Underdevelopment in the U.S. Labor Market: The Case of African American Female Workers.

The work experience of the African-American woman is often overlooked. In this article, the development/underdevelopment model, usually applied to the depressed situation of the Third World, is used to assess the dynamics of race, class, and gender for African-American females in the labor market.
