An Introduction to Rehabilitation of Severely Handicapped Homebound Persons.

This manual is intended as a resource document for those who train others about homebound individuals and the services available to them. Subjects addressed include (1) identification of homebound persons; (2) legislation and the severely handicapped (covering comprehensive services, centers for independent living, services for the older blind, and protection and advocacy of rights for the handicapped); (3) general information about services to the homebound; (4) models of homebound service programs; (5) employment opportunities; (6) modifications of jobs for the homebound; and (7) implications for rehabilitation agencies.
