DEC at the Intersection: Cultivating Opportunities for Authentic Parent/Caregiver Participation

The first Early Intervention Conference was in Georgia in August of 2023. The first day of the conference was a tremendous success. Attendees called their friends and colleagues encouraging them to attend the following day. There was evidence of enthusiasm and enjoyment throughout the venue from snippets of networking conversations to selfies being taken. The planning team was delighted when they were informed on day 2 of the conference that the Georgia Department of Public Health was so pleased that the 2024 conference was already approved. This article details the planning of the 2024 conference.
