Abstract
- The aim of this study is to investigate the effects of noise on the performance of simultaneous conference interpreters, and to carry out a detailed examination of verbal and temporal aspects of their output in relation to source language input. A further aim is to compare the relative effectiveness of simultaneous and consecutive interpretation in conveying information to the listener under both normal and adverse listening conditions.
