Abstract
- This report provides general statistical information about San Antonio College (Texas). Section 1, Overview, offers a brief history, mission statement, outstanding former students, academic programs, and accreditation/affiliations. Twelve academic departments, offering 60 degree and certificate programs are identified. Section 2, Organizational Charts, contains charts for the entire college and each of the six divisions. Section 3 provides brief descriptions of the divisions, including Arts & Sciences; Occupational & Technical Education; Continuing Education and Workforce Development; Evening, Weekend & Distance Education; Student Services; and the Learning Resource Center. Section 4, Institutional Resources, describes instructional technologies and learning resources available, including an inventory table and computer center usage. Section 5, Transfer, provides information on the Tech Prep/Associate Degree program and lists the 18 four-year institutions with 2+2 agreements. Section 6, Student Profile, offers data on student demographics, majors, residence, educational experience and objectives, financial aid, academic achievement and degrees awarded. In fall 1998, 20,068 students were enrolled (42.7% male, 57.3% female; 50.8% Hispanic, 40.7% white, 4.4% black, 4.1% other). Section 7, contains enrollment trends from 1989-99. Subsections for Developmental Education and Continuing Education are included. Section 8, Personnel Profile, contains profiles and statistical information on faculty and employees. Finally, Section 9, Financial Profile, focuses on tuition and fees, revenues and expenditures. (RDG)
