La poética de la imaginación, propuesta por Gilbert Durand, es, sin duda, una de las grandes teorías aplicadas a la literatura. Pero ¿y si también pudiera aplicarse a la música? El objetivo de esta investigación es el estudio de la poética de la imaginación a través del análisis de un texto literario y su equivalente composición musical. Para ello, hemos optado por aplicar la poética de la imaginación al cuento Cascanueces y el rey de los ratones, del autor literario E. T. A. Hoffmann, y al ballet El Cascanueces, del compositor musical Piotr Ilich Tchaikovsky. De esta manera, en cuanto a los resultados, gracias a la poética de la imaginación, estudiaremos no solo la profunda simbología que presenta el Cascanueces literario de Hoffmann, sino que además comprobaremos, a través del ballet de Tchaikovsky, que la poética de la imaginación es imprescindible para comprender los distintos símbolos y significados que nos ofrece la música. RESUMEN BIOGRÁFICO: Paula del Brío Fernández, perteneciente a la Universidad de Valladolid (UVa), ha terminado los estudios del Grado en Español: Lengua y Literatura (2018-2022). También es titulada en el Grado Profesional de Música, en la especialidad de piano, en el Conservatorio Profesional Pianísimo de Valladolid (2010-2020). Posteriormente, ha cursado, en la Universidad de Valladolid, el Máster de Literatura española y Estudios literarios en relación con las artes, donde ha realizado varios trabajos de investigación en los que ha estudiado el vínculo existente entre la Literatura y la Música, dedicándole una atención especial al estudio de la Retórica en la Música (Trabajo Fin de Máster). El propósito de la investigadora es la continuación de esta labor retórico-musical mediante los estudios de Doctorado en la Universidad de Valladolid. Entre sus méritos académicos, se encuentra la beca de colaboración (curso 2021-2022) otorgada por el Ministerio de Educación con la que la investigadora pudo llevar a cabo su primer estudio acerca de la presencia de la Retórica en la Música (Trabajo Fin de Grado). Además, la doctoranda cuenta con la publicación de la reseña “Palabras que son vida. El placer de pensar”, de Luis Alberto de Cuenca, publicada en la revista Castilla. Además, participará próximamente en el I Congreso Internacional de Estudios Literarios (Littera) “Leer e interpretar la literatura en el siglo XXI” (25 y 26 de enero de 2024, Universidad de Las Palmas de Gran Canaria).

The 14th-century Dominican theologian and philosopher Durand of Saint-Pourçain was among the intellectuals who took part in the medieval debate on virginity, especially on the relationship between virginity and marriage. This paper discusses a question of his Sentences Commentary (Super Sent., II, d. 20, q. 2), in which Durand poses the question of “whether or not there would have been a loss of virginity in marriage” (utrum in actu matrimoniali fuisset amissio virginitatis) both in statu innocentiae and in statu post peccatum. This paper shows how Durand’s solution to the problem is in opposition to Augustine’s and Thomas Aquinas’s views, based on formal and material aspects of virginity.

The relationship between Afghanistan and Pakistan has long been caught in a complex security predicament rooted in Afghanistan's refusal to recognize the Durand Line as the official international boundary between the two countries, and its territorial claims extending into Pakistani territory across the Durand Line. This security dilemma has euolued, taking on uarious facets due to several factors, including developments in their bilateral relations and regional dynamics. Political and securityrelated developments are intrinsically intertwined with the two nations' interference in each other's internal matters. Afghanistan's pursuit of the 'Pashtunistan' cause, its establishment of ties with India, and support for the Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) haue exacerbated this security conundrum. Pakistan, in response, undertook measures to counter Muhammad Daoud Khan 's attempts to meddle in its internal affairs, participated in the Afghan jihad against the Souiet Union and the subsequent civil war, and later aligned itself with the United States during the American invasion of Afghanistan, all of which haue engendered discontent among the Afghan populace. This paper aims to elucidate the intricate interplay of these developments and factors in perpetuating the enduring security dilemma in Afghanistan-Pakistan relations. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The Dominican theologian Durand of Saint-Pourçain (ca. 1275–1334), breaking from the wide consensus, made a two-pronged attack on concurrentism (i.e., the theory according to which God does more than conserving creatures in existence and co-causes all their actions). On the one hand, he shows that the concurrentist position leads to the unacceptable consequence that God is the direct cause of man’s evil actions. On the other hand, he attacks the metaphysical foundations of concurrentism, first in the version offered by Thomas Aquinas and Giles of Rome, and then in a more general way. Against Thomas and Giles, he challenges Neoplatonic assumptions about causality and being. More generally, he establishes that God’s action and a creature’s action can be neither identical nor different, and thus cannot both be direct causes of the same effect. Without claiming that Durand’s series of objections are definitely unanswerable, we may at least observe that they have generally been underestimated (which earned him the lowly role of the mere foil of the concurrentist view in the history of philosophy) and are able to do considerable damage to concurrentism.

