Examining the Relationship Between Information Acquisition, Entrepreneurial Opportunity Recognition, and Innovation Performance in the High Technology Sector in Taiwan

The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationships between information acquisition, entrepreneurial opportunity recognition, and innovation performance in the high technology sector in Taiwan. The results suggest that both information acquisition and entrepreneurial opportunity recognition positively contribute to individual-level and firm-level innovation performance. Information acquisition and entrepreneurial opportunity recognition were significantly positively correlated. Finally, information acquisition accounted for more variance than entrepreneurial opportunity recognition in both individual-level and firm-level innovation performance.
