Teacher Power and Settings for Innovation: A Response to Brown and McIntyre's 'Influences upon Teachers' Attitudes to Different Types of Innovation.'

In a study of innovation implementation in Scotland, researchers found that it occurred idiosyncratically. They concluded that changes in working patterns in schools are essential. Discussing these findings, this author concludes that changes will occur because of teacher initiatives, not external innovations. (MD)
