Abstract

This set of documents consists of English, French, and Spanish translations of four pamphlets on infant stimulation. The pamphlets provide information designed for lay persons, educators and primary care personnel, academics and professionals, and for health administrators and family-planning organizations. The contents cover infant needs; infant mortality rates in world regions; the influence on infant development of different child rearing practices; infant characteristics at different periods of development; factors linked to retarded development and the effectiveness of intervention attempts; and stimulation of language and intelligence in young children.
