Collaborating Careers: The Differential Effects of Race

Abstract

Male and female black undergraduates responded to five stories about married black physicians. Results are compared with a study of predominantly white students. Black females favored maternal child care even when this reduced the family income. Results are discussed relevant to collaborating career patterns among middle-class black families. (Author)
