Abstract

Optimal light transmittance and sufficient structural strength form the basis for the ideal greenhouse roof. The trend of using diffuse light is still growing strong, but instead of achieving it with glass, diffuse energy screens can also provide a solution. Meanwhile, the space below the roof is getting fuller and fuller. Additional climate screens, netting-covered air vents and all the various system for implementing Next Generation Growing needs space around the lattice girder, presenting greenhouse designers with challenges.
