Abstract

Estimates an earnings function for urban wage earners in Turkey together with a wage-earner choice education. Returns to education and probability of wage-earner participation increase with schooling level for both men and women wage earners, but returns to women are somewhat smaller. The highest returns are to younger men, particularly vocational and technical high school graduates. Vocational and technical education opportunities should be expanded. (MLH)
