Tresholds of dry cow blood variables obtained by receiver operating characteristic analysis for indication of milk production during early lactation

The aim of the study was to determine the association between the metabolic parameters determined in dry cows and milk production at early lactation period. The receiver operating characteristic (ROC) analysis was used as a valuable tool to evaluate prediction of milk production based on results for metabolic status of dry cows. The cut off values for metabolic parameters were determined as values below or above which daily production of milk was higher than 30 L at day 30 of lactation.
