The Changing Demand for Improved Acoustics in Our Schools.

This article discusses the increasing number of students with hearing impairments in general education classrooms due to the higher incidence of students with hearing loss in general and changes in school placement decisions. The increasing noise in classrooms because of hands-on activities and the consequent effects on learning are explored. (Contains references.) (CR)
