Abstract

Argues that chemistry has major implications for our understanding of the nature of things including ourselves. Illustrations have been drawn from the chemical elements, chemical equilibria, and chemical entropy. Chemistry should not be presented as something justified only by its practical results while the other sciences raise the ultimate questions about the nature of things. (Author/PR)
