Abstract
- Discusses shortcomings of the school curriculum, suggesting that students' long-term education interests are not fully served as long as teachers' freedom and creativity are limited and technical values are prioritized over humane ones. Presents cameos of children whose schooling spans the twentieth century to illustrate these shortcomings. (JPB)
