Objective: This study aimed to analyze research on anxiety disorders using VOSviewer and CiteSpace to identify research hotspots and future directions. Methods: We conduct ed a comprehensive search on the Web of Science Core Collection (WoSCC) for relevant studies about anxiety disorders published within the past two decades (from 2004 to 2024). VOSviewer and CiteSpace were mainly used to analyze the authors, institutions, countries, publishing journals, reference co-citation patterns, keyword co-occurrence, keyword clustering, and other aspects to construct a knowledge atlas. Results: A total of 22,267 publications related to anxiety disorders were retrieved. The number of publications about anxiety disorders has generally increased over time, with some fluctuations. The United States emerged as the most productive country, with Harvard University identified as the most prolific institution and Brenda W. J. H. Penninx as the most prolific author in the field. Conclusion: This research identified the most influential publications, authors, journals, institutions, and countries in the field of anxiety research. Future research directions are involved advanced treatments based on pharmacotherapy, psychotherapy and digital interventions, mechanism exploration to anxiety disorders based on neurobiological and genetic basis, influence of social and environmental factors on the onset of anxiety disorders.

BackgroundEpilepsy ranks among the most common neurological disorders worldwide, frequently accompanied by depression as a prominent comorbidity. This study employs bibliometric analysis to reveal the research of comorbid epilepsy and depression over the past two decades, aiming to explore trends and contribute insights to ongoing investigations.MethodsWe conducted a comprehensive search on the Web of Science Core Collection database and downloaded relevant publications on comorbid epilepsy and depression published from 2003 to 2023. VOSviewer and CiteSpace were mainly used to analyze the authors, institutions, countries, publishing journals, reference co-citation patterns, keyword co-occurrence, keyword clustering, and other aspects to construct a knowledge atlas.ResultsA total of 5,586 publications related to comorbid epilepsy and depression were retrieved, with a general upward trend despite slight fluctuations in annual publications. Publications originated from 121 countries and 636 institutions, with a predominant focus on clinical research. The United States led in productivity (1,529 articles), while Melbourne University emerged as the most productive institution (135 articles). EPILEPSY & BEHAVIOR was the journal with the highest publication output (1,189 articles) and citation count. Keyword analysis highlighted emerging trends, including “recognitive impairment” and “mental health,” indicating potential future research hotspots and trends.ConclusionThis study is one of the first to perform a bibliometric analysis of the 20-year scientific output of comorbid epilepsy and depression. While research has trended upwards, ambiguity in pathogenesis and the absence of standardized diagnostic guidelines remain concerning. Our analysis offers valuable guidance for researchers, informing that this might be a strong area for future collaborations.

An improved Hulburt‐Hirschfelder (IHH) quantum mechanical anharmonic oscillator model which describes the exact analytical potential energy curves (PECs) of diatomic molecules is presented. The IHH analytical potential function that involves a variable parameter, four empirically determined low‐order molecular vibrational and rotational spectral constants and the dissociation energy was applied to the ground electronic states of HF and HCl, yielding a good agreement between the Rydberg‐Klein‐Rees (RKR) potential energy points and the calculations. Correspondingly, with the determined IHH PECs, the partition functions at temperatures 300–6000 Kelvin (K) and rovibrational line intensities are evaluated, and coincide well with those quoted in the HITRAN2020 database compilation. The methodology could be valuable for the detection of molecules in interstellar clouds using infrared spectroscopy, as well as thermochemical reactions. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

