La humanización de la justicia con relación a las personas con discapacidad: el derecho fundamental de acceso a la misma en condiciones de igualdad

Within the general line of the humanization of justice as a paradigmatic change in the evolution of our society, the treatment of disability represents one of the fields where the most intense work must be done to achieve the intended objective. Equal access to justice for this group must be achieved with public and legislative policies that favor the understanding, adaptation and integration of persons with disabilities when they come into contact with justice, thus protecting the core of this as a fundamental right. Promoting the value of the human factor as the epicenter of all actions contributes to favoring a more efficient, more equitable and consequently more humane and fair Administration of Justice.
Dentro de la línea general de la humanización de la justicia como cambio paradigmático en la evolución de nuestra sociedad, el tratamiento de la discapacidad representa uno de los campos donde se debe trabajar de forma más intensa para lograr el objetivo pretendido. El acceso a la justicia en condiciones de igualdad de este colectivo debe lograrse con políticas públicas y legislativas que favorezcan la comprensión, adaptación e integración de las personas con discapacidad cuando entran en contacto con la justicia, tutelando así el núcleo de este como derecho fundamental. Promover el valor del factor humano como epicentro de todas las actuaciones contribuye a favorecer una Administración de Justicia más eficaz, más equitativa y, en consecuencia, más humana y justa.
