Gestión de inventarios en una empresa comercializadora de productos de primera necesidad en la ciudad de Azogues

The objective of this degree project was to design an inventory management proposal for a company that sells necessities, which seeks to correctly manage the merchandise to reduce costs, maintain the level of service, and make decisions based on data. The problem arises from the lack of knowledge of the most representative products, the high costs and expenses, the optimal order quantity not being defined, and the company not having a reorder point or a safety inventory. The methodological design was mixed, with a qualitative approach to obtain the perspectives and opinions of those involved with management and a quantitative approach using tools such as ABC analysis, projections, EOQ, ROP with safety inventories, and financial analysis. Finally, the inventory management proposal was designed, and concluded that the company has inventory and profitability problems; therefore, it is recommended to implement the proposed inventory management system, since it seeks to reduce costs and increase profitability, which benefits the company and society in general.
