We identified forty two studies which studies were classified in order to identify ongoing research subjects and potential gaps as future trends.

This article describes PostGeoOlap, a free software open source tool for decision support that integrates OLAP (On-Line Analytical Processing) and GIS (Geographical Information Systems). Besides describing the tool, we show how it can be used to achieve effective and low cost decision support that is adequate for small and medium companies and for small public offices.

Introduction: ADHD is a diagnosis almost always made in childhood or adolescence and oftent difficult to make it new in adults because it is not thought of in the differential diagnosis process and for the lack of experience from adult devices. - ADHD in adults is characterized by symptoms of executive dysfunction, inattention, emotional dysregulation. The symptoms of impulsivity and hyperactivity tend to be less evident. Objectives: - Frequently, the adult patient with ADHD comes to the consultation with a secondary symptom and the primary pathology is hidden and often not evident at first glance. Methods: - A 20-year-old woman, university student, with no relevant medical or psychiatric history, without toxic habits, who attended her first consultation referred by her primary care physician for long-standing insomnia, restless legs and anxiety. - The patient's underlying complaint and her bigger concern is her poor academic performance. It is striking that she has just started her third year at the university, the first year she did not pass any subjects, the second year she changed majors and only passed two, now she is repeating the course. - The examination did not reveal overt affective symptoms, nor psychotic symptoms or other notable psychopathology. The patient's speech tended towards superficiality, inconcretion, it was salty, it was difficult for her to express herself, even suggesting a certain intellectual disability. - In the first consultation sleep study is requested. And referral to clinical psychology consultation for psychometric study. Results: - She is administered Clinical interview and WAIS IV (Adult Intelligence Scale), Trail Making Test, d2 and Stroop, Diagnostic Interview for ADHD in adults (inattention items). - The WAIS-IV demonstrated global cognitive abilities within normality, although with significantly lower scores in the IMT and IVP indices which involve the functions of attention, concentration, mental control and short-term visual memory). Trail Making Test, d2, Stroop and Diagnostic Interview of ADHD in adults (inattention items) yielded profile results highly suggestive of Attention Deficit Disorder without Hyperactivity. - The insomnia subsided with a regimen of 7.5 mg of mirtazapine per day. Subsequently, after starting treatment with low-dose methylphenidate (20 mg/day), the patient improved very significantly, both academic performance and social functioning and mood, self-esteem and subjective well-being. Conclusions: - We must always include ADHD in the differential diagnosis of a young adult patient when faced with a wide variety of consultation symptoms, especially if they report some type of deterioration or dysfunction in their social, family or academic life. - An adequate clinical evaluation supported, if possible, by psychometric tests is essential to reach the diagnosis, which allows establishing an effective treatment that modifies the patient's overall prognosis. Introduction: Significant and measurable cognitive symptoms are present at the onset of the disorder and these remain stable in the subsequent period between 2 and 5 years. Their deterioration increases with the course of the disease. Attention, concentration, psychomotor speed and resolution of conceptual tasks are usually affected and are more significant in the presence of positive symptoms. Objectives: Sometimes, the typical positive or negative symptoms of the disease do not adequately reflect the severity of cognitive impairment. Measuring this deterioration can be very relevant when evaluating the severity and the prognosis of the disorder. Methods: 31-year-old male with a previous diagnosis of schizophrenia of 4 years of evolution. He gets a maintained treatment with amisulpiride 400mg with an apparent good response. A single hospitalization at the onset of the disease. An assassination attempt on his mother is done by suffocation with a pillow and observing a significant cognitive impairment despite an apparent control of the symptoms of schizophrenia. Results: An exhaustive neuropsychological evaluation is carried out, observing a very important cognitive deterioration that had not been previously detected and allowing a pharmacological adjustment of the underlying disease with global improvement of the patient. Conclusions: