Sex Similarities in Occupational Status Attainment: Are the Results Due to the Restriction of the Sample to Employed Women?

Abstract
- This paper suggests that one potential source of bias in estimating equations for women's occupational attainments is due to the exclusion of nonworking women from the equation. A technique is presented which allows for an estimate of the structural parameters for all married women, regardless of their employment status. (Author/EB)
