Communication in the Health Profession: A Survey.

Survey results indicate that (1) nurses, dentists, and doctors consider communication training valuable and also necessary at several educational levels and (2) most health professionals receive their communication training from instructors outside the speech communication discipline. Calls for more involvement by speech communication educators. (PD)
