Abstract

Compares 49 homeless with 81 housed female-headed families in Boston. The following variables are examined: (1) general characteristics of mothers and children; (2) mother's childhood; (3) mother's relationships; and (4) mother's health/mental health status. Solutions to family homelessness include housing provision, income maintenance, and assistance in rebuilding supportive relationships. (Author/BJV)
