Abstract
- Discusses liberalism in America, with emphasis on the liberal commitment to individualism. The political values of librarians are considered in this context, and it is argued that, although librarians perpetuate the myth that librarianship is apolitical, it reflects a general American culture that consists primarily of liberal tenets.
