Abstract
- This article discusses the origins, goals, and ongoing development of a high-school-based archival program, emphasizing the critical role of school-university collaboration in facilitating the program's success. The Hunterdon Central Regional High School Archives has initiated programs to collect and document institutional history, highlighted by its leadership of the school's fiftieth anniversary celebration. This article details the Archives' collaboration with the Rutgers University Special Collections and University Archives regarding development of archival policies and practices. Funding mechanisms, operational procedures, outreach programs, and future goals are discussed, along with use of archival resources within social studies classroom instruction.
