Bakalářská práce se zaměří na zkoumání románového cyklu Vlastimila Vondrušky Letopisy královské komory, který vychází od roku 2006 (dosud 13 svazků). Vondruškova díla, zasazená do období druhé čtvrtiny 16. století, spadají do žánru tzv. historické detektivky. Cílem bakalářské práce bude srovnání fikčního světa Vondruškových románů se současnou interpretací historických událostí a reálií dané doby. Metodologicky bude práce postavena na naratologické analýze literárního textu a na komparaci jejích výsledků se současným historiografickým výzkumem., This Bachelor thesis focuses on research of Vlastimil Vondruška’s novel cycle King‘s chamber chronicles which started publishing since 2006 (13 volumes so far).Vondruška’s work is set in 16th century second quarter and falls into historical detective story genre. The goal of this thesis will be a comparison of a fictional world of Vondruška’s novels to a current interpretation of historical events and realities of a given time period. This thesis argues that historical memory plays a crucial role in the politics of nation-building and cultural control, using the context of Czechoslovakia under communism. Combining theoretical approaches drawn from the study of nationalism and memory politics, this thesis examines the power dynamics of glorifying or erasing certain moments in a nation’s past and considers the extent to which history, or a memory of it, defines the national identity. By analyzing the changes in commemoration as Czechoslovakia transitioned into a communist system, the malleability of the past becomes clear, as does the impact of the past upon the present and future. Rhetoric and commemoration of different formative moments of the Czech past demonstrate how the Czechoslovak communist government used historical memory as a political tool to build and rebuild the Czech national identity.

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá zobrazením české společnosti ve druhé polovině 19. století a počátku 20. století v historických detektivních románech Marie Mackové a Viléma Křížka. Práce zkoumá využití motivů konkrétních dobových sociálních jevů a porovnává je s výsledky historiografického výzkumu, jak je odráží odborná literatura. Práce se dále zabývá naratologickou analýzou textů a komparací literární fikce a historické narace. Cílem práce je na základě provedených analýz postihnout, jak vybraná díla zobrazují dobovou českou společnost., The bachelor thesis deals with the depiction of Czech society in the second half of 19th century and in the beginning of 20th century in historical mysteries which are written by Marie Macková and Vilém Křížek. The thesis examines the use of motives of social phenomena and compares them with the results of historiographic research as it is reflected in the secondary literature. The thesis also covers narratological analysis of texts and the comparison of literary fiction and historical narration. Th e study follows the changes in the picture of the circumstances surrounding the origin of the Czechoslovak Republic and the course of the day Oct 28, 1918 in Czech history textbooks from 1920-2013. Th e changes between the texts from the interwar years and those published aft er February 1948 are clear in the degree of att ention paid to the activities of the foreign resistance, the actions of its main representatives, deployment of the Czechoslovak legions, and the personalities of the domestic resistance. While in the older “Eurozone” works these themes were given widespread coverage, in the textbooks from the Socialist period certain facts were reduced to a minimum. Readers were deprived of the names of those who came to the head of the newly created ‘bourgeois’ state, since the ‘working people’ were identifi ed as the creators of independence. The textbooks of the last twenty-fi ve years are marked by the objectivity and balance of the information and themes covered in them; in addition they adopt a multi-perspective approach. Th e empirical research confi rms that since Oct 28, 1918 was the beginning of the evaluated period of Czech history, so the most signifi cant of the creators of our independence hold a dominant place in the Czech national memory. The signifi cance of the national holiday by which we commemorate the birth of the independent state is not given the importance it had in the fi rst twenty years of the existence of the CSR. However, we see as encouraging the fi nding that many young people emphasize the need to remember the democratic tradition of our past, as well as the personalities who belong to it.

Tato diplomová práce se zaměřuje na vývoj detektivních románů autora Václava Erbena, které vycházely v průběhu let 1964-2001. Ústřední postavou všech příběhů je postava osobitého kapitána JUDr. Michala Exnera, který s nadhledem a elegancí řeší jednotlivé případy. Prostřednictvím analýz a komparací jednotlivých detektivních románů zjistíme, jak se autor vypořádal s formálními a obsahovými proměnami, které museli nastat díky širokému časovému období, kdy celá série vznikala. Cílem práce je popsat a zhodnotit vývoj české detektivní prózy druhé poloviny dvacátého století na příkladu třinácti dílné detektivní série s přihlédnutím na kulturní, sociální a politické souvislosti., This thesis is focused on evolution of detective novels written by Václav Erben published in years 1964-2001. Main character all of the stories is distinctive figure of captain JUDr. Michal Exner, who solve with overlook and elegance individual cases. Thanks to long time period when was created the serie of all detective novels stories we can pay attention on author´s formal and contains changes by use analyses and comparations. The purpose of the thesis is describe and evaluate development of czech detective prose of second half of twentieth century and we based it on thirteen novels written by Václav Erben and our attention will be paid mainly on on cultural, social and political context., Fakulta filozofická, 1.
