Abstract

This paper analyzes the viability of implementing an e-Commerce website targeted at international schools that want to offer the unique experience of sending their students to Barcelona for the purpose of practicing sports in a world-class setting. Many sports clubs are already receiving young people from all around the world, and these sports clubs use their websites to attract their target market. Therefore, this study will evaluate the opportunities of an e-commerce marketplace platform that links International Schools with Sports Clubs. The research analyzes the e-commerce strategies of two leading sports clubs: "Football Club Barcelona" and "Tennis Club la Salut." Qualitative research is conducted by interviewing fifteen families from three different countries in order to obtain reliable insights that will help contribute to recommendations of a marketing strategy. This can serve as a guide for entrepreneurs who want to start an e-commerce marketplace platform in this niche area.
