Două documente din perioada sosirii lui Egueniu Coşeriu la Montevideo

These two Coserian documents, initially written in Spanish, were edited and published (in 2009) by Johannes Kabatek, after being discovered in 2008 by Adolfo Elizaincín during a special conference organized in Montevideo. Dating back to 1950, from the Uruguayan period, they seem to have only a historical value nowadays. However, these documents are still important, since they demonstrate Coseriu’s amazing intellectual vigour and his excellent managerial abilities, even though he was only 29 years old at that time! Indeed, the revolutionizing plan which Coseriu proposed for the reorganisation of the Faculty of Humanities of Montevideo, with a focus on the linguistic disciplines and activities, is really impressive today, precisely because most of it was eventually put into practice and proved to be a success.
