Abstract

The paper deals with the issues of the cultural and linguistic diversity of Indian schools. The influence international policies and national policies, provision to preserve the linguistic and cultural diversity in classroom and schools. The role of education to preserve the linguistic and cultural diversity needs in schools. Based on various data from India and other UN agencies on issues of preserving and sustaining the cultural and linguistic diversity. The data provides, more than 50% of the world's languages are located in just eight countries: India, Brazil, Mexico, Australia, Indonesia, Nigeria, Papua New Guinea, and Cameroon. These countries are in threats losing its native language or in other words falling in the categories endanger language The author has provided educational suggestions and recommendation for reserving linguistic and cultural diversity in schools.