IMPORTANCE Uncertainty remains about the efficacy of folic acid therapy for the primary prevention of stroke because of limited and inconsistent data. OBJECTIVE To test the primary hypothesis that therapy with enalapril and folic acid is more effective in reducing first stroke than enalapril alone among Chinese adults with hypertension. DESIGN. SETTING, a n d PARTICIPANTS The China Stroke Primary Prevention Trial, a randomized, double-blind clinical trial conducted from May 19,2008, to August 24,2013, in 32 communities in Jiangsu and Anhui provinces in China. A total of 20 702 adults with hypertension without history of stroke or myocardial infarction (Ml) participated in the study. INTERVENTIONS Eligible participants, stratified by MTHFR C677T genotypes (CC, CT, and TT), were randomly assigned to receive double-blind daily treatment with a single-pill combination containing enalapril, 10 mg, and folic acid, 0.8 mg (n = 10 348) or a tablet containing enalapril, 10 mg, alone (n = 10 354). MAIN OUTCOMES AND MEASURES The primary outcome was first stroke. Secondary outcomes included first ischemic stroke; first hemorrhagic stroke; Ml; a composite of cardiovascular events consisting of cardiovascular death, Ml, and stroke; and all-cause death. RESULTS During a median treatment duration of 4.5 years, compared with the enalapril alone group, the enalapril-folic acid group had a significant risk reduction in first stroke (2.7% of participants in the enalapril-folic acid group vs 3.4% in the enalapril alone group; hazard ratio [HR], 0.79; 95% Cl, 0.68-0.93), first ischemic stroke (2.2% with enalapril-folic acid vs 2.8% with enalapril alone; HR, 0.76; 95% Cl, 0.64-0.91), and composite cardiovascular events consisting of cardiovascular death, Ml, and stroke (3.1% with enalapril-folic acid vs 3.9% with enalapril alone; HR, 0.80; 95% Cl, 0.69-0.92). The risks of hemorrhagic stroke (HR, 0.93; 95% Cl, 0.65-1.34), Ml (HR, 1.04; 95% Cl, 0.60-1.82), and all-cause deaths (HR, 0.94; 95% Cl, 0.81-1.10) did not differ significantly between the 2 treatment groups. There were no significant differences between the 2 treatment groups in the frequencies of adverse events. CONCLUSIONS AND RELEVANCE Among adults with hypertension in China without a history of stroke or Ml, the combined use of enalapril and folic acid, compared with enalapril alone, significantly reduced the risk of first stroke. Aim: To investigate whether IDH1R132C mutant in combination with loss of p53 and activated Notch signaling promotes intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma (ICC) development., Methods: We applied hydrodynamic injection and sleeping beauty mediated somatic integration to induce loss of p53 (via shP53), activation of Notch [via intracellular domain of Notch1 (NICD)] and/or overexpression of IDH1R132C mutant together with the sleeping beauty transposase into the mouse liver. Specifically, we co-expressed shP53 and NICD (shP53/NICD, n = 4), shP53 and IDH1R132C (shP53/IDH1R132C, n = 3), NICD and IDH1R132C (NICD/IDH1R132C, n = 4), as well as NICD, shP53 and IDH1R132C (NICD/shP53/IDH1R132C, n = 9) in mice. Mice were monitored for liver tumor development and euthanized at various time points. Liver histology was analyzed by hematoxylin and eosin staining. Molecular features of NICD/shP53/IDH1R132C ICC tumor cells were characterized by Myc tag, Flag tag, Ki-67, p-Erk and p-AKT immunohistochemical staining. Desmoplastic reaction in tumor tissues was studied by Picro-Sirius red staining., Results: We found that co-expression of shP53/NICD, shP53/IDH1R132C or NICD/IDH1R132C did not lead to liver tumor formation. In striking contrast, co-expression of NICD/shP53/IDH1R132C resulted in ICC development in mice (P < 0.01). The tumors could be identified as early as 12 wk post hydrodynamic injection. Tumors rapidly progressed, and by 18 wk post hydrodynamic injection, multiple cystic lesions could be identified on the liver surface. NICD/shP53/IDH1R132C liver tumors shared multiple histological features of human ICCs, including hyperplasia of irregular glands. Importantly, all tumor cells were positive for the biliary epithelial cell marker cytokeratin 19. Extensive collagen fibers could be visualized in tumor tissues using Sirus red staining, duplicating the desmoplastic reaction observed in human ICC. Tumors were highly proliferative and expressed ectopically injected genes. Together these studies supported that NICD/shP53/IDH1R132C liver tumors were indeed ICCs. Finally, no p-AKT or p-ERK positive staining was observed, suggesting that NICD/shP53/IDH1R132C driven ICC development was independent of AKT/mTOR and Ras/MAPK signaling cascades., Conclusion: We have generated a simple, non-germline murine ICC model with activated Notch, loss of p53 and IDH1R132C mutant. The study supported the oncogenic potential of IDH1R132C.
