Abstract

A womanist perspective on adult education seeks to give voice to all. It is based on the following: concrete experience is a criterion of meaning; dialog is the basis for assessing knowledge claims; an ethic of caring emphasizes individual uniqueness; and an ethic of personal accountability guides teaching and learning.
