Bulgaria and Romania: Lessons. Fulbright-Hays Summer Seminar Abroad 1996 (Bulgaria and Romania).

This paper presents seven lessons intended to increase the cultural awareness of middle school students concerning life in Bulgaria, Romania, and other parts of the world. The lessons include: (1) "Getting Acquainted, Letter Writing"; (2) "Learning English as a Second Language"; (3) "Newspaper Sharing"; (4) "Monastery Comparison"; (5) "Comparisons of Monasteries with California Missions"; (6) "Comparative Forms of Government"; (7) "Comparison of Land Use and Environmental Standards"; and (8) "Comparison of Architecture."