It is very important to evaluate the patient as a whole without forgetting the frequent cognitive damage that these patients can have. An intense neuropsychological study can be very useful to evaluate the prognosis and adequate treatment of the patient in order to reduce serious risks. Introduction: Schizophreniform Disorder is described pretty similar to schizophrenia, but with the difference of the symptoms duration which have to last for at least 1 month but less than 6 months. Patients have to be back at their baseline functional level once the disorder has resolved. This is a heterogeneous group of patients who have either a disorder similar to schizophrenia or something closer to a mood disorder. Objectives: To analyze clinical, psychopathological and epidemiological characteristics of schizophreniform disorder and also review causes, incidence, prevalence, diagnostic, therapeutic tools and the importance of maintaining the treatment, because of the abandonment of the treatment, which is a predictor of relapses. Methods: A review of the main impact literature concerning schizophreniform disorder is done during the last five years: prevalence, incidence, pathogenesis and its relationship with other psychiatric disorders encoded in DSM-V are studied. Results: The etiology is unknown. Psychotic symptoms can be treated with antipsychotics for 3 to 6 months. They usually respond faster than patients with schizophrenia (75% vs 20% respond within 8 days). Conclusions: The disease has a favorable prognosis, and has similarities with mood disorders. However, some data suggest a close relationship to schizophrenia. In support of the relationship with mood disorders, patients have more affective symptoms and a better outcome than patients with schizophrenia. Introduction: The development of anti-factor VIII neutralizing antibodies in hemophilia A is the most severe com plication related to treatment. Immune tolerance induction (ITI) is the only known treatment for eradicating inhibitors. A successful ITI allows using factor VIII (FVIII) again for the treatment or prophylaxis of hemorrhagic events., Objective: To report the experience of pediatric patients who underwent ITI in the country's public health care network., Patients and Method: Retrospective and descriptive analysis of 13 pediatric patients with severe Hemophilia A and high-titer inhibitors persis tence who underwent ITI and complete follow-up. Plasma-derived FVIII concentrate was used at 70 180 IU/kg/day doses. The success of the treatment is defined by achieving a negative titer and a half life recovery of the FVIII. The results were expressed in median (range)., Results: In 13 patients, the inhibitor was identified at an average age of 17.6 months, after 35.2 days of exposure to the FVIII. 11 patients (84.6%) recovered the half-life of FVIII after 49.6 months of treatment. In the patients who responded to treatment, the inhibitor titer was negative at 6 months on average., Conclusions: ITI is the treatment of choice for patients with hemophilia A and inhibitors persistence. ITI must be perso nalized since the time response is variable in each patient.

The production of small amounts of well-stabilized biological sludge is one of the main advantages of upflow anaerobic sludge bed (UASB) reactors over aerobic wastewater treatment systems. In this work, sludge produced in three pilot-scale UASB reactors used to treat sewage under subtropical conditions was assessed for both stability and specific methanogenic activity. Stability of primary sludge from settling tanks and digested sludge from conventional sludge digesters was also measured for comparison purposes. Kinetic parameters like the hydrolysis rate constant and the decay rate constant were calculated. High stability was observed in sludge from UASB reactors. Methanogenic activity in anaerobic sludges was relatively low, probably due to the low organic matter concentration in influent sewage. Knowledge on sludge growth rate, stability, and activity might be very useful to optimize sludge management activities in full-scale UASB reactors. