Abstract
- Presents strategies to help teachers keep elementary classrooms free of sex-role stereotyping. The article explains how to set the tone, observe classroom behavior, share nonsexist lessons, provide role models, modify sexist statements, connect with parents, discuss female heroes, reverse traditional roles, use nonsexist photo files, and make role reversal collages.
