Abstract

Wheat is an essential cereal in human nutrition. It provides 20% of the calories in daily intake and is an important source of proteins, carbhydrates, minerals, vitamins, and phytochemicales. In the coming decades, the globla demand for wheat will increase with the growing population worldwide, whereas its procutivity may decrease due to climate change.