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Uranium is a naturally occurring radionuclide with chemical toxicity, derived from deposits formed through complex processes. In recent years, uranium utilization activities have increased uranium levels in the soil environment, posing serious threats to soil quality, food safety, and human health. Phytoextraction of uranium contamination is currently a cutting-edge topic that has attracted significant attentions. To date, several studies have examined the behavior and impact of uranium in various aspects of its mineralization and "soil-plant" system. Accordingly, we focused on the full life cycle of uranium within the "ore-soil-root-shoot" system, based on published work from 2015 to 2024, to provide an updated review of significant research findings and theories. Here, we present the following key aspects: (i) the factors influencing uranium mineralization, including material sources, transport processes, and precipitation mechanism; (ii) both natural and anthropogenic sources that contribute uranium entry into the soil; (iii) uranium toxicity generated by its radio- and chemo-toxicities; (iv) the toxic effects of uranium and plant detoxification; (v) the internal mechanisms of uranium uptake and translocation by plant roots; and (vi) the role of transpiration in the transport of uranium from roots to the aboveground plant parts. Phytoextraction is an eco-friendly and efficient method for remediation of uranium-contaminated soils, and combined measures such as chelating agents' application and microbial inoculation are effective to obtain the satisfying results. Purpose: The study highlights gaps in AI research from the perspective of non-business users. The main aim of this article is to identify quality dimensions and signals used to evaluate the results generated by GenAI in tourism planning. Design/methodology/approach: The study employed a qualitative research methodology, specifically an exploratory focus group. Conducted in Poland in 2024, the study assessed how Generation Z representatives search for quality signals in artificial intelligence-generated content (AIGC). Findings: Using signalling theory, the signals considered in the evaluation process were identified and categorized. The study sheds light on the impact of visible signals such as links, images, and AI brands on AIGC satisfaction and how these signals relate to content quality dimensions. The findings indicate that relevant and accurate links are crucial as they help verify the information's authenticity, while irrelevant or incorrect links erode trust. Photographs enhance the plausibility of the answers and aid in visualizing attractions, though consistency and truthfulness remain vital to the quality of the response. The AI's brand, however, is deemed unimportant. Originality/value: This paper adds to the developing field of tourism planning by focusing on the use of AIGC. Moreover, it contributes to the field of human-AI interactions, and humancentred AI, by investigating how users evaluate the quality of AIGC. Orcas (Orcinus orca) are the top marine predators of the ocean, targeting multiple taxa including teleost fishes, elasmobranchs, seabirds, sea turtles, pinnipeds, odontocetes and other large cetaceans. According to their foraging strategies, genetics, acoustics, and morphology, orcas differentiate into ecotypes. Despite their cosmopolitan distribution, orcas are poorly studied in areas such as the Humboldt Current System of the Southeast Pacific coast. Since 2018 in northern Chile, presumed Type A orcas have been observed foraging on South American sea lions (Otaria byronia), benefiting from the presence of fishing vessels facilitating their hunt. These orcas were observed also pursuing large mixed groups of dusky (Lagenorhynchus obscurus) and long-beaked common dolphins (Delphinus capensis); however, predation on dusky dolphins was not documented. Here, we provide 28 additional sightings of orcas in two upwelling hotspots along northern Chile (15 around the Chañaral, Choros, and Damas Islandsin the Humboldt Penguin National Reserve from 2010-2023 and 13 in the Mejillones Peninsula from 2022-2023) and the first records of orcas effective hunting on dusky dolphins in this area. We present three new observations of orca tooth rake marks on fin whales (Balaenoptera physalus) dorsal fins in northern Chile. Furthermore, we observed the same orcas on two occasions foraging on dusky dolphins and sharing dolphin meat among group members. Overall, these observations suggest that orcas in northern Chile forage on marine mammals, especially on dusky dolphins, and the number of such predation events seems to be increasing near the coast. Karst areas in Indonesia are arid landscapes with water-use limitations because of dissolved carbonates. Long-term water scarcity stunts plant growth and often kills them. For tropical karst forestry-greening, the three best legume and three best non-legume species from a previous trial comprising 20 species were compared. Since October 2011, seedlings of the top three non-legume, species Aleurites mollucana, Sterculia foetida, and Alstonia scholaris, and three legume species, Acacia auriculiformis, Cassea seamea, and Acacia mangium, have been grown for four months. In January 2012, field trials were established at two dry karst locations, i.e., Pracimantoro, Central Java, and Bunder, Gunung Kidul Yogyakarta. A randomized block design was used to raise 1.764 seedlings at the two sites with 7x7 plots, 3x3 spacing between trees, and three blocks. After 10 months, legumes and non-legumes differed greatly in all growth parameters. These disparities lasted up to 30 months, when trees should have adapted to their new surroundings. After seven years of planting, legume trees raised the soil's organic matter concentration from low to medium, making it more fertile, similar to soil from intensive agricultural regions. Thus, early or mixed legume plantings on tropical karst sites may aid in better re-greening than the establishment of non-legumes. