Abstract
- Purpose: The purpose of this study is to examine the major players’ responses toward phenomena crisis of the cement industry in Indonesia during 2014 - 2020. Theoretical framework: The theoretical frame work by applying the theory of Strategic Management with emphasize on the Resource Base View concepts for crisis management response. Design/Methodology/Approach: The design of this study will be using a Qualitative Research Methodology by adopting Case Study Research Method through comparison study between strategic actions of SMGR and INTP, as they suffered the most in times of crisis. Findings: The findings of this research could also improve current firms’ management survival by enabling the cement players to choose among the RAIN as well as to compare their current strategic actions to the other players who perform better during a crisis. Research, practical and social implications: The findings of this research could also improve current firms’ management survival by enabling the cement players to choose among the RAIN as well as to compare their current strategic actions to the other players who perform better during a crisis. Originality/Value: The value of the study study holds a value which is to offer new alternative solutions to the industry players through a thematic concept Puzzle of Theories.
