The ninth annual EDUCOM conference developed its theme along four major lines: computing for research; computing for instruction; management information systems; and the allocation of computing resources. Papers in this volume address primarily the organizational and political considerations (Parts II, III, IV, and V), and technological/economic issues (Part VI) relevant to the utilization of computing and networking in higher education.
