L’Espai articulat per la coberta en l’arquitectura domèstica de Jan Baca

Tant pot ser per la situació privilegiada del municipi com per la seva història, Matadepera alberga un seguit d’obres construïdes durant la segona meitat del segle passat amb trets característics comuns, que defineixen un model d’habitatge que ja ha passat a la història. Jan Baca i Pericot, nascut a Terrassa el 1934 i actiu professionalment des del 1958 fins a l’actualitat, és l’arquitecte autor dels projectes que es recullen en aquest document. El treball es divideix en dues parts diferenciades. La primera consta d’una introducció que explica el context històric de les obres que s’analitzen posteriorment, així com una biografia de l’autor i una entrevista personal. Aquest apartat té la intenció de contextualitzar les obres i l’arquitecte. La segona part, sense oblidar la trajectòria completa de l’arquitecte Jan Baca i Pericot, és un recull i anàlisi de sis casos d’estudi seleccionats. La selecció es tracta de sis habitatges unifamiliars construïts en els anys compresos entre 1972 i 1990 a Matadepera que, amb criteri personal i l’acompanyament de l’autor, han estat agrupades, convertint-se en el principal objecte d’estudi de la recerca. Finalment, l’objectiu de l’estudi serà extreure els trets diferencials d’aquesta producció arquitectònica concreta, analitzant els seus precedents i les seves derivacions en l’àmbit arquitectònic local.
Both because of the privileged location of the municipality and its history, Matadepera contains a series of works built during the second half of the last century with common features, defining a housing model that has already gone down in history. Jan Baca i Pericot, born in Terrassa in 1934 and professionally active from 1958 to the present day, is the architect behind the projects included in this document. The work is divided into two distinct parts. The first consists of an introduction that explains the historical context of the works that are subsequently analyzed, as well as a biography of the author and a personal interview. This section is intended to contextualize the works and the architect. The second part, without forgetting the complete trajectory of the architect Jan Baca i Pericot, is a compilation and analysis of six selected case studies. The selection consists of six single-family houses built in the years between 1972 and 1990 in Matadepera which, with personal criteria and the author’s accompaniment, have been grouped together, becoming the main object of study of the research. Finally, the aim of the study will be to extract the differential features of this specific architectural production, analyzing its precedents and its derivations in the local architectural field.