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Background: Anti‐Müllerian Hormone (AMH) serves as a crucial parameter in assessing the reproductive herd life and ovarian reserve in cattle. Consequently, extensive research is conducted on AMH levels. Various measurement methods can be employed to determine AMH levels. However, to our knowledge, no study has been conducted on Holstein donors using the Elecsys® AMH kit. Objective: This study was designed to determine AMH levels in donors utilising the Elecsys® AMH kit and to evaluate the relationship between superovulation response parameters and AMH levels. Methods: In this study, we measured the serum AMH levels of 36 cows using the Elecsys® AMH automated assay before the superovulation protocol (1st sample) and FSH injections (2nd sample). The cows were categorised into three groups based on their AMH levels: low, medium, and high AMH. Results: Positive correlations were identified between AMH and parameters associated with superovulation response. The high AMH level group exhibited significantly greater numbers of corpus luteum, total embryos, transferable embryos, and grade 1 embryos compared to the medium and low AMH groups (p < 0.05) There was no significant difference between AMH levels before the superovulation protocol and FSH injections(p > 0.05). Body condition score and parity did not significantly affect AMH levels in cows (p > 0.05). Also, AMH cut‐off values for the number of corpus luteum, total embryo, and transferable embryos were detected as 234, 227, and 210 pg/mL, respectively. Conclusion: These findings demonstrate that a high serum AMH level has a positive influence on the superovulation response. Introduction: Mechanical sensitive channels expressed in mammalian retinas are effectors of elevated pressure stresses, but it is unclear how their activation affects visual function in pressure-related retinal disorders. Methods: This study investigated the role of the transient potential channel vanilloid TRPV4 in photoreceptors and rod bipolar cells (RBCs) with immunohistochemistry, confocal microscopy, electroretinography (ERG), and patch-clamp techniques. Results: TRPV4 immunoreactivity (IR) was found in the outer segments of photoreceptors, dendrites and somas of PKCa-positive RBCs and other BCs, plexiform layers, and retinal ganglion cells (RGCs) in wild-type mice. TRPV4-IR was largely diminished in the retinas of homozygous TRPV4 transgenic mice. Genetically suppressing TRPV4 expression moderately but significantly enhanced the amplitude of ERG a- and b-waves evoked by scotopic and mesopic lights (0.55 to 200 Rh*rod-1 s-1) and photopic lights (105-106 Rh*rod-1 s-1) compared to wildtype mice in fully dark-adapted conditions. The implicit time evoked by dim lights (0.55 to 200 Rh*rod-1 s-1) was significantly decreased for b-waves and elongated for a-waves in the transgenic mice. ERG b-wave evoked by dim lights is primarily mediated by RBCs, and under voltage-clamp conditions, the latency of the lightevoked cation current in RBCs of the transgenic mice was significantly shorter compared to wild-type mice. About 10% of the transgenic mice had one eye undeveloped, and the percentage was significantly higher than in wild-type mice. Conclusions: The data indicates that TRPV4 involves ocular development and is expressed and active in outer retinal neurons, and interventions of TRPV4 can variably affect visual signals in rods, cones, RBCs, and cone ON BCs. Introduction: Excessive internet and mobile cell phone use has been increasing in recent years especially in teenagers who are a vulnerable population. However, there is a lack of psychometric evaluation of instruments that allow to identify behavior regarding problematic use of the internet and cell phones in the Latin America, particularly in Ecuador. The main aim of this study is to examine the psychometric properties of two instruments: the Internet-related experiences questionnaire (IREQ) and Mobile-related experiences questionnaire (MREQ) in high school students (n = 4, 174, Mage = 15.63; 51.19% male and 48.37% female). Methods: The validation process was performed using one and two factors for both questionnaires according to previous literature. After checking the models proposed