Medea (2016) de Alexandra Latishev: la actualización del mito griego en una nueva tragedia

The film Medea (2016) by the Costa Rican filmmaker Alexandra Latishev Salazar deals with the discourse on the imaginary related to sexuality and motherhood in Costa Rica. Within the framework of humanistic thinking, the discussion of these issues is fundamental as it helps to generate empathy and solidarity towards the other, in this case, towards women whose motherhood is imposed as an imperative, linked to their biological condition.
La película Medea (2016) de la cineasta costarricense Alexandra Latishev Salazar trata del discurso sobre el imaginario relativo a la sexualidad y la maternidad en Costa Rica. En el marco del pensamiento humanista, la discusión de estos temas resulta fundamental en tanto que ayuda a estimular la empatía y la solidaridad hacia el otro, en este caso, hacia las mujeres a las que se les impone la maternidad como un imperativo ligado a su condición biológica.