O presente artigo expõe, sinteticamente, a teoria de Gilbert Durand sobre a imaginação simbólica. abordando a noção de símbolo e a perspectiva histórico-crítica de tendências hermenêuticas recentes. Aponta, inicialmente, o autor as contribuições de Freud, de Lévi-Strauss, de Jung, de BacheÉard para a hermenêutica do símbolo. Passa, então. a examinar a teoria geral do imaginário de Durand, afirmando a presença da estruturação simbólica na raiz de todo e qualquer pensamento e devolvendo à imagem dignidade ontológica e gnoseológica, Segundo o autor, Durand constrói, dessa forma, uma filosofia do imaginário que o próprio Durand denomina “fantástica transcendental".

Gilbert Durand tratou de ampliar a investigação de Bachelard a respeito da psicanálise do fogo, na direção de uma hermenêutica simbólica que põe em destaque a linguagem mítica, considerando-a como o horizonte último de toda linguagem. The paper dwells upon the study and systematization of bibliographic data on the biography, life path and scientific activity of the modern French scientist Gilbert Durand. The author focuses on the outstanding personality of modern sociological science, particularly the sociology of the imaginary. Based on the study of information sources, mainly electronic resources of universities, and organizations, the founder or member of which was G. Durand, including French Association of Friends of Gilbert Durand international intellectual partnership “Eranos”, the author drawn up the biography of the scientist, provided a review of his academic activity and scientific works. Books, monographs, and articles by Durand have been popular not only in the scientific environment but for over sixty years they are translated into different languages and published in different countries of the world. The electronic publications of his works are shared, their popularity in the context of modern transformations is growing, circle of researchers and followers is expanding. In 2021, on the initiative and direct participation of the Ukrainian School of Archetypes (USHA), a Ukrainian translation and publication of his fundamental work “Anthropological Structures of Imaginary” were made in Ukraine. The Ukrainian scientific community actively participated in international events on the 100th anniversary of the scientist in 2021, as it has become not only a tribute to the great French thinker but also a contribution to the further development and popularization of his ideas in Ukraine.

The mythoanalytical transformation of leadership in the context of modern concepts is analysed. The development of Ukrainian society is undergoing constant changes that require new leaders who can ensure constructive change. In the field of public administration, special attention needs to be paid to the issue of leadership, which is related to the generation of innovations and their implementation, resource issues of self-organisation. The theoretical foundations of leadership are considered, considering the main archetypal theories. The typology of M. Weber’s leadership is revealed based on the sense of social approval and expressed trust and reveals the following leadership legitimacy: traditional, charismatic, and rational-legal. The key differences between the concepts of “leader” and “manager” are highlighted. O. Neuberger’s typology of archetypal patterns of leadership is outlined, and their timeless, structural manifestations and determinants of interactions are revealed. Possibilities of applying the basic ideas of Durand’s sociology in modern concepts of leadership through the representation of symbolic structures that create meaning, structuring the basic guidelines of experience and actions, depending on individual interpretive abilities and continuous exchange between man and culture, demonstrating powerful psychoenergetic potential. The possibility of using a sociological approach to outline the determinants of leadership activity is substantiated. This approach is based on the ideas of psychoanalysis, deep psychology, structural and political anthropology, phenomenology, and ethology. It is noted that the fundamental concept of Durand’s theory of imagination is the imaginary. Peculiarities in applying mythoanalysis to public administration in the context of transformational leadership are considered. Leadership’s cognitive and emotional assets are considered to substantiate modern leaders’ innovation and self-realisation potential. Features of the mythocritical and mythoanalytical method of G. Durand are presented.

Fondé en 1966 à l'Université de Savoie, le premier Centre de Recherches sur l'Imaginaire a marqué, sans doute, un tournant dans l'histoire des études sur l’imaginaire au XXe siècle. Pendant les années 1960 et 1970 les chercheurs du C.R.I. Chambérien/Grenoblois ont cherché à collecter et organiser diverses informations sur les imaginaires de l’Occident et de l’Orient, ce qui a permis de créer une riche base de données. Au fil du temps, le C.R.I. a connu plusieurs transformations, au risque parfois de menacer l'exploitation des informations accumulées et stockées. Le présent travail cherchera à montrer que la documentation historique léguée par les anciens chercheurs de l’imaginaire nous invite aujourd’hui à réexaminer le contexte intellectuel et culturel français et international auquel le C.R.I appartenait. Par là nous voulons contribuer à une synthèse historique et épistémologique des recherches sur l'imaginaire au XXème siècle, qui sert aussi de fondement à notre étude sur le développement de ces recherches en France et au Brésil.