to date, the best fit model was the one-factor model for (IREQ) and one-factor model for (MREQ). Results and discussion: The invariance was performed using two samples according to gender (male, female) and has been confirmed with an acceptable internal consistency for both questionnaires. For IREQ (All, ω = 0.80; Male, ω = 0.77; Female, ω = 0.82) and for MREQ (All, ω = 0.83; Male, ω = 0.82; Female, ω = 0.84). In addition, we performed the correlation analysis between IREQ, MREQ, and socio-demographic variables and finally, both instruments demonstrated strong psychometric qualities within the local population. Objective: Various demographic factors, including sex, socioeconomic status, and immigration status, have been linked to disparities in healthcare outcomes. Despite efforts by healthcare providers to address these inequities, interventions are not always effective. The present investigation provides empirical insights from Germany focusing on patients with systemic connective tissue disorders, highlighting the need for evaluated strategies to mitigate healthcare disparities., Methods: A 10% random sample of 2006-2016 routine data on patients with systemic connective tissue disorders (ICD-10 M30-M36) is used. The sample included information on 1819 patients. The primary outcome assessed was the persistence of impairment following rehabilitation treatment. Logistic regression models were employed to adjust for demographic confounders. Interaction analyses were conducted to explore variations in disparities across different time periods and diagnostic groups., Results: Non-German nationals were at 87% higher odds of impairment after treatment compared to German nationals (adjusted odds ratio [aOR] = 1.87; 95% confidence interval [CI] = 1.22-2.86). Furthermore, patients employed in semi-skilled or unskilled positions demonstrated a 40% greater chance of poor outcomes compared to those in skilled occupations (aOR = 1.40; 95% CI = 1.03-1.90). Disparities in outcomes did not significantly vary across different years in which services were utilized., Conclusion: The study demonstrates disparities in healthcare outcomes associated with various diversity characteristics. These disparities are likely due to the different obstacles that some disadvantaged population groups encounter in the healthcare system. The study of numerical sequences usually focuses on the use of symbols or finding generalizations, that is, a more formal notation. However, there is several research on the different representations, but little research in representations that we consider as drawings and illustrations and that, in general, are commonly used in textbooks when both a numerical sequence and a figurative sequence are shown. The present research with a qualitative approach sought to identify the representations of sequences contained in Middle school textbooks. Nine textbooks were analyzed using the theoretical-methodological proposal known as Mathematical Content Analysis, where 28 different figures were found to represent a numerical sequence. The findings showed that there are three types of representations in the textbooks analyzed: abstract figures, real figures, and pictorial figures. Objective: To evaluate low- and high-dilution homeopathic products in the incidence of Moniliophthora roreri in cacao plants. Design/Methodology/Approach: The plantation was studied using a randomized block design with three repetitions and six treatments: Homeopathic nosode 12C and 200C, Cacao homeopathic combination remedy 12C and 200C, water control, and control sample, with applications every 15 days. The studied variables were: Number of flowers, number of healthy and diseased cherelles, number of healthy and diseased pods, ripe pod weight, fresh grain weight, and leaf color. Results: A significant difference was observed in the number of flowers with Cacao combined remedy 200C during November-December 2018. A significant difference was observed in leaf color with Cacao combined remedy 200C during October 2018-January 2019 and with Cacao combine remedy 12C in October 2018. No significant difference was found in treatments for number of healthy and diseased cherelles, number of healthy and diseased pods, ripe pod weight, and fresh grain weight. Study limitations/Implications: The treatment application period was short. In order to obtain more convincing results, a one-year application period prior to evaluation is suggested. Findings/Conclusions: The Cacao combined remedy 200C had a positive effect on the number of flowers during the period in which flowering decreases due to environmental conditions and on leaf greenness during four consecutive months of evaluation. Cacao homeopathic combination remedy 12C showed a significant difference for the latter variable only in October 2018.
