A Landscape of Concerns: A Resource Reference of Position Papers.

This resource reference of position papers on children's issues is for organizations and advocates interested or involved in developing position papers. References to 107 position papers on children's issues that were written between 1980 and the fall of 1987 are included. The position papers are grouped into four categories: (1) children and families; (2) early childhood care and education; (3) health; and (4) kindergarten and other issues and programes in public schools. Position papers were defined as evaluative, organizationally approved documents that thoroughly examine an issue and, based upon critical analysis of the information, develop and present conclusions and recommendations for action and/or policy. Bibliographic synopses include title and date of approval, author, purpose, key components, recommendations, and the name of a contact person. (RH)
